Unboxing Beauty

I have been posting my facial sheet masks on IG and when I get a “collection” completed, I like to wrap it up here on my blog.     Beaute Forest is a Taiwanese brand and is part of the L’Herboflore company.  I actually really like these masks a lot. 

I have only tried four, as that is all that Beautibi’s online store carries.  Beaute Forest is whimsical and there is a story about the girl on the front of each mask

Royal Jelly & Pearl Moisturizing

This mask contains royal jelly 🐝🐝, rich in vitamins & amino acids, and pearl extracts, full of protein to help nourish your skin.   This also has brightening ingredients niacinamide and  licorice, plus hydrating and moisturizing glycerin, panthenol and sodium hyaluronate. The mask sheet is a Japanese pulp mask, which means it is a step up from your normal paper sheet masks,  and it is very smooth on my skin. The mask fits (and a bit over) on my face, but the eyes and mouth opening are strangely tiny ~ especially the eyes, they seem very close set!

The nose area is fine, it comes up next to the sides, where most masks leave gaping areas around the nose. No excess essence in the bag, but the mask has more than enough on it, and it is pretty much scent-free (or at least I didn’t detect any scent). Very refreshing and cooling on my face and after removing it, most of the essence had absorbed into my face.

There was some essence  that I just patted in and no tacky, sticky feeling. My face does feel hydrated ~ moisture reading 2 minutes after removing mask was at 58.6%, 10 minutes later, at 45.3% So, not bad! 👌👌

Black Soybean & Ginseng Fine Fairness

This is a black sheet mask and it is a JUICY one!! I actually love really masks that are soaked in essence and this one is just that ~ but not annoyingly so that it drips everywhere. The essence stayed on my face. This does not have a scent that I can detect this is supposed to be a firming mask.  I don’t know, I think I have too many loose parts in my face for a mask to be able to firm up anything, but I have to say, I do love the way this mask felt on my face, nice and moist, cool to the touch and ready for my nighttime skin care products.

My face felt very hydrated and the mask fit was really good as well ~ very nice soft charcoal mask which will absorb oil and dirt. It fit everywhere with the exception of the nose ~ could have been longer in the nose area.

Key Ingredients:  Soy ~ This is the black bean in the description – and soy contains ceramides used to protect and moisturize skin and I think this is one of the best ingredients for aging skin. Panax ginseng  ~  Love my Ginseng! It is known and used for its soothing and skin-softening properties.

Truffle & Resveratrol Whitening Mask

One of the nicest fits with these Beaute Forest masks ~ very similar to Lovemore and Annie’s Way masks but just a tad thicker, so it doesn’t tear easily. Loads of essence in this mask, and it is a thicker clear liquid, not runny and has no scent.

This mask is very moist and I was able to leave it on for 40 minutes. This is a whitening mask, and it does have isonicotinamide (also known as isoniacinamide) and licorice in it, which help with brightening and evening out skin tone. White Truffle  extracts contains not only minerals such as calcium, potassium and magnesium, but also essential fatty acids to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Resveratrol is an antioxidant that will protect you against sun damage, increase collagen production and also combat free radicals to help prevent cell damage. This also has grape fruit extract, which combined with the resveratrol, makes this a very potent antioxidant cocktail!

My face was visibly brighter after I removed this mask (temporary results, of course) and was very moist, but no tacky residue and cool to the touch. My skin felt plumped up and I am very pleased with the results of this mask from Beaute Forest.  I do think they are underrated and you should check them out

Platinum & Silk Protein Moisturizing Mask

 

Once again, the mask is a thin, but not too thin, silk mask and has enough essence in it that I could use it for 35 minutes! When I removed the sheet mask, it was still moist ~ I do not like having my masks dry completely on my face~  and I did notice that it toned down some of my ruddiness that I have around my cheeks. I have found that masks with platinum in them work really well for me in terms of brightening and evening out my skin tone. I think I will have to buy some facial cream with platinum in it!! Seriously, I haven’t been disappointed with platinum yet.

I really enjoyed these masks very much ~ I loved the fit and the smoothness of the mask, lots of essence and I visibly saw results after I removed the masks.   They were pretty much scentless, which is attractive to those who are sensitive to scented skincare products and are reasonably affordable (more than L’Herboflore!)   My two favorites are the Soybean & Ginger and  Truffle & Resveratrol.   I did buy boxes of 3 of the types ~ royal jelly, truffle and black bean.  As far as I know, the only shop that carries it that ships to the USA is Beautibi (link here) and currently they are out of stock, but will get more in their shop soon.  I highly recommend trying Beaute Forest masks ~ two thumbs up!
