Pura Botanica Botanic Bath Infusions Rosé Retreat Bath Salts Let’s get the one product that I loathe out of the way. I love bath salts and Botanic Bath has them in mint, lavender, citrus …and rose. And it is the rose version in this month’s box (blech). I was sneezing and watery eyed when I opened the box and then took this out of the package. Even thru the plastic baggie, I can SMELL the rose scent. Oh my. For those who don’t know, not only do I hate the scent of roses, but I am allergic like crazy. Which came first? The hatred of the scent or the allergies? I think that because I am allergic, I just automatically hate the scent. So many people love rose, however, I am sure I find a nice home for these. It is pretty ~ it has little rose petals in the pink salt crystals. I might have to order some mint bath salts to get over my disappointment (love mint!) Somehow, I didn’t think of rose as a transitional scent ~ what do you consider a transitional scent from summer to autumn? I would have thought lavender… RV $11.00

Happy Spritz created a handcrafted facial and body spray as well as a mat spray ~ it has organic tea tree essential oils to help keep your skin and mat free from bacteria and other fun stuff, like fungus. It also has eucalyptus (really wakes me up) and lemon essential oil ~ this has a clear clean scent of tea tree with just a hint of lemon in it. I love the smell of tea tree, so for me, this is very refreshing, purifying and invigorating. This comes in a frosted amber glass bottle and best of all, part of the purchase price goes to help benefit animal rescue. Love this scent ~ so refreshing. Good Medicine Lab Every Little Thing Balm Yup, I took a photo of the other side of the jar, so it looks like the name is Enchanted Formula, but it isn’t. I actually think Enchanted Formula is a better name than Every Little Thing Balm ~ ahaha. It’s that time of year when I start getting a gazillion of this pretty little pots of healing balms for my skin. I do use them, as I like to use these for minor cuts, scrapes and burns instead of an over the counter cream. This is also good for dry, cracked skin and lips too. This balm helps restore moisture, reduces inflammation and is very soothing ~ it contains 16 pure essential oils, plus some really moisturizing butters and oil. It smells very herbaceous and I did try this on my skin ~ it absorbs quickly without any sticky residue and my skin feels baby soft and smooth. Very nice!! This will come in handy for my feet when winter arrives. 1 oz RV $16.00

Eco Lips Repair Nourishing Lip Balm African Savannah Mango Ginger I have had an Eco Lips lip balm before ~ last year I received the Cocoa Vanilla from GlobeIn. You can receive either Mango Ginger, Cocoa Vanilla or Herbal Mint in this month’s box. This one is made with carrot oil, mango and ginger to help repair and heal your lips and it has a slight warming effect on your lips. This lip balm is made with several oils and butters ~ cocoa, coconut, baobab, sunflower, and also contains vitamin E. This has a light mango and ginger scent and initially, I didn’t taste the mango or ginger, but after wearing it for a few minutes, I could ~ it is very light and subtle. All ingredients are USDA certified organic and is gluten free. This lip balm will be a night time repair balm for me. I wear lip balms at night all the time because I love to wear matte lipsticks during the day ~ you need to have soft, smooth lips to pull off a matte lippie ~ I just purchased a great one at Sephora (getting off this box for a minute). It is by Kat Von D, limited edition called Project Chimps ~ 20% of the proceeds of this liquid lipstick will go to Project Chimps, “an organization that helps retire biomedical research chimps to a life of freedom and sanctuary.”
I love this warm brick red color and the only way to pull it off is by keeping my lips well moisturized and hydrated. Having chapped or dry lips is not the way to go if you want to wear matte lipsticks. Back to Eco Lips ~ they also make other balms for specific care ~ softening (cocoa-vanilla), revive (herbal mint), relax (lavender lemon), restore (coconut ginger) and renew (orange spice). Manduka The Commuter Mat Sling I received a light dove gray (color is called bliss) mat sling for my yoga mat (what else?). It is made from 100% natural cotton webbing and twill, with no velcro, snaps or buckles ~ you just loop the mat ends over your rolled up mat, pick up the the sling in the center of the handle and gravity will clinch the loops around your mat. There are two metal square buckles but you don’t have to buckle anything ~ they are there for the straps to slide thru. This also has a slightly padded shoulder for comfort and there is a saying “Practice On” and the little eco-frog logo on the strap in white. I really needed one of these as I didn’t have a good one anymore and this looks to be really sturdy. And best of all, no fiddling around with snaps and such. For my Birthday month, I think Yogi Surprise did a really great job this month ~ I won’t use the bath salts, but all of the other items are very useful to me. I love both balms, I needed a new mat sling, the Happy Spritz smells amazing and will help keep me and my mat nice and clean (haha) and the Buddha Teas Matcha Now is such a cool idea! I love it.
