I really love, love essential oils ~ I use them to freshen my home, DIY skincare products, DIY household cleansers and fresheners and even perfume oils. Herb Stop not only fulfills my need for oils, but they curate each month around a theme. This is my third box with them ~ What is Herb Stop?
Herb Stop is located in Pine, AZ and has been recognized by the community and the state of Arizona with a variety of awards. They only use ingredients from reliable and ethical sources and all of their essential oils are 100% pure, with the exception of their precious oils ~ such as Jasmine, Rose, Neroli, Sandalwood ~ and those will be blended with jojoba oil. You will receive a box of 4 bottles, either 1/6 oz or 1/3 oz) that can be essential oils, essential oil blends and/or roll-on essential oil blends. You will also receive information about your oils and how to use them, including safety information. Each box is $19.99 which includes shipping, USA only and Herb Stop will start mailing them out during the 10th thru 17th of every month. Herb Stop has over 200 varieties essential oils alone, which means the boxes will be very different each month ~ as there are also custom-made blends as well. You can auto subscribe here. What’s In Your Aroma Box?
This month’s theme is “Summer Ready”, focusing on scents that will help you lose weight, inhibit sugar cravings, improve your lymphatic circulation, which means helping reduce the appearance of cellulite. Very interesting to me, because I have heard of using scents to help suppress your appetite before, but I have never tried it. Let’s see what is in my box!
All of the essential oils, unless otherwise noted, have a screw top lid and there is a plastic lid inside that has a tube, so that you don’t spill out all of your oil if you drop the bottle (and it doesn’t break). I also like that the oils are in dark cobalt blue glass bottles to help protect them from UV rays and light.
White Grapefruit (citrus paradisi ) Pure Essential Oil This oil is 100% natural and and vegan ~ White grapefruit is used to help detox oily skin, so that toxins are drained away ~ so this is the oil that will help to reduce cellulite and puffiness. This is a great scent ~ it smells just like grapefruit peel ~ you know when you peel the fruit and drops of grapefruit oil goes everywhere? That is what this smells like. This will go well with last month’s tangerine oil! This oil can be used in food and beverages, unlike some other oils. Unless I note otherwise, all oils are bottled in the USA. 10mL RV $4.67
Description: Traditionally used for purifying for oily skin, promoting lymphatic drainage and toxin removal. Commonly used for reducing cellulite and water retention. Perfect for a morning wake-up or afternoon pick-me-up. In the car, it may be useful to relieve the anxiety and fatigue of long trips. Grapefruit promotes joy, a positive attitude and is uplifting.

Fat Attack Roll-On Oil Blend Every month so far, Herb Stop includes a custom blended roll on that matches the theme of the box. This is their “Fat Attack” and it is made with citrus and woodsy scents, along with patchouli in a base of jojoba oil. I can really smell the piney scents in this oil and as it dries down, the fennel and lemon & lime scents come thru. This is actually really nice ~ initially I was worried it smelled too much like Pine Sol, but it does dry down to a nice woodsy-citrus scent. This scent will help support healthy blood sugar levels by reducing your cravings for sweets. You can also roll it on your problem areas to help reduce water retention ~ I think I need to bathe in this stuff! haha RV $14.95
Description: Fat Attack is made with essential oils that are know to aid weight-loss programs, assist in ridding the body of water retention, support skin elasticity, as well as manage the effects of cellulite. This roll-on blend can also be used as an uplifting scent.
Ingredients: 100% Pure Essential Oils of Grapefruit, Cypress, Cedarwood, Lime, Orange, Certified Organic Basil, Lemon, Fennel & Patchouli in a base of Pure Golden Jojoba Oil.
