Inna Organic Taiwanese Skincare Review

Did you know that I have a “store front” now at Amazon USA?   I don’t sell the items directly ~ my store consists of items I have tried and reviewed either here or on my Instagram account.  It makes it easy for my readers to find the products at Amazon and if you click on my links, I make a small commission at no cost to you!  Click here to see my store front

Some products were complementary to review and was not paid.  All reviews are my own honest opinion and  I never have been asked to write copy for a brand.  This blog post might contain promo codes, affiliate and referral links, which using my links will help generate a small commission that helps support my blog at no extra cost to you.

Skin Type/Concerns: Oily, blemish prone, pores, aging, hyper-pigmentation, fine lines/wrinkles

To kick off my Official Store Front, I am going to blog about an eco-friendly Taiwanese Skin Care brand called Inna Organic.  I have been reviewing their products now for over a year on my Instagram account, but never fully wrote up a blog review on them.  All products were provided complementary by Inna Organic for review purposes.

Inna Organic is a brand that is EWG Verified, ECOCert Cosmos Organic Premium Clean Beauty Skincare line from Taiwan. “Inna” means child in Hokkian, one of Taiwan’s national languages. They are free from alcohol, parabens, silicones, sulfates (SLS/SLES), phthalates and artifical fragrances and are 100% cruelty free and most of their products are vegan. Inna Organic donates 1% of their revenue to the global Pledge movement, helping support childhood education.

Lemon-Scented Tea Tree Mattifying Facial Mask ~ This one is perfect for my skin type ~ oily, blemish prone & dehydrated! This mask will help purify, reduce excess oil and reduce the appearance of pores, while providing anti-inflammatory and hydration benefits. It contains lemon balm, providing wound healing and prevents new blemishes. Tea tree is in the form of leptospermum petersonii ~ a lemon tea tree oil which is not only anti-microbial, but out lemons lemon essential oils for its lemony scent. It is very bright, crisp and stimulating to smell ~ if you don’t like traditional tea tree scents, try the lemon tea tree oil!

This also contains soothing and repairing calendula and willowherb to help regulate and reduce excess oils. The mask material is Japanese made Bemliese, which is eco-friendly and gentle.  It is made from 100% cotton liter, which are the short fibers that were never used, and is turned into a non woven sheet mask. This mask is natural and nontoxic, free of chemicals and artificial fragrances.

This mask comes enclosed between two protectors ~ a blue mesh and a plastic protector. This is to protect the shape of the thin mask material and to provide ease of application. The mask is thin, but it is strong too ~ it doesn’t tear easily or lose its shape as I apply it on my face. The mask fit is a little bit big and I do have a huge face, but it fits pretty well overall ~ there isn’t a lot of excess essence in the pouch, but the mask is wet, without being drippy. The scent is uplifting and fresh, while the mask is cooling & refreshing on my skin. After 10 minutes, I removed it and my skin felt very hydrated and a little sticky. It does dry down and  the tacky feeling does go away, leaving my skin feeling cool, refreshed with a mattified appearance and my pores did look cleaner and smaller in size. Two thumbs up for this Tea Tree mask that is lemony-fresh!  I need to purchase some more of these as summer approaches.

The Magi brought gold, frankincense and myrrh as gifts, symbolizing the earthly kingship, as a deity and  death. I don’t have gold, but I do have frankincense and myrrh!! For winter nourishment,  Inna Organic launched thicker sheet masks with their Frankincense Rich Revitalizing and Myrrh Deep Moisturizing Face Masks, along with Frankincense Revitalizing Eye Mask. Again, the mask sheet material is made from Japanese Bemliese.

