I saw the spoiler for one of the items in this month’s box and wasn’t sure if I was going to like it when I saw it in person. Let’s see what I got and how I feel about it… They usually give one spoiler for the jewelry box, but the other 2 items are a mystery 🙂 What is Yogi Surprise?

Amethyst Stalactite Slice “Be Healed” Necklace This was the spoiler and I am not usually a fan of bright gold toned jewelry. I was also worried about the gold against amethyst as that only works, imho, if you get the deep dark purple. However, I am pleasantly surprised with this necklace ~ I still dislike the gold tone, but I will see if I can darken it a bit. This is called stalactite, because the pendent is reminiscent of real stalactites, a rock formation that hangs from the ceilings of caves. The stone is more of a gray-lavender which I think is very pretty and more my style in shades of purple. This is a slice, but the sides are polished smooth, so there are no rough edges to catch on sweaters and shirts. The slice is surrounded on 3 sides with a gold toned textured band and the bottom edge is left “raw”, but it isn’t rough. This necklace is approximately 32 inches, with a gold tone chain and lobster claw clasp with the pendent measuring 1 x 7/8 inches RV $85.00
Amethyst Crown Chakra, Third Eye ~ The color of Spirituality. Cleanses, cleansing, purifies, restructures and renews. Fosters psychic abilities Amethyst is a natural stress reliever that encourages inner strength and brings wealth and a strong business sense to its wearer. It is a crystal of spiritual growth and protection. It brings clarity of the mind to their owner and helps you to become more in tune with your feelings so that you get to know yourself on a much deeper level. Amethyst crystals repel negative energy and attract positive energy, making them a wonderful protection stone for the home. They have one of the strongest powers to rid your home of any negative influence. source
Golden Jasper Adjustable “Grounding” Bracelet Now, this bracelet is totally stunning and very fall like! It has 7 smooth polished squares of golden jasper stones, with each stone separated by two small rose gold toned beads. The stones are all different ~ stripes, spots and veins of color ranging from taupe, tan, rust brown and brown ~ the stones are beautiful. This is an adjustable bracelet, so it has the sliding macrame adjuster in a light golden thread. This has a great range, so that smaller to larger wrist sizes should be able to wear this. RV $38.00

I am very happy this month with my Yogi Surprise Jewelry Box ~ I love the bracelet and it is that time of year where I love neutral colors. The necklace is a nice surprise as I am happy with the lavender grey shade, very soft and will look great against a black turtleneck. Chocolate is always appreciated and I love chocolate with salt (I am such a salt fiend it isn’t funny ~ anyone else love their salt??) I paid $22.00 for this box and received a RV of $129.00. I honestly do not go by their retail value as I highly doubt the necklace is $85.00 ~ I go by is this box worth the 22.00 I paid for it ~ and if so, then I am happy with it. I also know that part of the proceeds from this box will go back to the local artisans that made these items and help educate their community, so that makes this a win-win for everyone.

Hi. Thank you for your review. I was wondering how you are going to darken the gold. I am not a fan of bright gold either. Thank you.

I am still thinking and researching on how to do that – I will let you know when I find out! It might be a liquid brass/silver aging product that is available at hardware stores.