Cypress Pure Essential Oil This is a new type of scent for me and it really does remind me of Pine Sol!! ahaha. It is very pine-y smelling but with a bright scent, not a warm pine scent. I am not sure how I feel about this one ~ it might be good for when I want to freshen up my home, however. This can be used to help when you have sinus problems or are ill instead of using eucalyptus. This oil, when mixed with a carrier oil and geranium oil (which I received in my first box) will help reduce the appearance of spider and varicose veins, when applied on your skin. I will have to give this a try! 10mL RV $7.93
Description: Traditionally used as anti-rheumatic, cleansing, mucolytic/anti-catarrhal. May be healing and balancing to the reproductive system, used for PMS, menopause and menstrual disturbances. May be used to stimulate circulation, for varicose veins and hemorrhoids, cellulite and its styptic action is useful for small wounds and bleeding gums. May aid lymphatic drainage and reduces oiliness of skin. Cypress is often associated with the passing of a soul, bringing comfort to those left behind. Cypress trees are often grown around graveyards. Jesus’ cross, and Noah’s ark are thought to have been made from the cypress tree.
Ingredients: 100% Pure Cupressus sempervirens (Cypress) Essential Oil.

- Parts Used: Leaf
- Extraction Method: Steam Distilled
Fennel (Sweet) Pure Essential Oil I love fennel ~ whether I am eating it raw (so sweet & crunchy), braised (delicious ~ braise it with golden apples and onions for a lovely sweet vegetable dish) or using the seeds in various grain recipes to give it that licorice taste ~ so it is no wonder that I love the scent of fennel. It is so aromatic and it does smell like sweet licorice. This oil has a bit more of bite to it, but it does dry down to a sweeter scent. Fennel is a key ingredient to help soothe and aid with digestive issues, and it is also a diuretic. I just know I love the scent! 5 mL RV $4.20
Description: Traditionally used as a digestive stimulant, stimulates milk flow, adrenal function and lymphatic drainage. Commonly used as a diuretic and may have detoxifying properties, making it useful for water retention, cellulite, and may aid in obesity. Traditionally used as a carminative for gas, nausea and indigestion.
Ingredients: 100% Pure Foeniculum vulgare (Fennel) Essential Oil. FCC.
- Origin: United States
- Parts Used: Seed
- Extraction Method: Steam Distilled
Herb Stop also included an “Cellulite Buster Salt Glow” salt body scrub, using all of the oils in this month’s box ~ 4 drops grapefruit, 3 drops cypress, 1-2 drops fennel added to 1/2 cup of sea salt and your favorite carrier oil ~ you put the salt in a jar, cover with the carrier oil until salt is saturated. Mix your essentials oils well and this will help exfoliate your skin while nourishing it with the oils. They also have included a promo code to save 10% off any of their full sized oils and roll-on’s in their shop ~ use ABJ16.
I personally am going to mix some of my oils with a carrier oil to make some perfumes ~ I love using Majestic Pure Sweet Almond Oil as my carrier oil, because it is scentless and will not interfere with the essential oil scents. I also have these cute cobalt blue roll on bottles that I just add the carrier oil, a few drops of my essential oils, snap on the roller ball ~ and instant perfume oil! I purchase Majestic Pure Sweet Almond Oil (click here) and the bottles (click here) at Amazon. These are fairly inexpensive and you can reuse the bottles as well.
Another great box from Herb Stop ~ I am not sure they can go wrong as if you are into essential oils like I am, there is no such thing as a bad oil. If I get one that I am allergic too, it is easy to gift those away, as I find that my friends and family are really interested in oils as well. You don’t even need anything fancy to use these oils either. I paid $19.99 for this and received a value of almost $32.00, which included a custom blend recipe roll on. Please note, essentials oils are not to replace seeing a doctor if you have serious ailments or issues. However, aromatherapy, scents and herbal tinctures/oils have been used for centuries with great success. So, I would never state that this should replace seeing your doctor, but if you know your body and you have discussed this with your doctor, you should be able to use essential oils for minor treatments. If you are interested in subscribing, you can do so here and use promo code BFFM15 to receive 15% off your first box!
It looks like they will be doing sneak peeks on their Instagram account for upcoming months and I really appreciate the teasers. Have you signed up for Herb Stop’s essential oil box? Are you interested in doing so? I need to get an oil box to hold all of my essential oils now!
