Here I go again with another Manyo Factory product!!  Memebox gave me the opportunity to pick out a product when they launched Manyo Factory a few weeks ago and I really went ga-ga over this one.  Galactomyces?  Check.  Niacinamide?  Check.  Improve Skin Texture and Tone? Check & Check.  Count me in on this one.

This is a multifunctional and highly concentrated ampoule that delivers intensive care to the skin with its special ingredients. Its unique blend of Fermented Galactomyces and Niacinamide fully enhances the skin’s texture and complexion by nourishing the skin’s deep layers. This tightens pores and promote clearer skin in just a matter of days! It also builds a moisture barrier to prevent skin damage caused by prolonged outdoor exposure. (This essence sold 25,000 bottles in just 2 years!)

Ingredients

There aren’t that many ingredients in this wonderful essence, so I will go over them all!  CosDNA does not indicate that any of these ingredients are trigger worthy.

Ingredients: galactomyces ferment filtrate (97%), niacinamide (2%), zanthoxylum piperitum (Japanese pepper) fruit extract, pulsatilla koreana (Korean pasqueflower) extract, usnea barbata (lichen) extract, hamamelis virginiana (witch hazel) extract, sodium hyaluronate  cosDNA analysis

Galactomyces Ferment Filtrates are fermented yeast filtrates and are highly moisturizing as well as being a powerful anti-oxidant. They help fight free radicals and reverse and slow down the aging process in your skin, by reducing the appearance of existing fine lines and wrinkles while preventing new ones and also by brightening and evening out your skin tone by fading hyper-pigmentation spots. It also controls cell turnover and oiliness.  Manyo Factory Galactomyces Niacin contains 97% of this yeasty ferment.

Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) This essence contains 2% of niacinamide, which is a powerful antioxidant that acts as an anti-inflammatory, improves your skin elasticity, enhance the skin barrier function and also it helps to even out skin tone and reduce post-inflammatory hyper-pigmentation.

Zanthoxylum Piperitum (Japanese pepper) is an anti-aging ingredient, as it helps prevent and repair damaged skin and it helps stimulate skin cell growth as it combats free radicals.

Pulsatilla Koreana (Korean pasqueflower) is a antimicrobial and will help kill and prevent infections.

Usnea Barbata (lichen) is a natural anti-bacterial and anti fungal ingredient, helping to prevent infections, treat wounds  and is also an anti-inflammatory, helping to heal and soothe.   It is a natural preservative for skincare products.

Hamamelis Virginiana (witch hazel)  is an blemish prone skin’s best friend because it has antibacterial and antiseptic qualities which helps clear up acne and it removes excess oil from skin. It also helps shrinks blood vessels, which tightens our skin. Witch Hazel can speed up healing and is a powerful anti-inflammatory, which also helps soothe skin. Finally, Witch Hazel refreshes and rejuvenates skin, refines the pores and seal in moisture.

Sodium Hyaluronate is an intensive moisturizing ingredient which bonds water to keep skin hydrated. It is a natural substance found in the human body and it made up of amino and uronic acids, and helps retain 100 to 1,000 times its own water weight in our skin cells.

This is a multi-functional and highly concentrated essence and it is packaged in a clear glass bottle with a eye dropper applicator.   The tip of the dropper is slightly angled, so that the essence just doesn’t come gushing out when you release the applicator bulb.   The essence is colorless and odorless, with a watery-oily type texture.  It looks like water and even feels a bit like water, but it has a delicious slip to it ~ allowing this product to glide across my skin.  There is no oil in this product, but sodium hyaluronate, so I am sure that ingredient is causing this type of oily slip. 

On Memebox’s site, they recommend using 5 to 6 drops on your face and if you have dry skin, 6 to 7 drops.  I have oily skin and 2 drops is all I really need.  You will need to experiment on your own face to find how much you actually need.   In the swatches below, I used about 1/2 dropper and you can tell that it is too much for my one hand.

My skin initially glistens with this yeasty essence and I was worried it would be too much for my skin.  However, with a couple of taps into my skin and a minute, it absorbs nicely into my skin.  Manyo Factory Galactomyces Niacin Special Treatment Essence claims to improve your skin texture and since I have been using this, I have found my skin is soft and smooth.  I also feel that it helps tighten my pores as well and helps heal blemishes.

I did a skin moisture test after 3 minutes of application and it did increase my hydration levels by 19%. Since this is a layering product, this is acceptable to me ~ in fact, I do love to layer light hydrating products quite a bit in the summer, as they will dry faster and I can move on to the next product.  I find that my skin isn’t shiny or tacky when I use products like this ~ if I use traditional creams in the summer, my face becomes greasy and my makeup just slides right off.

I am a huge fan of this essence ~ I use it twice daily and it is like a chameleon ~ it blends well with other skincare products with no irritation or redness. I really love the feel of this on my skin ~ did I mention how it has a silky feel to it? It hydrates well enough, leaving my skin smooth.  I feel that it helps revitalize my skin, removing that dull tone that I can get sometimes when my skin is too oily and really has helped keep blemishes away. I use this day and night, and lately, with the crushing humidity and heat in the Northeast right now, I’ve been relying on this essence quite a bit to help control my oil and blemishes while smoothing and hydrating my skin.  I am hoping that over time, it will also help reduce any blemish scars and brighten up my skin tone.  This essence is also supposed to prevent skin damage caused UV rays by building a moisture barrier so that is another reason why I will continue to use this.  I will purchase this for the warmer months because it is perfect for layering without leaving a heavy residue on my face.  Are you interested in trying this product or already have it?