Myrrh Deep Moisturizing Mask is made with antiseptic, detoxing and calming myrrh essential oil, antibacterial, antioxidant, healing and hydrating cypress water along with aloe and sage extracts.  This has a strong lavender and sage scent, which I LOVE ~ these masks do have several essential oils in them, in case you are sensitive to EO’s. This didn’t come with a protector, but the sheet mask is much thicker than my previous Inna Organic masks I have used ~ the mask is very wet, no excess serum in the pouch and the fit is quite big on my big face ~ the mask does have slits so it can be customized to fit smaller. ⁣

My skin was so HYDRATED, my skin looked really bright and clean, my pores looked “tighter”. No sticky residue with this mask, the essence dried down nicely with a cooling effect. ⁣

Ingredients: Demineralized Water, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice*, Glycerin, Propanediol, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Water*, Cupressus Sempervirens Leaf Water*, Polyglyceryl-4 Caprate, Betaine, Sodium Levulinate, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Sodium Anisate, Olea Europaea(Olive) Leaf Extract, Salvia Sclarea(Clary) Extract*, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Hyaluronate, Linum Usitatissimum(Linseed) Seed Extract, Citric Acid, Commiphora Myrrha Oil*, Lavendula Angustifolia Oil*, Salvia Sclarea(Clary) Oil*, Pogostemon Cablin Oil*, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Bioflavonoids, Brassica Oleracea Italica(Broccoli) Extract  cosDNA *Ingredients from organic farming.

I used the Frankincense Revitalizing Eye Mask with the Myrrh Facial Mask ~ these are made with anti-inflammatory and regenerative frankincense EO, antiseptic, healing and anti-inflammatory blue agave along with buddleja davidii, providing soothing, moisturizing & antioxidant benefits. ⁣

These eye patches are in the traditional teardrop shape and  since they are made from cotton, they don’t slip or slide around my face. This also has a scent to it ~ a woodsy lavender scent.   When I removed these eye patches, I could see the results immediately ~ my fine lines and  wrinkles were softened quite a bit while my skin looked tighter and more brighter. I really liked these eye patches a lot!⁣ ⁣

Ingredients: Demineralized Water, Propanediol, Cupressus Sempervirens Leaf Water*, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Water*, Glycerin*, Polyglyceryl-4 Caprate, Sodium Levulinate, Oryza Sativa Extract*, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract*, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Maltose, Agave Tequilana Stem Extract, Sodium Anisate, Boswellia Neglecta Resin Oil*, Olea Europaea (Olive) Leaf Extract, Xanthan Gum, Citric Acid, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder*, Lavendula Angustifolia Oil*, Fusanus Spicatus Wood Oil*, Buddleja Davidii Extract*, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate  cosDNA *Ingredients from organic farming.

Frankincense Rich Revitalizing Mask pretty much has the same ingredients as the eye masks and  the same scent. Its fit is the same as the Myrrh mask ~ very large, thicker sheet mask. ⁣ Since I had gotten tighter skin results with the Eye Masks, I did expect that with the Facial Mask too ~ and I did get it! My skin felt firmer and  more tight after using this, plus it had a nice radiant glow. This mask did leave behind a slight tacky finish, which disappeared after I continued with my skincare routine.⁣

Ingredients: Demineralized Water, Propanediol, Cupressus Sempervirens Leaf Water*, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Water*, Glycerin*, Polyglyceryl-4 Caprate, Sodium Levulinate, Oryza Sativa Extract*, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract*, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Maltose, Agave Tequilana Stem Extract, Sodium Anisate, Boswellia Neglecta Resin Oil*, Olea Europaea (Olive) Leaf Extract, Xanthan Gum, Citric Acid, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder*, Lavendula Angustifolia Oil*, Fusanus Spicatus Wood Oil*, Buddleja Davidii Extract*, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate cosDNA  *Ingredients from organic farming

Not only does Inna Organic have sheet masks, but they do have other skincare items.  They have a Frankincense Revitalizing mini travel set ($53.29) where you can get a taste of their products before committing to a larger size.  This TSA-approved travel size set contains Skin Purifying Cleansing Gel (15ml), Frankincense Boosting Revitalizing Toner (15ml), Frankincense Revitalizing Face Lotion (10ml), Frankincense Revitalizing Face Oil (5ml) and Frankincense Revitalizing Face & Eye Cream (5ml).

