Unboxing June 2016 ToGoSpa Society Box

What is ToGoSpa Society Box? Well, it is a monthly subscription services that caters to supplying me with my eye gel habit. They also include an additional product ~ sometimes it is more than one ~ called The Benefit. Every month, we get a hint what the next month’s Benefit theme is and it was “balls” and one of my guesses was stress balls. Was I right? Let’s find out!

Before I head into the unboxing, I want to briefly tell you what ToGoSpa Society is, if you don’t know. If you do know, you can skip down a bit to my unboxing 🙂 I subscribe to ToGoSpa Society just to get their amazing eye gels monthly and they also add in a “benefit” product(s) that varies monthly. What is The Benefit? It’s a special gift from us to you! On our never ending quest to discover the best of the best in “on the go” spa products, we find some extraordinary things! We want to share some of this booty with you, and The Benefit allows us do just that! Each month, along with your EYES, you’ll receive a unique and special gift of one of our favorite products. It could be a gift of our own ToGoSpa brand products, or another brand that we covet. The Benefit will be a full size, spa quality, awesome gift valued from $20 – $50. We won’t tell you what it is, but we know you’re going to LOVE it!

Which flavor of EYES will I receive? Your call. You’ll get to choose between Refreshing Ice Water, Rejuvenating Green Tea and Replenishing Coconut, or a combo of ALL 3.

How does my participation work? Each month you’ll receive you 15 pair of EYES or 30 pair of Eyes and The Benefit. Then we’ll send you a brief questionnaire and ask a few basic things about your experience, and if it’s something you think is worthy of ending up in the ToGoSpa store. Basically, you’re going to be the “deciders” of any ToGoSpa products going forward.

I am on the $27.50 variety plan, but I have been grandfathered in, so I pay $22.00 a month ~ and will receive the same Benefit product as the other plans, so I am glad that I am not missing out on that! ToGoSpa makes it really easy to switch your plans online as well. The $27.50 variety plan will supply me 2 packs of eye gels ~ randomly selected from Ice Water, Green Tea, Coconut and Pomegranate packs with each pack containing 3 pairs of gels (6 treatments total) ~ plus a “benefit” product, which could be one of their products or a product that they really like ~ valued at $20.00 to $50.00

The “Benefit” Product

Well, one of my guesses was stress balls, but this is pretty close!

T Spheres Aromatherapy-infused massage balls! This is REALLY nice and I do love my essential oils and aromatherapy. It isn’t to say that this takes the place of seeing a doctor, but there is a reason why oils and herbs have been used in traditional remedies for thousands of years. This benefit marries aromatherapy with massage balls, created by T Spheres. This set is the Perk Up set, they have other scents, and Perk Up is designed to be refreshing, fight fatigue and help concentration with its blend of pink grapefruit and peppermint oils. Now, I did get 3 mL refresher spray that has pink grapefruit and peppermint essential oils in an organic jojoba oil base, but the 45 mm balls, made from a double-purified rubber compound in the color pink, are infused with the grapefruit and peppermint oils, so as I roll them over my arms or neck, I can smell the oils. These are new, so I also smell the rubber, but I think that will disappear as I break them. I did receive two great instructional pamphlets, with different ways to use my balls (haha) and I already used them at work today on my arms ~ as I suffer from carpal tunnel so my arms ache at times. According to T Spheres, these balls are “molded specifically for myofascial massage, acupressure and trigger point relief, and safe for skin contact”, so this means I can use them around my temples as well, instead of massaging with my fingers.

The refresher oil can be used as a standalone, or as its name implies, a refresher for the massage balls ~You either pump a couple of times in your hand and massage your hands with the T Spheres or you can spray into the bag directly and place the T Spheres in the bag so it absorbs the scent.

Peppermint qualities: Antidepressant ~ Improves concentration ~ Gentle Relief from nausea and travel sickness ~ Natural pain reliever (headache relief)

Pink GrapeFruit qualities: Uplifting ~ Empowering ~ Detoxifying ~ Stimulating

I love that these have a jute carrying bag with the T Spheres logo and the inside is lined with vinyl so that if the balls get wet or greasy, it won’t leak thru. You can also heat or cool these for a different experience based on the pain levels. T Spheres website also has a lot of different instructional videos on how to use your massage balls and they do sell smaller and larger sizes as well as different scents. This is really exciting to me!! I am so happy to have this product and I am going to purchase the smaller & larger sizes. RV $35.00

Roll T Spheres under the foot, across the body, place them behind you in a seated position or lie on them to release muscle tension. Beginners: Use a pillow or in bed for cushioning if the pressure is too intense when lying on T Spheres.

Warm technique: Bring water to a boil on the stove or in an electric teakettle – next drop one or both T Spheres in the boiling water for 2-3 minutes, remove and pat dry. Alternatively – place in a microwave-safe bowl with water and microwave for 1-2 minutes. Always test the temperature before application when using warm technique.

Cold technique: Place in freezer for 30 minutes or store in the freezer (use a zip lock bag to retain freshness). This technique is recommended for migraines (at onset), headaches, sinusitis, to calm swelling from seasonal allergies and hangovers.

I cannot tell you how happy I am with the Benefit this month! I totally dig these massage balls and have already ordered a larger size for my back and am waiting for the smaller peppermint infused ones to come in stock for my temples. This is fantastic, seriously one of the best benefits ToGoSpa has offered in their boxes. It is very much a spa product and I love the scent too! I paid $22.00, which included shipping and received a value of $60.00 If you order before the 15th, you can still get this month’s box. So, next month, ToGoSpa hinted that it will be “Shhhh, our lips are sealed” Well, obviously a lip product, right? We recently received a lip scrub and lip balm, so I wonder if they have a lip mask coming out?
