Amore Pacific Time Response ~ A Luxury Skincare Line with Premium Green Tea

AmorePacific was the first K-Beauty brand I tried without really recognizing or understanding that it was a Korean skincare brand and how K-Beauty would change how I feel about my skin forever. I love and adore their Enzyme Treatment and have tried a few other things from them, including a wonderful and expensive eye cream (review here). You can read all of my AmorePacific reviews here. Amore Pacific has a USDA certified organic green tea farm located on the beautiful Jeju Island in South Korea, where they grow 2,401 different varieties. They use a proprietary extraction process where they double squeeze the fresh, superior green tea leaves to create a highly potent and concentrated extract. It has three and half more amino acids than regular green tea , which delivers intense hydration and nourishment to your skin. Green tea is full of powerful antioxidants and due to its high concentration of polyphenols ~ catechins, tannins, flavonoids ~ helping to soothe, protect and repair your skin from both internal and external aging stressors. Green tea helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while restoring your skin’s moisture barrier over time. Amore Pacific didn’t just stop with green tea leaf water and extracts ~ no no. More green tea is in these products with epigallocatechin gallate, rich in catechin, antioxidant, helping suppress oxidation and preventing free radical damage. The Time Response Collection is AmorePacific’s gold standard of anti-aging skin care, using superior green tea, to help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and smooth out fine lines, while deeply nourishing the skin. ⁣

Time Response Eye Reserve Crème is the Best of Beauty Award Winner in 2019 Allure’s picks. I really loved their Future Response Age Defense Dual Eye Crème, which is no longer available, so I was thrilled to try this one. I was a bit scared as Amore Pacific can be perfumed, but I am happy to say this has a much lighter scent and is barely noticeable⁣. This does contain the premium green tea in here ~ green tea leaf water, green tea seed oil, green tea extract and epigallocatechin gallate, along deeply moisturizing and nourishing shea butter, sunflower seed oil, olive oil and jojoba esters. Beta-glucan will stimulate the production of collagen, speeds up wound healing, soothes and calms skin due to its anti-irritant and strong anti-inflammatory properties; moisturizes, locks in natural moisture, anti-aging/anti-wrinkle due to its antioxidant properties while helping helps repair your moisture barrier.

Yeast derived adenosine provides anti-wrinkle and anti-inflammatory benefits while glucose is a humectant and skin conditioner. Soybean stimulates the collagen production in your skin, improving skin elasticity ~ and speaking of soybeans, natto gum is fermented soybeans, which means it can penetrate your skin more easily and deeper. Natto contains vitamins, amino acids, enzymes along with along with PGA ~ polyglutamic acid. PGA helps moisturize and can penetrate to the deepest layers in your skin, all the while locking in moisture and helping increase the production of NMF (Natural Moisturizing Factor)⁣

Caffeine helps boost your blood circulation so it will reduce the puffiness and swelling. There are silicones in here, but that helps seal everything in and provides a nice smooth surface.

Skin brightening niacinamide is in here and AmorePacific also included mica and titanium dioxide, which actually does brighten and lighten the skin temporarily ~ not in an obvious way, but I can tell the difference with the luminosity when I use this cream. I actually don’t need these ingredients in here, but if you are looking for a temporary solution with darker circles, this does help a little bit to offset that⁣ ⁣

The packaging for the Timer Response is beautiful ~ all frosted and matte golden in a double plastic container ~ in this case, a jar ~ and the cap is a bright metallic gold. This has a rich cream texture that melts like butter when it comes in contact with my skin. As I stated earlier, the scent is faint and disappears quickly. I don’t really need a lot, which is good, because the price tag on this baby is huge. I don’t think I have ever used an eye cream this expensive before ~ I pat this around my eyes and the effect is pretty amazing ~ it doesn’t remove ALL wrinkles, but it softens my lines quite a bit. Mica and titanium dioxide help with a brightening & lightening effect, which is temporary, but it does help make me look a bit more awake.

