Copper & Kraft “No. 356 White Sands” It seems that the Copper & Kraft candles had a bit of a problem this month ~ when I opened up my box and looked at the brown paper that these candles were wrapped in, there was a lot of waxy leakage. Not sure why that was ~ I have never seen a candle with that low melting point before ~ I know it is hot right now in the Northeast, but it was a bit of a shock. The candle tins were also very hard to open ~ just the Copper & Kraft ~ ecobabe candle tin was fine. At any rate, this scent is described as an “airy tropical beach blend will have you feeling the warm sun on your face and the sand between your toes“ It does have a light scent ~ it reminds me of the gentle scent of walking to a beach on the Cape ~ the sweet scent of beach grass. I also think there is jasmine in here, because I started to sneeze! Copper & Kraft is a Syracuse, New York company and they use natural creamy soy wax ~ no dyes ~ lead free cotton wicks, Phthalate free fragrance oils. Copper & Kraft Candle Memory Tips When burning your candle for the first time, it is important to allow it to burn for at least 2 1/2 – 3 hours so that the melt pool reaches the edge of the container. This will help the candle avoid “tunneling” or burning straight down the center, which can affect the scent throw of the candle. Allowing your soy candle to create its initial “memory burn” will result in a complete burn and increased scent throw.
Mosley Lane “Salty Lime” YAS!! I just want to stick my nose in this jar and sniff all day long ~ this is a great lime citrus scented candle that is not sweet, but with the right touch of bitter but fantastic. Its scent is described as “Tangy lime and sweet orange chased with a delicious finale of agave, kosher salt and a dash of tequila” ~ and I can smell the salt and tequila too! Mosley Lane has wax tarts and diffusers in this scent, so I will have to see about that diffuser set they have. Mosley Lane is one of my favorite brands that Flickerbox introduced me to and I love the HUGE candles with their great scents. Mosley Lane is an eco-friendly family owned business from Ohio and this huge candle in a mason glass jar with a gold screw top lid ~ don’t let the plain exterior fool you. The scents they create are amazing! The Tiny Collection (ecobabe) “Pineapple & Sage” This candle rocks! The pineapple scent is so natural ~ not fake nor sweetly cloying ~ it is beautiful and there is a background of herbal sage. This is a very relaxing and soothing scent and I love it! For a tiny candle, this packs a herbal-fruit sensory delight for your sniffer. Can you tell I love this scent ~ haha. Copper & Kraft “No. 354 Ocean Breeze” And to wrap things up, one more candle from Copper & Kraft. This is probably my least favorite scent ~ it is strongly scented ~ it reminds me of a heavy scented lily of the valley ~ let’s see what Copper & Kraft says about it “The sun-drenched fragrance of salty sea air with notes of sea spray, crisp ozone notes, driftwood and a hint of lily” Yep, well, I think that the lily is more of a hint!! haha. I bet this will smell very nice outside to help diffuse the strong floral notes. It isn’t unpleasant ~ I just think it is too much for an indoor candle. I think I found out the reason why my Copper & Kraft candles were “leaking” ~ I don’t think it is the wax, but the essential oils ~ for whatever reason, it looked like they “sweated” during transit and the oils leaked out of the candle. That is why they were so hard to open, because the inner rim of the lid and tin had a nice layer of oil that just made the lid stick to the tin. Burn time 25 ~ 30 hours 4 oz RV $7.00
Copper & Kraft Candle Safety Tips: For best results, please be sure to follow these guidelines each and every time you burn your candles.
- Always keep your wick centered and trimmed to 1/4”.
- Allow the candle to burn for 2 – 4 hours each time you light it
- Always place the candle on a heat resistant surface when burning it
- Keep the burning candle away from children, pets, drafts & flammable objects
- Do not move the candle while it is burning or if the wax is liquid
- Never leave a burning candles unattended
I think this month had a great variety of scents ~ you may not like one, but you might love another! I know that I totally adore my Salty Lime candle from Mosley Lane and The Tiny Collection Pineapple & Sage candle ~ I hope Flickerbox will start using The Tiny Collection more in future boxes because they have an amazing collection of scents! Copper & Kraft candle scents were not ones that I cared for too much, but I know these will make awesome gifts to my floral lover family and friends ~ everyone loves getting a candle! This box’s value is almost $45.00 and I paid $34.00 for my box, as I am on a month to month subscription and I am grandfathered in, so my shipping is included in the price tag. This is a pretty awesome deal this month ~ four candles and the RV value is outstanding for an eco-friendly candle sub box.