Skin Purifying Cleansing Gel is one of my favorite items in the set.   This has small ingredient list, containing hydrating and moisturizing glycerin and aloe along with antiseptic and oil reducing rosemary.  This cleansing gel is 99.65% natural ingredients with a COSMOS approved natural surfactant. This has a pH level of a 5 and has a lightweight gel texture that gently foams up.  This is a great second cleanser and it doesn’t dry out my skin.  I also love that it has a light sweet rosemary scent to it.  I would purchase the full size version of this.  Full Size 5 oz 2 pack $59.98

Ingredients: Demineralized Water, Decyl Glucoside, Glycerin, Xanthan Gum, Coco-Glucoside, Glyceryl Oleate, Sodium Levulinate, Sodium Anisate, Citric Acid, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil*, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder  cosDNA *Ingredients from organic farming.

I was a little concerned with some of the items in the Frankincense line as they contained rose hydrosol, but after testing, it seems that I didn’t have an adverse reaction to them, so I happily applied to my skin.  These do not smell like rose at all but have a nice herbal scent that has a bit of an astringent bitter undertone to them.   The key ingredient in this line is, of course, organic frankincense.  Boswellia serrata resin,  aka frankincense,  is an astringent, helps reduce blemishes, softens lines and wrinkles and can help tighten your skin.

Frankincense Boosting Revitalizing Toner is another product I really loved but I hated the mini spray bottle as I felt it was not working that well.  I took the spray pump off and just added it to my hand to apply.   Perhaps on the full size, the pump works nicely, but on the mini, it had some issues with leaking and not spraying properly.

This also contains Italian cypress, which is an astringent and amino acid betaine which is a humectant and anti-irritant, providing silky smooth skin while soothing and calming skin.  This has a pH level of a 5 as well and I really enjoyed this toner and would be a product I would purchase full size.  Full Size 5 oz $37.29

Ingredients: Demineralized Water, Cupressus Sempervirens Leaf Water*, Boswellia Carterii Distillate*, Betaine, Glycerin, Propanediol, Sodium Levulinate, Olea Europaea (Olive) Leaf Extract, Sodium Anisate, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder*, Citric Acid cosDNA *Ingredients from organic farming.

Next up is the Frankincense Revitalizing Face & Eye Cream ~ if you have dry skin, this is a great two in one product, as it is rich enough for your face and eyes.  For my oily skin, I used this only as an eye cream, as I preferred the lotion for a facial moisturizer.

This again has frankincense along with calming, natural astringent rose water, there is hydrating glycerin and sodium hyaluronate and tons of moisturizing oils ~ macadamia, jojoba, olive, frankincense, coconut along with shea butter.  This does have beeswax in it, so it is not a vegan product.   This also has antioxidant powerhouse terminalia ferdinandiana (Kakadu plum) which has high concentrations of vitamin C.   This contains lavender and sandalwood essentials oils and has a light pleasant herbal scent.

Due to all of its moisturizing ingredients, I can really feel this product on my skin ~ it does form a skin barrier, which under my eyes, is not a bad thing as it helps smooth and plump out those wrinkles. For those with drier skin or damaged skin, I think you would enjoy adding a drop or two of the oil to the cream as to give it more richness.  Full Size 1 oz $72.29

