Beautibi released TWO 2016 Best Of Mask Party Sets and Jen sent both of them to me to review for you! As the theme states, these masks are the best sellers from Beautibi’s masks that they sell at their online shop, plus two new brands that they just recently released! Both sets are sold out now, but you never know ~ Jen might have some more surprises up her sleeves! There were two Party Sets: Set A: Hydration/Soothing and Set B: Repair/Brightening. I will unbox the sets and do some reviews ~ ones marked original review means I have tried this in the past and one with new review means just that! I am trying out the mask for the first time. I will continue to try the masks and post my reviews on IG and update this blog post.

Beaute Forest Black Soybean & Ginseng Fine Fairness Mask (Taiwan) Original Review: This is a black sheet mask and it is a JUICY one!! I actually love really masks that are soaked in essence and this one is just that ~ but not annoyingly so that it drips everywhere. The essence stayed on my face. This does not have a scent that I can detect this is supposed to be a firming mask. I don’t know, I think I have too many loose parts in my face for a mask to be able to firm up anything, but I have to say, I do love the way this mask felt on my face, nice and moist, cool to the touch and ready for my nighttime skin care products. My face felt very hydrated and the mask fit was really good as well ~ very nice soft charcoal mask which will absorb oil and dirt. It fit everywhere with the exception of the nose ~ could have been longer in the nose area.

Key Ingredients: Soy ~ This is the black bean in the description – and soy contains ceramides used to protect and moisturize skin and I think this is one of the best ingredients for aging skin. Panax ginseng ~ Love my Ginseng! It is known and used for its soothing and skin-softening properties.

Annie’s Way Mask Gallery Black Rose Devil’s Moisturizing Secret (Taiwan) I love Annie’s Ways masks, but I have not tried their Mask Gallery series. I am, alas, allergic to Rose, but I will say that the packaging on this mask is beautiful ~ I love the deep wine colored roses design. Rose is a soothing and moisturizing ingredient and this also has chamomile (more soothing) and aloe (more moisturizing). And… Pseudoalteromonas Ferment Extract ~ I haven’t seen this ingredient in a LONG time. I remember researching it a few years back ~ and this fermented bacteria is from MUD and is only found on King George Island in Antarctica, which is why it is also known as Antarcticine. This is an intense anti-aging ingredient, containing amino acids ~ glycine, histidine, lysine ~ and it will help renew, protect and hydrate your skin and aid in the stimulating collagen and elastic production as well as healing skin wounds RV $3.75

SexyLook Disney Princess Ariel (Taiwan) SexyLook has 4 black masks (charcoal) in their Princess line and this mermaid mask has some deep sea ingredients (of course!) for intense hydration: golden algae and obsidian for moisturizing and ocean collagen for smoothing. I tried the Cinderella mask (review later on in this post) and I was very pleased with the results, so I feel that I will enjoy this one as well. RV $4.00

MasKingdom Chinese Medi Lingzhi and Yam Moisturizing Mask (Taiwan) I have tried several of MasKingdom’s TCM line (see review here) and I really enjoyed them ~ I haven’t tried this one yet. MasKingdom is a special boutique brand and all their sheet masks are made of Japanese silk. This mask is marked as type 02, which means it is a deeply moisturizing mask. Lingzhi, also known as ganoderma lucidum and reishi, is an Asian fungus. It is well known in Oriental herbal medicines and contains ganodermic acid and ling zhi 8-protein ~ anti-inflammatory and anti-allergenic ~ which help reduce skin inflammation, puffiness and fine lines and wrinkles. It also helps combat free radicals, healing damage and promoting cell regeneration. Yam is found in many anti-aging firming skincare products. Wild yam is supposed to have a property similar to progesterone, called diosgenin and it also has estrogen properties. These hormones are very helpful, especially for women who are entering menopause, either peri, pre or post stages. There has been a study (source) that stated that wild yam can help restore the skin barrier in your epidermis, by encouraging the production of keratinocyte cells~ the main cells in our outer layer of skin. It also helps with hyper-pigmentation and can prevent sun spots, based on another study (source). It does make sense that wild yam will help with firming your skin. I know they have “aldea extract”, but I am thinking that might be algae extract. I am not certain for sure, so I left the original spelling in place in the ingredient. RV $8.00

