Coconut Milk Body Scrub by Majestic Pure Review

I am a member with Tomoson network, which gives bloggers the chance to find opportunities to review products that they are interested in. I signed up for some Majestic Pure body scrubs, of which I have reviewed their coffee scrub and now I am reviewing their coconut milk version. I love body scrubs and use them all the time and I have decided to continue reviewing my current stash of body scrubs (of which I have many!!) over the next month or so. Majestic Pure Coconut Milk Body Scrub is 100% natural and contains many organic ingredients, including oils and butters that will help moisturize your skin, while gently exfoliating and polishing your skin to softness. It is made in the USA in a GMP lab and cruelty free.

Coconut Milk is rich in vitamins and minerals ~ vitamins C, E, B1, B3, B5 and B6, iron, phosphorus, calcium ~ and natural proteins which help soothe and moisturize your skin. It helps add moisturize back to dry skin, leaving it smooth and glowing. Its vitamins C and copper will enhance your skin elasticity, so that it can prevent wrinkles, sagging skin and hyper-pigmentation. It also has natural essential fatty acids that soothe and treat dry skin.
Grapeseed oil has been used since the 16th century and it contains moisturizing and nourishing compounds, such as linoleic acid (omega 6 essential fatty acid) and vitamins. It absorbs into your skin without an oily feeling and assists other ingredients to penetrate deeper into your ski
Almond oil lubricants your skin, leaving a soft, smooth and glowing appearance. It is very mild and your skin will absorb it quickly, protecting your skin from drying out, due to its high content of fatty acids ~ it will also strengthen your skin barrier function as well.
Dead Sea salt, which is a mineral salt ~ not to be confused with regular salt, which contains mainly sodium chloride and that type of salt will dehydrate your skin. Dead Sea salt is rich in minerals, such as magnesium and calcium and actually improves your skin’s hydration because it will strengthen your skin’s barrier function. These minerals are classified as natural moisturization factors by scientists. Dead Sea salt helps detox your skin and removes dead skin and helps reduce skin blemishes.

This product also contains other rich oils ~ safflower, sunflower, apricot kernel and avocado oil ~ all which are rich in vitamins, fatty acids and antioxidants that can help with nourishing your skin while combating free radicals.

This is a fine grained body scrub ~ the salt granules are very small and not chunky. It also is not a moist scrub ~ it is very fluffy in the jar, but it does have weight. I was very disappointed in the scent ~ this is made with coconut milk, not oil and the scent is very light. It does not linger or have a really nice coconut scent, which I was hoping for ~ so if you are expecting a tropical coconut explosion, you aren’t going to get that with this scrub.

This isn’t so dry that it drops off in clumps when you try to apply this scrub, as it does have a lot of moisturizing oils in this product and the first ingredient is coconut milk. It is more moist than Majestic Pure’s Arabica Coffee Scrub (review here) and because it is so fine grained, it is easy to scrub up and watch the salt dissolve while I massage it into my skin. I use a circular motion and it does exfoliate gently, while moisturizing my skin ~ it is not greasy at all and I just pat my arms and legs where I applied this scrub gently so that the oils absorb into my skin.

The claim behind this scrub is that it will supports the natural chemical balance of the skin and will soften your skin while reducing dryness and flaking. It also is supposed to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and sagging skin, hyper-pigmentation and protects your skin from UV damage. I can say that this does soften and moisturize my skin, but I haven’t used this product long term to say that it will reduce wrinkles, sagging skin, hyper-pigmentation. However, since exfoliation of your skin means cellular renewal, so newer skin will appear, so it probably will help with the overall appearance of your skin to look more youthful.

I do not recommend using this scrub on your face, as it is a salt scrub and be careful if you use this on skin that has open cuts or rashes, as the salt will sting. I think this is an okay scrub, not the best I have used, but certainly not the worse. I would have given it higher marks if it really had a robust coconut scent, but since it doesn’t, I will not purchase. I have another coconut scrub that I will be trying so maybe that one will smell more coco-licious.
