Play! always includes really nice booklet, explaining all of the products plus some beauty hacks too.  It also contained a card that if you purchase something at Sephora’s store (in-store, not online), you will get an additional 50 points on your Sephora Beauty Insider account 🙂

bareMinerals Pop of Passion Lip Oil-Balm in Plumberry Pop  I have never tried bareMinerals oil balms before so I was pretty excited to get this.  This is in a bright plum-pink, which is perfect for the upcoming spring (or maybe delude myself that winter has gone…)  It is very moisturizing and hydrating ~ it does go on slick and melts on your lips like a really good lip balm, but has a bright glossy color that actually does stain your lips once it is rubbed off.   It has several oils ~ jojoba, sunflower and passion fruit~ plus Vitamin E to help nourish and protect your lips  Sample Size .03 oz RV $4.63

MUFE Rouge Artist Natural Lipstick in N9 Copper Pink  I have tried MUFE (Makeup Forever) lipsticks in the Rouge Artist line (in fact, this shade was in a birthday VIB box a few years ago!)  and this is a beautiful marsala shade ~ very brownish with rose tones.  This is a satin finish lipstick and it glides on smoothly.  The color is not dramatic ~ just natural and translucent.  It isn’t a shade that can easily be built up, but that is fine by me ~ this is a shade that I would grab if I am in a hurry and just need to have MLBB (my lips but better) shade.  Rouge Artist lipsticks are also very moisturizing, creamy and contain castor and lanolin oils, along with cupuaçu butter and beeswax.  Sample Size 1.5 g RV $8.83

bumble and bumble Prêt-à-Powder   This is a 3-in-1 hair product.  I currently use dry shampoos and voluminizer, so this powder is a dry shampoo, style extender and voluminizer.   This finely milled powder absorbs oil and will help coat your hair strands to thicken them and give them volume.   I wash my hair daily, but I do use these types of products after my hair is dry ~ I place a bit of the powder in my hand, rub both hands together and then run thru my hair around my scalp.   This helps give my hair texture and volume and this powder, if used properly, is invisible.  These types of dry shampoos are made for those of us who have fine and oily hair!   Travel Size  .5 oz RV $12.00

Tom Ford Black Orchid   Black Orchid is one of my favorite scents and I own the full sized version of this.  It is really an amazing scent ~ woodsy but feminine, sultry.  “The base combines woodsy notes (patchouli and sandalwood), dark chocolate, incense, amber, vetiver, vanilla and balsam.”  It is opulent, warm with a sweet-spicy scent.   It is a very complex fragrance and it will last for hours.   I have already converted a friend to this scent and she isn’t that into cosmetics.  But once she smelled it, she had to have it!  I highly recommend trying this perfume.  And finally, a non-rose scent from Sephora!  Sample Size 1.5 mL RV $4.00

Top Notes: Black Truffle, Black Orchid, Black Plum, Noir Gourmand Accord, Patchouli.

Lancôme Drama Liqui-Pencil Longwear Eyeliner in Noir Intense   I have SO many black eyeliners and I know someone who loves Lancome, so I will gift this to them.  This eyeliner is supposed to have the intense pigmentation of a liquid eyeliner but with the application ease of a gel pencil.    It is creamy, but blendable and once it sets, it will not budge or fade for 25 hours.  Sample Size . 018 oz RV $9.85

tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara    I am not in the market for a mascara at this point, as I am pretty happy with the brand I use.  However, this will be gifted along with the gel pencil.  This is a lengthening, curling, volumizing, and conditioning mascara that will increase the volume in your lashes up to 330%  (according to the tarte)   Sample Size  .10 oz RV $8.75

This is another great month from Sephora Play!    I am excited to have a new hair product from Bumble and Bumble, the two lip products are really beautiful and the colors are very wearable.  Despite that I already own Black Orchid, I am pleased that there was not another rose perfume in this box.  The two eye products will be gifted ~ it isn’t as if they are not quality items, I am just not in the market for a black eyeliner and black mascara ~ I wish Sephora would give us a color mascara!!  There weren’t any skincare products in this month’s box ~ it is more makeup heavy, but we’ve been getting a lot of skincare lately, so I am happy with the selections this month.    I paid $10.00 + sales tax (so it was still under $10.50 or something like that) and I received a RV of over $48.00.  And these boxes do contribute to Sephora’s points system, so every month, an additional 10 points, plus there is always a 50 point card in each box ~ just go down to a Sephora store and redeem.  Sometimes, I just get a small item, and that + the card = over 50 points!