L’Herboflore Lychee Translucent Hydromask (Taiwan) I love eating lychees (lychi?) ~ very yummy. Are they good for my skin? Let’s find out! From Beautibi: “Lychee, a special local fruit produced in Taiwan, is rich in polyphenols that can maintain the flexibility of skin and enhance skin brightness.” This also contains sodium hyaluronate, which is an intensive moisturizing ingredient which bonds water to keep skin hydrated. It is a natural substance found in the human body and it made up of amino and uronic acids, and helps retain 100 to 1,000 times its own water weight in our skin cells. It also contains panthenol (vitamin B5), an ingredient that helps cellular renewal and is an effective moisturizer. It is derived from plants and this ingredient comes from Vitamin B5. Panthenol is a natural humectant, which retains moisture and hydrates the skin. It also is a good lubricant on the skin, making skin look soft and smooth. It is also an anti-inflammatory RV $4.00

L’Herboflore Soy Milk Hydrating Mask (Taiwan) This is a favorite of mine .. Original Review: I actually have used this before as I keep tossing it into my cart when I purchase something at Beautibi! L’Herboflore actual mask sheet material is not my favorite at all, but the essence in these masks are fantastic. I did need a hydrating mask last night, as my skin was so dry from the cold outside and the heated indoors ~ and on top of that, I did a detox mask which did bring down the moisture a little bit. This mask had no scent that I could really tell and I left it on for about 20 minutes ~ L’Herboflore masks do dry out quickly (or at least they are now, as a heated apartment would cause it to dry out sooner). My moisture level jumped way up as it increased by 58%!! I love my soy products and this mask is no exception. No tackiness or sticky residue on my face afterwards ~ my face is almost matte as it just soaked up the treatment. No wonder I keep adding this mask to my cart RV $6.00

Company V Steam Milk Sheet Mask (Korea) This is one of the new brands that Beautibi is carrying ~ this mask is in both their Set A and Set B. This has honey and milk ~ I feel like I should be making a glass of that for myself right now!

Description: Moisturizing mask containing mild milk that soothes tired skin and makes skin elastic and honey ingredients that hydrate and moisturize dry skin and provide glow to skin. L’Herboflore Chlorella Anti-Oxidant Firming Mask (Taiwan) Why do I keep thinking of the book “Love in the Time of Cholera” when I see the word Chlorella? haha Chlorella, which is a tiny green algae, contains a slew of beneficial compounds ~ 18 amino acids, phytonutrients, phosphorous, pro-vitamin A, beta-carotene, all of the B vitamins, plus vitamins C and K, biotin and folic acid. How to Use

After cleansing and toning face, dig an amount about the size of large grapes.
Apply to face, avoiding eye and mouth areas, and spread evenly on skin
Leave on for 20 minutes (for sensitive skin, leave on for 10-15 minutes)
Rinse off and continue with the rest of your skincare routine.

Tip: Apply after skincare routine and leave on overnight as a sleeping mask. Rinse off the next morning.
Recommended use is 2-3 times a week.

23.5°N Bamboo Ultra Hydrating Gel Mask (Taiwan) New Review: OH THIS MAKES ME HAPPY!! I am SO excited for the 23.5°N line ~ when I saw the sneak peeks of it on Beautibi’s Instagram account, I had no idea that they would be included in the Mask Party. I decided to use this mask as a night sleeping pack ~ I applied this gel mask, as it is supposed be for dehydrated/dry skin, on my cheeks and neck area. I used this mask with Oriental Beauty Tea Balancing mask as well (that one went on my T-Zone) to help balance out my really oily, blemish prone areas and my almost normal skin areas on my face. This mask contains bamboo ~ an ingredient that contains over 70% of silica, which is a crucial item when it comes to your skin’s connective tissue, collagen. By stimulating certain cells, silica helps strengthen your collagen and elastin, which in turn will help firm and tone your skin and plump up your skin, so fine lines and wrinkles are not as noticeable. Bamboo also is a very soothing ingredient that is good for sensitive skin, as it is an anti-irritant, retains moisture and helps combat free radicals as it does contain anti-oxidant proprieties as well.

This also has royal jelly (produced by honey bees) and it contains B-complex vitamins, nucleic acid, decanoic acid, flavonoids, essential fatty acids, amino acids, enzymes, minerals and natural antibiotic and antibacterial compounds. It is an anti-aging ingredient as well, as it can increase collagen production in your skin. increased collagen production. The Bamboo Ultra Hydrating Gel Mask is a scentless clear jelly and it pretty much was fully absorbed into my skin overnight. In fact, I used two layers as it absorbs pretty quickly in my skin. 23.5°N Oriental Beauty Tea Balancing Gel Mask (Taiwan) New Review: I chose this one to be one of the first gel masks to try because tea + balancing + golden color. This wash off mask pack is for oily or sensitive skin and I have decided that these gellies are too wonderful to use as a wash off pack. I used did multi-masking ~ the Bamboo mask, I used on my cheeks and neck, whereas, I used this mask on my T-Zone, forehead and chin. This contains some lovely ingredients for my oily skin

