Despite the fact that Genie had been hospitalized and had major health problems (stop by her youtube channel and wish her well), she still managed to get the August pouch out.   I hope that didn’t tire Genie too much, as I want her to get back to health soon!  I received my pouch the other day and this is another fantastic month from MaskGenie

de1 Collagen Moisture Mask (Taiwan)   This is a collagen mask and at first, I was like oh no ~ piggy collagen and my skin don’t agree ~ but it looks like this is made with plant collagen as I don’t see the actual collagen word in the ingredient list.  I love anything fermented and anything soybean’d, so I am pretty happy to have this mask to try out.   RV $1.90

This is another mask that is made with plant collagen (marine collagen) along with several peptides, which will help with aging concerns and dry skin.  I have tried Beauty Idea Diary in the past and I do like this brand ~ it isn’t affiliated with My Beauty Diary or Sister Diary ~ I just think that Taiwanese brands like to use the word Diary! Papa Recipe Bombee Black Honey Mask Pack (Korea)  There are two propolis masks in this month’s pouch and I am pretty excited about that!  Love propolis 🙂  I have used Papa Recipe Bombee Honey Mask before (review here), but not the Black Honey version which is a black facial sheet mask, if you are interested in that.  If this is anything like the original, I will love this ~ the original mask sheet is thin and dripping with a wonderful honey scented essence.  This mask has more ingredients including royal jelly, grapefruit seed extract and peat water (bog water ~ hmmm…maybe cause it is full of minerals or something?  It is to help with pores)  This also has propolis and honey, and the royal jelly addition just rounded this out to the trifecta of bee by-product ingredients.   This is actually a pore mask pack so I am glad to have this one.  RV $2.80

Shara Shara V-Shape Royal Mask (Korea) Shiny!!  This gold metallic package has a design of little honeycombs all over it.  This mask is made with propolis and royal jelly extracts to help bring nourishment to your skin.  Shara Shara can make some really flashy looking mask packages, but honestly, they do make some really good masks too ~ so I guess they are entitled to get a bit blingy!  This mask also has a neck area, so that your décolleté will get the benefits of this mask pack.  Royal jelly will help tone and moisturize your skin, while propolis is an anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory ingredient that will help with healing blemishes and other skin issues.  This has niacinamide as well, which is a brightening ingredient.   The mask has a raised embossed pattern, which is unusual. Luke Aloe Essence Mask (Korea)  I have tried Luke eye patches before, but never their facial sheet masks. I do love Aloe masks and it is still pretty hot out here in the Northeast, so I will be putting this to good use.  I always get a kick out of their little girls on their packages ~ those girls MEAN BUSINESS ~ put on that mask NOW!  This contains 35 mg of aloe vera extract, 2mg of aloe leaf juice powder, along with with cucumber, potato and chamomile extracts.  There is also willow bark extracts and a slew of plant extracts ~ this mask does sound really nice!  RV $1.80

Traditional Chinese Medicine Seven White Facial Mask (Hong Kong)  This was the spoiler that Genie did a month or so ago ~ she had these little pouches made up and then added the lovely cherry blossom envelope with the information printed on it.  This is why this subscription is worth it ~ the special masks and touches like these that Genie provides for her customers.  I am thrilled to get this and watch my IG account when I use this ~ I will do a mini review!  This is made of 100% natural ingredients and made in Hong Kong.  This is a brightening mask that will help remove any dullness and is good for those with blemishes, hyper-pigmentation. Genie wrote that this mask formula was beloved by the Empress Dowager Cixi  and many Imperial consorts. Based on your skin type, you would mix this with a different liquid to form a paste, apply to your face and leave on for 30 minutes

• Oily Skin: mix with egg white
• Normal/Dry/Sensitive Skin: mix with honey
• For dry winter months, you would mix with milk

This has that wonderful earthy herbal hanbang scent to it ~ I can smell it thru the plastic baggie 🙂   I don’t have this exact brand, but I did find a similar mask out on Aliexpress ~ it looks to be fairly inexpensive!  RV $2.00 (packaging, special order)
