The Face Shop Raspberry Line & Lift Collagen Eye Patch Review

I have been talking up a storm on TFS Raspberry Line & Lift Collagen Eye Patches for a while now ~ I chat it up on other reviews, I have shown them off in IG mask selfies ~ they usually are hiding under a sheet mask and talked about them in comments in blogs and chat boards.  And I realized that this Holy Grail item of mine deserves its own review page.   This eye patch could also be under the name of The Face Shop Raspberry Slim & Lift Collagen Eye Patch ~ they are the same product, from what I’ve been told.  Warning:  Photos are really bad ~ white on white product ~ hate them!  Also, late night photo shoot in a dimly lit home means crappy pics.

I first received these eye patches in a Memebox over a year ago and thought, meh, yeah, whatever.  They are unassuming looking ~ a very plain white package, with some light pink squiggles.  And the name ~ totally too long ~ just call them TFS Raspberry Eye Patches and people will buy them because of the word raspberry!  Trust me on this one 😀

What Is It?

These eye patches are water soluble, hydrogels that contain extracts of wild Himalayan raspberry roots, and hydrolyzed extensin, collagen and chitosan.  They are supposed to soothe, hydrate and increase the suppleness and elasticity of your eye area.  They will also reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and are gentle for sensitive skin.

Ingredients of Note

This has the trifecta of humectants: Glycerin, Beta-Glucan and Sodium Hyaluronate, attracting and delivering moisture to your skin, helping to prevent the loss of moisture.

This also has some nice plant extracts that are full of skin care benefits ~ Brassica Oleracea Capitata (Red Cabbage): contains polyphenols which have anti-inflammatory benefits and has a high concentration of antioxidants, along with beta-carotene and vitamin C anti-aging compounds.  Glycine Soja (Soybean):  known to increase skin hydration and aid in the development of a healthy epidermis. Phaseolus Radiatus (Mung Bean) contains copper, which is a powerful anti-aging ingredient ~ it helps reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and hyper-pigmentation. It has cooling and brightening properties and it is also an anti-inflammatory, helping to reduce puffy eyes

Machilus Odoratissima Bark and Portulaca Oleracea (Purslane) will help slow down and suppress excessive collagen decay and will protect your skin from UV damage.  Mallotus Philippinensis Bark (Monkey Tree) contains anti-inflammatory properties due to its bioflavonoids

Ingredients:  Water, Glycerin, Hydrolyzed Extensin (4.5%), Hydrolyzed Collagen (.05%), Ceratonia Siliqua Gum, Chondrus Crispus (Carrageenan), Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Phaseolus Radiatus Seed Extract, Beta-Glucan, Sodium Hyaluronate,  Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate,  Polysorbate 80,  Brassica Oleracea Capitata (Red Cabbage) Extract, Rubus Ellipticus (Golden Himalayan Raspberry) Root Extrac (.01%), Machilus Odoratissima Bark Extract, Mallotus Philippinensis Bark Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Trisodium EDTA, Fragrance, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Protein, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Gelatin, Hydrolyzed Chitosan (ingredient list from hwahae)   cosDNA  analysis

Usage

These gels come really protected!!  They are in a slim plastic case that opens up and then it is protected by a clear plastic sheet and a white plastic sheet.  I just remove both of the protective plastic films as these gels are thick and sturdy enough that they do not tear easily. In fact, you can handle them pretty roughly and they hold up well.   There isn’t a ton of excess essence, but that is fine.  Seriously, with this product, it doesn’t matter.

The gel is clear, scentless and has a fine white mesh inside of the gel.  If you look closely at the gel, one side is thicker with gel than the other.  That thicker side is the side I  like to place directly on my skin, but honestly, it doesn’t matter if you don’t do that.  Trust me on this ~ that gel will all get absorbed into your skin.  Just place them under your eye and then leave on for 40 to 60 minutes.  These will not slide down your face at all.  They pretty much stay where you have put them.

Forgive me for the horrible photos ~ I took these late at night and I have no decent lighting in my home, so the color is all over the place ~ yellow in some, pink in others.  I cannot seem to take nice selfie photos at all, and certainly not close-ups!  I wanted to show my fine lines and wrinkles under my eyes ~ baring my soul ~ and even though the color is not standardized, I think you can see the details fairly well.  The first two photos are

  1. Before application.   You can see that I have a couple of deeper lines under my eyes and one that travels south.  I didn’t use sunscreen, eye cream or wear my sunglasses that often when I was younger.  It shows.
  2. Application of the hydrogel.  It fits beautifully and it very comfortable, no dripping wet mess and it sticks under my eye, not sliding around or down.

I left the patches on for an hour and by that time, all of the gel pretty much was absorbed into my skin.  You can see that the hydrogels are just basically the mesh patch with no gel essence.

These are the after photos ~ you can see that the long line under my eye is pretty much gone and I think my skin looks tighter and more firm.  I darkened the last photo on purpose, because I wanted to show that I didn’t use a brightening filter to “erase” my wrinkles.   This darkened photo accentuates my fine lines and wrinkles and you can see that this hydrogel did reduce the appearance of them when you compare it to my before photo.

Despite the crappy a$$ photos, I am pretty impressed by the results here.  That southern traveling line has been plumped up and has gone up north while my skin didn’t get all puffy from the hydration.  What you didn’t see in these horrible pics is that my under eye area looked brighter as well.   My skin looks firm as well.  These results are temporary and last about one day.

Final Thoughts

I love these.  These are my instant eye lift patches.  I have other eye patches that I use to reduce the puffiness and other ones for deep moisturizing, but I reach for TFS Raspberry Line & Lift Collagen Eye these are ones that I use when I need instant gratification and results.  For a really nice soothing treat, I leave these in the fridge before using them and they feel really cooling while working their magic.  I am terrified that The Face Shop will discontinue these eye patches ~ they are absolutely wonderful and I always try to find shops that carry them.

Have you tried The Face Shop Raspberry Line (or Slim) & Lift Collagen Eye Patches?  What did you think of them?  These are my absolute favorite eye gels.

Where To Purchase

These are sold in two packs and whereas they are not the most inexpensive item, they are really well worth the price tag.  All amounts are in USD currency.

  1. I’m glad these ones worked well! I tried out their Raspberry Roots Collagen Eye Patch recently and it didn’t do anything for me at all. Looks like I’ll have to look into their other Raspberry line eye patches and test them out!

  2. I grabbed some of these last weekend when I was in TFS because they were at the counter and the words “Line & Lift” peaked my interests. I am on the search for what will improve my under eye area and thought in that split second while checking out, “let me give these a go.” Fast forward to now a week later, I was searching to read reviews on it before use and found your blog. Seeing your before and after photos is motivating. How long does the effect last and have you seen an improvement overtime? How often do you use it?

    1. The effect lasts for about a day. I haven’t seen an improvement over time, because time keeps marching across my face… 😦 But whenever I want to have an instant eye lift and firming, I reach for these. Let me know how they work for you!