Tea is full of powerful anti-oxidants, due to its high concentration of polyphenols, green tea helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Not only does it contain antioxidants but it is also has anti-inflammatory and anti-carcinogenic properties, as well as the ability to prevent collagen breakdown and reduces UV sun damage as well.
Temella Fuciformis or Snow Fungus is a white gelatinous parasitic fungus that has been used in TCM (traditional Chinese medicine) for centuries, as well as for culinary dishes. It draws water to the skin, just like hyaluronic acid, helping keep your skin hydrated and moist, plumping up fine lines and wrinkles. It is supposed to be 120% more efficient than HA, as its particles are smaller than hyaluronic acid ~ it penetrates your skin better and more easier. Snow fungus is a natural organic alternative to hyaluronic acid. It contains Vitamin D, the sunshine vitamin ~ we need produce it when we get it thru exposure to the sun and also in foods and supplements. Also, snow fungus is an antioxidant, helping combat and reserve free radical damage, including lightening of hyper-pigmentation spots.
Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) is a powerful antioxidant that acts as an anti-inflammatory, improves your skin elasticity, enhance the skin barrier function and also it helps to even out skin tone and reduce post-inflammatory hyper-pigmentation.
Peppermint is known for its anti-bacterial properties, cleanses and closes pores and has salicylic acid.

Be forewarned ~ this lovely golden jelly that smells like a wonderful cup of tea, will soak up your oil, make your pores look tight & small and mattify your skin ~ it is not a mask for dry skin types. Nope, it isn’t that moisturizing, but it does exactly what I want it to do ~ to mop up that excess oil and do some magic to my pores. When I wake up in the morning, my skin actually feels .. normal. Usually, I have a lot of oil on my T-Zone area, but not when I use this mask. I love this jelly!! Travel Size 20 mL RV $6.00

23.5°N Rice Soothing Ultra-Feather Mask (Taiwan) Ohh, a new facial mask to try out as well and this one looks very promising. It has fermented rice extracts (sake!), which are full of amino acids (over a 100), organic acids, saccharides, vitamins, nucleic acids and esters. Fermented rice helps keep your skin clear and moisturized, while helping to even out your skin tone by reducing hyper-pigmentation. Due to its own natural alcohol content, it is an astringent and also contains antibacterial properties to help control blemishes. This also has regular rice extracts, which are full of B vitamins and moisturizing ceramides. This mask is very well suited for sensitive and irritated skin. I love how it only has 9 ingredients in it ~ 23.5°N is a minimalist when it comes to their ingredient lists. RV $5.00

Beaute Forest Truffle & Resveratrol Whitening Mask (Taiwan) Original Review: One of the nicest fits with these Beaute Forest masks ~ very similar to Lovemore and Annie’s Way masks but just a tad thicker, so it doesn’t tear easily. Loads of essence in this mask, and it is a thicker clear liquid, not runny and has no scent.

This mask is very moist and I was able to leave it on for 40 minutes. This is a whitening mask, and it does have isonicotinamide (also known as isoniacinamide) and licorice in it, which help with brightening and evening out skin tone. White Truffle extracts contains not only minerals such as calcium, potassium and magnesium, but also essential fatty acids to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Resveratrol is an antioxidant that will protect you against sun damage, increase collagen production and also combat free radicals to help prevent cell damage. This also has grape fruit extract, which combined with the resveratrol, makes this a very potent antioxidant cocktail!

My face was visibly brighter after I removed this mask (temporary results, of course) and was very moist, but no tacky residue and cool to the touch. My skin felt plumped up and I am very pleased with the results of this mask from Beaute Forest. I do think they are underrated and you should check them out. RV $3.75

Annie’s Way Mask Gallery Secret Garden Edelweiss Iris Witch’s Timeless Secret (Taiwan) Once again, beautiful packaging from Annie’s Way and I am happy that I can try out the Edelweiss Iris mask ~ this mask has some very cool ingredients, designed to help moisturize, reduce the appearance of fine lines and refine your skin texture, tightening pores.