Ingredients: Demineralized Water, Rosa Damascena Flower Water*, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glycerin, Macadamia Integrifolia Seed Oil*, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil*, Cetearyl Olivate, Pentylene Glycol, Sorbitan Olivate, Hydrogenated Olive Oil, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter*, Cetearyl Alcohol, Polyglyceryl-6 Distearate, Boswellia Neglecta Resin Essential Oil*, Jojoba Esters, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil*, Ribose, Olive Oil (Olea Europea), Olive Oil Unsaponifiables, Polyglyceryl-3 Beeswax, Cetyl Alcohol, Sodium Benzoate,Tocopherol, Bisabolol, Terminalia Ferdinandiana Fruit Extract, Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract*, Xanthan Gum, Benzoic Acid, Lavandula Angustifolia Essential Oil*, Fusanus Spicatus Wood Oil*, Sodium  Hyaluronate  cosDNA *Ingredients from organic farming

Frankincense Revitalizing Face Lotion is my third favorite item ~ with organic frankincense essential oil and organic Bulgarian otto rose hydrosol , for calming and soothing care, this also contains macadamia, grape seed, jojoba, argan and coconut oils, along with antioxidant green tea, skin brightening rice extracts and calming and repairing  bisabolol.

This is so lightweight, yet creamy and hydrating.  This is a great summer moisturizer for oily skin types as it doesn’t feel heavy, filmy nor has a tacky residue.  It doesn’t add any additional shine to my face and this is a winner, in my eyes!  I really enjoyed this lotion a lot.   If you need a bit more moisture, add a few drops of the oil to this lotion.  Full Size 1.7 oz $46.99

Ingredients: Demineralized Water, Rosa Damascena Flower Water*, Glycerin, Cetearyl Olivate, Dicaprylyl Ether, Pentylene Glycol, Macadamia Integrifolia Seed Oil*, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil*, Sorbitan Olivate, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil*, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil*, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil*, Brassica Campestris (Rapeseed) Sterols, Cetearyl Alcohol, Boswellia Neglecta Resin Essential Oil*, Oryza Sativa Extract*, Polyglyceryl-4 Caprate, Tocopherol, Bisabolol, Sodium Benzoate, Xanthan Gum, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract*, Benzoic Acid, Lavandula Angustifolia Essential Oil*, Fusanus Spicatus Wood Oil*  cosDNA *Ingredients from organic farming

Finally, the Frankincense Revitalizing Face Oil ~ unlike a lot of facial oils, this is fairly light in texture and non-greasy.   According to Inna Organic, this oil is not only 100% natural, but “its structure is similar to the lipid (oils) that can provide nutrition deep into the skin.”

From Lakesis, Greece, mastic tree extract helps tone and firm skin, Japanese camellia oil hydrates, nourishes and repairs skin, Moroccan argan oil is rich in vitamin E and essential fatty acids while jojoba oil is purifying, anti-inflammatory and helps calm skin. Grape seed oil is lightweight and is the second oil in this list, which is why oily skin types can use it.  Grape seed oil will not clog pores and can help reduce and heal blemishes.

This silky oil is runny but still has a bit of thickness to it, so it is not a watery oil.  It does provide a deep sheen and glow initially but without the sticky residue.  Within a few minutes, however, it does absorb and leaves my skin feeling very supple, soft and smooth.  It didn’t clog my pores or cause me to break out.   I think I would enjoy this oil in the winter time more than the summer for day use, but I will use it as a night time oil and for under my eyes as a treatment.  Full Size 1 oz $56.29

Ingredients: Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil*, Octyldodecanol, Undecane, Dicaprylyl Ether, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil*, Tridecane, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Boswellia Neglecta Resin Essential Oil*, Camellia Oleifera Seed Oil*, Tocopherol, Pistacia Lentiscus (Mastic) Gum, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil*, Macadamia Integrifolia Seed Oil*, Lavandula Angustifolia Essential Oil*, Fusanus Spicatus Wood Oil*  cosDNA * Ingredients from organic farming

All in all, I really enjoyed the products in this travel kit ~ the cleanser, toner and lotion were stand out items for me, and I love how silky smooth my skin was with it.  I cannot attest to any long term benefits due to their size, but for immediate results, I found that they were nourishing, moisturizing and did not cause my skin to get congested or break out.
