La’dor ACV Vinegar Shampoo & Treatment Review

La’dor makes some of my favorite hair care products, like their deep conditioning Perfect Hair Fill-Up  and  unclogging, scalp clarifying nourishing  Tea Tree Scalp Clinic Hair Pack.   Except for the their Tea Tree line, they really do not cater to oily hair, but with their latest release, I found that this one works great for oily hair and scalps.   Jolse  Cosmetic, a premier K-Beauty online store,  sent me the La’dor ACV Vinegar line for review purposes.

Skin Type/ConcernsOily, blemish prone, pores, aging concerns with fine lines/wrinkles and hyper-pigmentation

I received these products complementary to review and was not paid.  All reviews are my own honest opinion and  I never have been asked to write copy for a brand.  This blog post might contain promo codes, affiliate and referral links, which using my links will help generate a small commission that helps support my blog at no extra cost to you.

Key Ingredients

40,000 ppm apple extracts are included in both of the products, along with vinegar ~  The shampoo has 20,000 ppm of vinegar whereas the treatment has 50,000 ppm of vinegar.  By fermenting the apples, it will be boosted by minerals, acids and probiotics, making for ACV ~ Apple Cider Vinegar.  I am a huge fan of vinegar rinses, but it has only been recently that I have branched out to shampoos and conditioners containing vinegar. ACV has been used for centuries to help strengthen hair, remove buildup of grease, oil and dirt and to bring back shine to your hair.   The key is acetic acid, which ACV has a lot of. Acetic acid is an  antimicrobial that will help reduce yeast, fungus and bacteria on your scalp and hair, keeping your scalp free from clogged follicles and flaky skin ~ dandruff.  Acetic acid also helps with dull and damaged hair, as it will help lower the hair’s higher alkaline pH level, resulting in healthy, stronger and smoother hair.

ACV Vinegar Shampoo contains coconut and corn derived surfactants, so it is more mild than most shampoos.  It contains 16 different types of plant extracts ~ such as hibiscus flower, loofah,  kiwi, lemon, grape, avocado, sea buckthorn and baobab seed, full of antioxidants and vitamins.  There is also tea tree extract,  which helps heal the scalp with its  disinfecting properties ~ antibacterial, fungicide, antiseptic, antimicrobial and  antiviral  It helps with preventing dry, flaky skin (dandruff) and because of its antibacterial properties, can help heal scalp issues and control excess sebum.   AHA citric acid and sugar cane, a natural source of AHA, are chemical exfoliators that can help remove surface dead skin cells.  Royal jelly  contains B-complex vitamins, nucleic acid, decanoic acid, flavonoids, essential fatty acids, amino acids, enzymes, minerals and natural antibiotic and antibacterial compounds.

This shampoo comes in two sizes, 150 mL and 430 mL, and since I love my lather, I went for the bigger size. This comes in a beautiful sunset orange bottle with a sturdy pump applicator. La’dor ACV Vinegar Shampoo doesn’t smell like vinegar at all ~ in fact, it smells like granny smith apples.  It is a very nice scent and makes me hungry for a crisp apple.  The clear gel shampoo will produce a fine bubble lather that really foams up nicely and rinses cleanly. My hair feels really clean, but not dried out or straw like and that is BEFORE the conditioner.

Ingredients: Water, Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycerin, Malus Domestica Fruit Extract (40,000PPM), Vinegar (20,000PPM), Decyl Glucoside, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Fruit Extract, Royal Jelly Extract, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Fruit Extract, Hippophae Rhamnoides Fruit Extract, Saccharum Officinarum (Sugarcane) Extract, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Extract, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Extract,Daucus Carota Sativa (Carrot) Root Extract, Prunus Mume Fruit Extract, Rubus Chamaemorus Fruit Extract, Hibiscus Sabdariffa Flower Extract, Luffa Cylindrica Fruit Extract, Actinidia Chinensis (Kiwi) Fruit Extract, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Adansonia Digitata Seed Extract, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylhydroxamic Acid, Ethylhexylglycerin, Methylpropanediol, Sodium Chloride, Polyquaternium-10, Allantoin, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Disodium EDTA, Cocamide MEA, Vincetoxicum Atratum Extract, Citric Acid, Fragrance cosDNA

La’dor ACV Vinegar Treatment pretty much has the same ACV and 16 plant extracts to help clarify and nourish your hair and scalp.  This also has moisturizing oils so your hair will be hydrated and nourished: camellia seed oil is also known by its Japanese name of tsubaki, and is a rich source of  antioxidants, vitamins, phytosqualene, and omega-6 fatty acids.  Grape seed oil is rich in linoleic acid and antioxidants, and will not leave your hair feeling greasy while it locks in that moisture.  Argan oil is one of the gold standards for oils, as it is chock full of nutrients, such as fatty acids and vitamin E.  Red palm oil is full of antibacterial benefits to help reduce inflammation, contains lipids to keep hair and scalp moisturized, while vitamins A and E soothes the scalp ~ all helping to restore hair growth.

Hydrolyzed collagen can help hair from greying and are the building blocks for keratin proteins so your hair can be thicker and keeps the scalp healthy.  Speaking of keratin, hydrolyzed keratin protects hair from damage and increasing hair strength and elasticity. Emollient hydrogenated lecithin and ceramides will help form a protective barrier around your hair strands, keeping moisture in and preventing hair from drying out. Finally, lactic acid is that final product buildup and scalp exfoliator step in case the shampoo missed some spots.

Ingredients: Water, Vinegar (50,000 ppm), Hydrogenated Starch Hydrolysate, Propylene Glycol, Cetyl Alcohol, C13-15 Alkane, Malus Domestica Fruit Extract (40,000 ppm), Dimethicone, Glycerin, Myristyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Fruit Extract, Royal Jelly Extract, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Fruit Extract, Hippophae Rhamnoides Fruit Extract, Saccharum Officinarum (Sugarcane) Extract, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Extract, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Extract,Daucus Carota Sativa (Carrot) Root Extract, Prunus Mume Fruit Extract, Rubus Chamaemorus Fruit Extract, Hibiscus Sabdariffa Flower Extract, Luffa Cylindrica Fruit Extract, Actinidia Chinensis (Kiwi) Fruit Extract, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Adansonia Digitata Seed Extract, 1,2-Hexanediol, Camellia Japonica Seed Oil, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Steartrimonium Chloride, Behentrimonium Chloride, Aminopropyl Dimethicone, Elaeis Guineensis (Palm) Oil, Amodimethicone, Cetrimonium Chloride, Trideceth-12, Isopropyl Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Hydrolyzed Keratin, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Ceramide NP, Lactic Acid, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance cosDNA

Just like the shampoo, this treatment  comes in two sizes, 150 mL and 430 mL, and since I use conditioner like it is going out of style, I like the jumbo size.  Same sunset orange bottle with the applicator, but as the product is not translucent, the orange looks more opaque.  This is due to the yellowish shade of the treatment, which is not from any artificial coloring, but due to the red flesh of the palm fruit ingredient.  Again, no vinegar scent, just apples.  This is a creamy, yet lightweight conditioner and it really helps detangle and leave my hair look smooth and feeling soft.  My scalp feels clean and my hair feels clean, and also SMELLS good!   There is no weighing down of my hair with the treatment and no greasy residue or oily feel.  I know my friend Christina at ChristinaHello used this and her hair is drier than mine. She also loved this, so I think this can be use for all hair types!