Bee Venom (I love this stuff!!) is called Nature’s Botox and it stimulates and increases collagen product and elastic to smooth your skin, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, plump and tone our skin. It does this because applying bee venom to your skin fools your skin into thinking it has been stung and it will increase blood circulation to that area
Honey has antibacterial properties, that can speed up healing in your skin ~ think acne, rashes, cuts ~ and prevent additional infection. Not only does honey keep moisture in your skin, but it is humectant, which means it attracts moisture too! Honey is also an antioxidant, which means it helps repair and combat any damage caused by free radicals and prevents premature wrinkling.
Iris Root is rich in flavonoids and nutrients that have anti-aging benefits. It will help protect and strengthen your skin barrier and reduce fine lines and wrinkles
Edelweiss also has a high concentration of flavonoids as well as phenolic acid. These ingredients help combat UV sun damage and protect our skin. It is full of antioxidants which makes this an ideal anti-aging ingredient and it acts as an anti-inflammatory.
Salicylic Acid will help exfoliate dead skin cells and is an anti-inflammatory
Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 is a neuropeptide, so it helps retain moisture/water to your skin and relaxes your facial muscles, reducing fine lines and wrinkles. As an aside, if you have sagging skin, you should use this ingredient sparingly as it could cause your skin to sag further. It is okay in a facial sheet mask, but don’t try and purchase a cream with this as one of its top ingredients.

SexyLook Disney Princess Cinderella New Review: This black charcoal mask helps absorb excess oil and remove impurities from the skin, but this also has some anti-wrinkle and moisturizing ingredients: pumpkin enzyme, which will help gently exfoliate your skin and horse oil, which is very moisturizing ~ I’ve had good luck with masks with horse oil in it ~ Ciracle From Jeju Mayu mask is one of my favorites. The scent on this mask is a very light floral ~ it is so light I barely can tell it is there. The sheet mask is thicker because it is a charcoal mask, and it is soaked with essence ~ it feels very slick on my skin (probably the oils) It feels cool and refreshing on my face while I am wearing it. The fit isn’t the greatest in the world, but it does work. When I removed the mask after 50 minutes, my face felt very hydrated, but it also was mattified. My pores looked tighter and smaller, face is brighter and my blemishes are less red and smaller. I feel that the latter is due to the honey extract, as that ingredient is great for blemishes, as it is an antibacterial. This is a fantastic mask from SexyLook and I am pretty happy with it ~ can’t wait to try out my other Disney Princess versions. Oh and I just figured out why Cinderella mask is called that ~ it has PUMPKIN extracts (you know, her carriage to the ball was made from a PUMPKIN!! Yep, no flies on me) RV $4.00

MasKingdom Red Jujube & Roselle Mask (Taiwan) I am stumped with what red jujube and roselle are… There are rabbits jumping across this mask, but that doesn’t mean anything ~ some red dates and green leaves decorate the package as well. Off to Google, as it is my friend..

Red Jujube ~ well, I was right ~ jujubes are Korean dates ~ and they contain 20 times more vitamin C than any citrus fruit. In skin care, they are known to help reduce wrinkles, moisturize dry skin and help relieve pain from sunburns and rashes.
Roselle is Hibiscus, but I am not seeing hibiscus in the ingredient list. I am not sure why they have roselle in the name, when it isn’t an ingredient. Oh well

However, this does have licorice, to help brighten your skin tone and reduce hyper-pigmentation and black elderberry (sambucus nigra), full of antioxidants as it has flavonoids, and it also soothes your skin. I wonder if they mistook hibiscus with elderberry. I love MasKingdom masks, so I am happy to try this one out. RV $8.00

L’Herboflore Ginseng Anti-Aging Mask (Taiwan) Original Review: L’Herboflore is a Taiwanese brand and their masks are really lovely ~ ultra thin sheet masks made with “breathable hydration locking Japanese silk“. This contains Panax Ginseng ~ used in anti-aging skin care products, as it is can stimulate the skin and activate the blood flow, which will increase toning and production of new skin cells. It also has anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, due to natural carbohydrate called saponin, and will help reverse damage caused by free radicals, such as hyper-pigmentation and also combat free radicals to prevent new skin damage of fine lines and wrinkles. Ginseng detoxes your skin and leaves it radiant and glowing. Applied topically, it helps stimulate collagen production to promote cellular renewal. Its herbal properties and usage dates back over 5,000 years.

These masks are very thin, so it comes protected with a thin blue paper and a plastic “pearl paper”. I recommend removing the thin blue paper first and then applying the mask (with the plastic paper facing outwards from your face), adjusting it and then gently, very gently removing the plastic paper. This mask is drenched in essence ~ tons of it in the packet, which I just apply over the mask and onto my neck. This mask has no scent (sad face ~ I would love a ginseng scent) and because the sheet mask is sooo thin, it dries out quickly. I try not to let a mask dry out completely on my face as that defeats the purpose ~ the sheet will be sucking moisture from your face if the mask is all dried out. I removed the mask after 25 minutes and did notice that my pores looked smaller in appearance, my face was hydrated and looked brighter overall. I am a huge fan of ginseng masks and L’Herboflore, so I am happy I liked this one! RV $6.00

One of the things I LOVE about Beautibi is that I feel like I am getting a nice present whenever I purchase from them.
