Memebox Primary Raw DoYou Soy Candle DIY

I have posted about Memebox sending me a product to review, Primary Raw DoYou Soy Facial Cream, and I also mentioned that I received a Primary Raw DoYou Soy Candle DIY kit. Many of my readers have asked me to post pictures of the product, including the instructions. “DoYou” means “Soy Milk” in Korean.

This is how the kit came. I totally love the jar with the botanical soybean print.

I like soy candles because they are brighter, non-toxic, long-lasting, burn cleaner (less soot) and since they are made from soybeans, a natural and renewable source. The essential oil is made with ylang-ylang, neroli and rose. Since I am allergic to rose scents, I will be giving this candle to a dear friend of mine. Memebox sent me instructions in English and also the website where I can see the pictures on how to make this, step by step. I have chopsticks, so I am ready to begin!

Prepare the empty Do You Cream bottle: Soy Wax, wick, and essential oil.
Pour 100ml of water into an empty pot.
Place the empty Do You Cream bottle into the pot, and warm
Fill the empty Do You Cream bottle with the Soy Wax (chop up the wax first in to smaller chunks), and mix with a wooden stick until mixture is smooth.
Turn off the heat, and wait until the mixture has slightly cooled, and mix in the essential oil.
Place the wick in the center of the mix and hold it in place using a wooden stick.

And…TA DA!! The finished candle….

This was a fun DIY product and very easy to make. I hope that Memebox will carry this DIY candle in their shop, as many people have expressed an interest in owning one of their own! I would love to get some more of them, and substitute my own essential oils.