Thank goodness I don’t need a lot of this cream so this little gem should last me several months⁣.

Update: I did hit the bottom of this cream by the time I wrote this review. I will say this is the best eye cream I have found to help smooth out my fine lines and soften the appearance of my crows feet around my eyes. If AmorePacific EVER wants to send me another one of these, I would be happy to accept!

Time Response Skin Reserve Serum is a product that was not on my radar, that was totally unexpected and I didn’t want to love it at all. This product was reformulated and contains a more streamlined ingredient list. Let’s see what I think of it ~ This contains hand picked green tea flowers from AmorePacific’s private garden, to create something called AbsoluTea™ Beauty Green Tea . AbsoluTea™ uses a dual infusion extraction method, including cold brew infusions, which will result in higher concentrations of catechin and amino acids. This does have the green tea leaf water, leaf extract, flower extract and epigallocatechin gallate. AbsoluTea took 15 years worth of research with more than 228,000 experiments.

This serum also has some amazing hydrating ingredients, such as anti-inflammatory bamboo juice. Bamboo contains over 70% of silica, which is a crucial item when it comes to your skin’s connective tissue, collagen. By stimulating certain cells, silica helps strengthen your collagen and elastin, which in turn will help firm and tone your skin and plump up your skin, so fine lines and wrinkles are not as noticeable. Bamboo also is a very soothing ingredient that is good for sensitive skin, as it is an anti-irritant, retains moisture and helps combat free radicals as it does contain anti-oxidant proprieties as well. Natto gum gives us its 1-2 punch of polyglutamic acid and (Natural Moisturizing Facto.

Licorice reduces flakiness in skin, anti-irritant and anti-inflammatory which soothes skin, reduces redness. It also is a skin lightener and brightener, preventing hyper-pigmentation. Anti-inflammatory panthenol, helping cellular renewal and is an effective moisturizer. Panthenol is a natural humectant, which retains moisture and hydrates the skin. It also is a good lubricant on the skin, making skin look soft and smooth. Trehalose keeps skin healthy and retains moisture to help your skin from drying out. Betaine is an amino acid that is a humectant and anti-irritant, providing silky smooth skin and soothes and calms skin.

Adenosine is a yeast derived, amino acid and it became popular after it was found to help improve the reduction of wrinkles, smoothing your skin and anti-inflammatory. Adenosine is safe to use day and night, unlike vitamin C and retinol. Panax ginseng is used in anti-aging skin care products, as it is can stimulate the skin and activate the blood flow, which will increase toning and production of new skin cells. Ginseng detoxes your skin and leaves it radiant and glowing. Applied topically, it helps stimulate collagen production to promote cellular renewal. Its herbal properties and usage dates back over 5,000 years.

Again, the packaging is so luxe ~ a tall, vacuum pump bottle, with that double plastic layer ~ frosted matte gold with a bright gold top. This product is a lot more floral scented than the eye cream, so I was side-eyeing it a bit, until I applied it to my face. The texture is a lightweight stiffer gel, slick and smooth, due to the dimethicones in here. It spreads easily on my skin and doesn’t cause my pores to get clogged nor does it leave a greasy residue, but I can feel the protective skin barrier film. I would not say it is hydrating, but more of an occlusive seal for my skin. And wow. This stuff leaves my skin soft and very smooth, very supple. It’s like it is refining my skin texture when I use it. With the smoothness, came a nice radiant glow that I can only attribute to this serum.

That being said…. This isn’t an inexpensive product ~ if you have the budget for it and can overlook the scent for the results, then give it a try. You might be able to find samples of it on eBay in those sachets or mini bottles. Since this is so expensive and I can get the smoothing results with my Curology and the radiance from other products, I would not purchase this. It’s not that I do not like it, I DO ~ I really enjoyed this serum. I just don’t have the budget for it. Now, the eye cream, that I could save up for and I would purchase it or ask it as a gift. That eye cream is really worth it.
