Battlez posts were originally posted on my Instragram feed and are quick comparisons.  I will link to more in-depth reviews here at my blog if I have done one.

My Skincare Battlez of the three PHA peeling creams I have used so far: Skinfood Freshmade Pineapple Mask (Peeling Cream), Swanicoco PHA 10% Coco Peeling Cream and cosRX PHA Moisture Renewal Power Cream.

This Battle was pretty much well received on Instagram and I will be doing a full blog review on cosRX PHA Moisture Renewal Power Cream soon.  I have done full reviews on Skinfood Freshmade Pineapple Mask (Peeling Cream) and Swanicoco PHA 10% Coco Peeling Cream.  cosRX ingredients and percentage of PHA was released after I did this battle and I have updated it here accordingly.

Skin Type/Concerns: Oily, blemish prone, aging skin with hyper-pigmentation and fine lines/wrinkles.

Swatches

Out of the three, Skinfood had the most liquid like cream texture ~ it was the easiest to glide over my skin.  Swanicoco had the most dense texture and cosRX was in the middle of the two.

Final Thoughts

All of these PHA creams needed another moisturizer over them to prevent the drying and stickiness. The pilling in the morning was an unfortunate side effect. cosRX has 3% PHA with a pH level of 5, whereas  Swanicoco  has 10%  PHA with a pH level of 4, making the Swanicoco product the best one of the three. I found a study and a 10% gluconolactone had a level of 3.6, so this was the lowest of the three.

I am still testing out cosRX, but it does have a higher pH level and I don’t think it works as well as the Swanicoco, but it is a tad more moisturizing overnight ~ initial moisture level test found it to be less than Swanicoco, but in the morning, my skin felt a bit more hydrated with cosRX. Key phrase ~ a bit.

Overall for results, I think Swanicoco is the best of the trio. I saw immediate brightening effects with it. If it was by scent alone, Skinfood would win, but alas, Skinfood did nothing for me in terms of brightening. cosRX is still too early to tell, but I have not noticed brightening ~ at this phase when I was using Swanicoco, I had brightening results. Swanicoco is the more expensive of the three ~ I am assuming cosRX will fall in between Skinfood and Swanicoco for expense, but I feel that its PHA percentage and pH level is optimal for an exfoliating product.  I have one more PHA cream to use and that is by Make Prem.  It is a gel cream, so I will probably start using it in July.
