My bae…Jolse is a premier Korean online store and they often have new releases way and once I saw these Innisfree Wash Off masks go online, I wanted to try them! I just throw my money at Innisfree, so when Jolse let me choose some items to review, I picked two of the 4 new masks to try. I purchased the 3rd one and the 4th, I cannot use due to its ingredients. I loved the old, discontinued Innisfree masks ~ Jeju Sudachi Soothing Mask and Jeju Fermented Leaven Mask ~ so I am happy to see Innsifree come out with some new wash off mask packs
- Real Grapefruit ~ Scrub type wash-off pack for smooth and brilliant skin. Gentle exfoliating effect with salt.
- Real Peppermint ~ Clay type wash-off pack for clear and calming skin with moisturizing texture.
- Real Quinoa ~ Dense and nutritious wash-off pack for elastic and moist skin.
- Real Rose ~ Self heating wash-off pack for smooth and glowing skin. Fragrant and nutritious texture
Each mask comes in a 100 mL tub. I chose Grapefruit, Peppermint and purchased Quinoa. I will review all 3 masks here at my blog and I am starting out with the peppermint version.

I actually like the fact that Innisfree wash off masks come in a compact tub of 100 mL. Sometimes, those huge 250 ~ 300 mL tubs are just too much for me to use. The product is housed in a brown tub, with a brushed finish, silver-tone screw off lid. This comes in a box, which does have the ingredients printed in English (yeah!) and the product does not have a seal, but it does have an inner lid. This mask does not come with a spatula.
Ohh, look at that beautiful forest green mask! This has chunks of azuki (red bean) in it and it smells just wonderful ~ very refreshing mint scent. It is moist and its texture is thick, but it easily spreads. Despite the beans in it, this is a creamy and smooth mask to use.
Ingredients of Note
This mask contains kaolin, a white clay that helps remove dirt and debris on your skin, while absorbing excess oil and reducing shine. Very good for oily and blemish-prone skin. It also has bentonite clay, which is for smoothing, exfoliating, cleaning pores and improving overall skin tone.
Betaine is an amino acid that is a humectant and anti-irritant, providing silky smooth skin and soothes and calms skin. Azuki beans have been used for centuries in Japanese skincare as they help remove impurities, dirt, dead skin cells and unclog pores, as it has a natural foaming action as it contains saponin. It also absorbs excess oils and since these are “chunks” in this mask, they will help gently exfoliate your skin as you rinse and massage it off your face. This also contains 3 different mint ingredients ~ wild mint powder (5,500ppm), peppermint oil (90ppm) and peppermint extract (3ppm) ~ mint has anti-bacterial properties, cleanses and closes pores and contains salicylic acid.
Centella asiatica is a common herbal ingredient that is used medicinally to help speed up wound healing, such as blemishes and skin rashes. It also helps minimize the appearance of pores. Houttuynia cordata is a medicinal herb that is found in a lot in Asian skin care products. It is an antibiotic, which helps with preventing infection from skin problems, such as blemishes. It also has powerful detox properties, is an astringent and anti-inflammatory. Salvia hispanica (chia seeds) are an antioxidant and is used to hydrated your skin. They also contain omega-3 fatty acids, so it will help calm your skin as it is an anti-inflammatory.
All in all, this has some great ingredients for oily and blemish prone skin!

This clay pack is not thin or gloppy, but a great creamy texture. You can see that the big bean chunks in it and when it dries down, it doesn’t pull on the skin or make it tight and uncomfortable.
How To Use: After washing and drying your face, apply mask on your face, avoiding eyes and mouth. After 5 to 10 minutes, rinse clean with lukewarm water. You can use this clay pack on other parts of your body, if you suffer from acne on your back or chest. Use 1 to 2 times weekly.
After applying to my face, I had an immediate cooling effect on my skin, which is due to the mint and menthol in this product. It feels amazing ~ it is like a cool breeze on my face while I am wearing this mask. As it dries down, it doesn’t itch or pull at my skin ~ it feels very comfortable. The only thing that I have a complaint about is that if I don’t apply this thickly on my face, it will flake something horribly as it dries ~ I didn’t apply a lot around my mouth area and it just kept coming off. However, the rest of my face ~ where I applied it thickly, it didn’t flake off.
After 15 minutes, I rinsed off with warm water ~ this mask rinse easily so if you want to do it as a bedtime mask, you can. It won’t be a difficult mask to remove at all with some water and a washcloth or sponge. I also massaged it around my face, so I could get some of that extra exfoliation with the azuki beans. My face felt so REFRESHED. I love products with mint in them ~ it makes my face feel cool and revitalized. My pores were very clean and much tighter after this mask treatment and my face also looked brighter and more even toned, as it reduced the redness and inflammation on my skin. My face didn’t feel dry or stripped ~ it just felt clean and hydrated.

Well, I am not surprised… Innisfree and I have a long love affair going back a while and this mask really is just beautiful. The green color, the refreshing and invigorating scent, the stellar ingredient list and the performance of actually working very well, without leaving my face dry or tight, but just clean with small tight pores ~ all spells to a major winner here. I am a clay mask junkie, so this one is a welcomed addition to my rotation. If you love Innisfree products and want a nice refreshing clay mask that works, I would give this a try. It is a nice alternative to Innisfree’s Volcanic Pore Clay Mask.
You can purchase 100mL tub of Innisfree Real Peppermint Mask for $11.61 USD, which is a savings of $3.87 off the retail price. Jolse has free shipping all the time, ships internationally and gives out free samples. The other 3 masks are also the same price and are also available at Jolse. Have you tried any of the Innisfree Real masks (past or current ones)? How did you like them ~ which ones did you try? Should I review the Grapefruit or Quinoa mask next? Let me know in the comments below 🙂
