elmt ~ pronounced element ~ is Wishtrend’s latest skincare line ~ straight outta Seoul, created by a group of researchers from BioStandard, this formula driven skincare uses high quality ingredients for the best effectiveness. elmt is a vegan, cruelty free brand that has 4 solutions, targeted for different needs: Skin Illuminating Solution (10% Niacinamide, Grape, 51.91% Pomegranate), Advanced Calming Solution, Skin Activating Solution (8% Green Tea Complex, 14.7% Chinese Skullcap) and Gentle Exfoliating Solution. They all come in these wonderful green glass bottles, with pin hole applicators ~ the sameness of the bottles makes them hard to tell apart ~ Wishtrend, please make them with different colored caps!
I received the Advanced Calming Solution with 59.12% healing, anti-inflammatory centella asiatica and super hydrating snow fungus-derived polysaccharides. This also has hydrating glycerin, trehalose and panthenol, providing concentrated hydration to your skin. This solution – actually more like a toner, is very watery and does provide great hydration. It is not sticky or tacky, doesn’t leave a residue and has no scent to it. It is very calming ~ it does help cool down and reduce redness in my skin. This has a pH level of 5, making it skin friendly with its mildly acidic pH level.

I also received Gentle Exfoliating Solution ~ oh how Wishtrend knows me so well ~ containing 49.02% superberry complex with superfoods antioxidant powerhouses blueberries and raspberries. This also includes antioxidant skin brightening vitamin C (3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid) and AHA lactic and glycolic acids, which will whisk away surface dead skin cells and oils. This also has hydrating ingredients of glycerin, trehalose and panthenol along with healing allantoin, so your skin will be soothed. Again, a clear, very watery solution, not much of a scent ~ I feel it is slightly bitter
Now, I don’t know what percentage of the AHA’s or vitamin C are, as they don’t tell us on the package, but the pH level is 3.5 – 4 but this is not a stinging or irritating acid treatment ~ it fact, it is very mild and gentle on my oily skin. For me, I love my daily 5% Mandelic Prep Toner by By Wishtrend, so I am not really in the market for a new one ~ however, if the ingredients list really appeals to you, this is a great daily maintenance exfoliating product. Don’t expect miracles, this is just upkeep ~ you will need a more potent acid treatment every now and then but this one keeps it all tidy in between treatments.

Klairs Gentle Black Facial Cleanser I really enjoy Klairs Gentle Black Deep Cleansing Oil so I was pretty excited to try out this Facial Cleanser in the Gentle Black line. The “black” comes from a complex made up of black-superfoods ~ truffle, blackberry, soybean and black cumin. This complex will hydrate your skin, while nourishing and supporting your skin barrier with antioxidants, fatty acids, anti-inflammatory and skin-brightening, elasticity benefits. This also contains anti-inflammatory fennel, healing centella along with moisturizing ceramides and beta-glucan.

The cleanser is not black in color but a creamy white with a pH level of a 6.0 This doesn’t have a fragrance and it foams up nicely, helping to remove any excess oil and dirt, without stripping my skin. This is a a solid low pH cleanser with lots of botanical ingredients.
By Wishtrend Hydra Enriched Ampoule: Water based products seem to be in vogue this year! I have seen so many hyaluronic acid skincare products released this year. Made with 70% of super hydrating, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory aloe vera polysaccharides and a green stone ~ malachite, which helps increase the antioxidant molecule glutathione activity,so this will help with combating free radical damage and reverse the signs of aging. This also has hydrolyzed vegetable protein, panthenol, glycerin and sodium hyaluronate, which helps to hydrate and bind moisture to your skin.

This comes in a pretty frosted baby blue bottle, and the serum is a watery and hydrating with no scent. Since it is so watery, I did do a pH test on it and it is a solid skin-friendly 5.5 pH level. It doesn’t irritate my skin and this is great for multiple layers as it doesn’t leave a sticky or greasy residue. There really isn’t anymore more I can say about it other than it is hydrating.
By Wishtrend Propolis Cream is by far my favorite release along with the elmt Gentle Exfoliating Solution. This contains a Probiome Complex, consisting of fermented honey, lactococcus ferment and bifida ferment for moisturizing and restoring your skin barrier. Probiotics not only soothe your skin, they strengthen your skin to defend itself, as well creating a mix of beneficial bacteria and microorganisms on your skin’s microbiome, helping your skin stay healthy.
Propolis (bee glue) is created by honey bees by using the sap from evergreens or the sap on conifer, evergreens and other trees whose leaves are needle-like. This sap is then combined with beeswax and results in a sticky, resinous goo that is used to build their hives. Propolis has been used for medicinal purposes for thousands of years and is known for its antibacterial, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal properties as well as speeding up the healing time on wounds. It contains antioxidant properties due to its slew of vitamins, minerals and has over 50 different flavonoids. It is also an emollient, so it is not only a good blemish and anti-aging treatment, it also moisturizes your skin as well.
This also has squalane, which prevents transepidermal water loss (TEWL), while keeping our skin soft, smooth and supple. It is a lovely oil as it is not heavy, doesn’t clog pores nor leaves a greasy residue. Squalane also has antioxidant benefits, helping to balance the oil-water ratio on your skin & has anti-bacterial benefits

This is a lovely gel-cream, great for oily skin types as it won’t leave a sticky or greasy residue ~ but also great for drier skin types too, as it is a nice layer of hydrating gel-cream. You can add your more thicker creams over it, but still get the benefits from the probiotics and propolis. This has a nice lightweight feel to it, slips over my skin nicely and absorbs beautifully without any sticky or tacky residue.
It isn’t pore-clogging, and it provides enough moisture in the summer months going into fall. If you wanted a gel-cream but didn’t care for the By Wishtrend Acid-Duo Hibiscus 63 Cream due to the acids, this one is just pure hydration, no AHA or PHA in here and has a similar texture to the Acid-Duo, but just a bit more creamier.
