I wanted to share with you a few products that are so fresh and spring/summer time ready ~ greens and blues and just great smelling too!
Holika Holika Aloe 92% Shower Gel I first received this in a Beauteque bag last winter and although I joke about the Demon Penis shape, this stuff is amazing! I love this shower gel as it moisturizing and does a great job with cleansing. I just put some on my body poof and it foams up nicely. It also smells delicious ~ the classic Aloe Vera scent with a nice cucumber fragrance ~ it is so refreshing and cooling. Whenever I use it, I think of spring time ~ the warm-cool breeze with a water soaked fragrance…Boston does rain a lot during spring ~ haha. I do recommend this body gel if you like green, fresh scents. I purchase mine from beautynetkorea, because they always have free shipping, even with heavy items like these! Like the name says, this contains 92% of aloe vera leaf juice and is very soothing as well. If you have sunburns or skin irritations, this might be something to try out. This doesn’t contain any parabens, benzopheonone, mineral oil, propylene glycol, BHT, animal proteins or synthetic ingredients. This does contain two sulfates, but they are rated “good” sulfates (see my cheat sheet here) There are no triggers in this body wash. Full Size 250 mL Retails anywhere between $11.70 to $13.00

Innisfree Jeju Sudachi Soothing Mask (with citrus sudachi and green complex) This little jar with the firm lime-green colored jelly inside is going to be very popular with me over the warm months. This mask is very cooling and soothing and it does add moisturize back into my skin. However, it doesn’t add back in any oiliness, and I will have to mention this does have alcohol in it. That said, because I have oily skin and it is really bad in spring/summer due to the rising temperatures, I don’t mind having a treatment with alcohol in it ~ I just need to remember to balance out the moisture level with some hyaluronic acid essence (cosRX makes a fantastic one!). Sudachi is a sour citrus fruit, similar to yuzu and limes. When it matures, it is orange, but it is usually picked when it is green and so it does look like a lime and is more zestier in taste and scent. It also has a higher content of Vitamin C than lemons. This also contains unshiu (tangerine), aloe vera, green tea and many other herbal and floral ingredients, but the scent is very citrus-y with its lime/tangerine scent. It is not only refreshing and cooling for your skin, but it smells fresh as well.
The transparent lime green jelly will remember its “shape”, so even after I scoop out some of this mask to put on my face, it will settle back down and look smooth, like glass. It is very sticky, but it is a wash off mask, not a leave-on one, so that doesn’t bother me. After 15 minutes, I rinse off with warm water and I use a big facial sponge, as it can be difficult to remove all of the product. I also leave this jar in the frig, as it makes it even more refreshing and cooling. I personally have found it to help soothe any skin “troubles” (aka acne) and help tone down the redness. There are no major triggers on this product either. You can find this on eBay, testerkorea.com and us.memebox.com. Full Size 100 mL Value $10.00 to $14.00

It helps the skin recover from damage by replenishing nutrients and moisture to avoid further damage. It is enriched with 9% sudachi extract which effectively relaxes tired and irritated skin while also promoting a much clearer complexion.

Innisfree Nail Polish from Ocean line So, I have to wrap up my Fresh blog post with two colors that are oceany-tropical fresh shades. These colors are from the Ocean line from last year, but I love blues/greens anyway, so it doesn’t bother me that they are a season old! The two colors I purchased are #100 Emerald Beach, which is a blue-green creme shade, very much like the shallow waters around a cove, near the beach and #102 Midnight Ocean, which is a shimmer shade of deep blue-teal with silver sparks. I took photos in different lighting, as #100 is hard to capture properly. Many of my original shots made this look like it was a robins-egg blue shade, when it is clearly not ~ it has too much green in it. Innisfree nailpolishes go on smooth and not gloppy and I do like these fun colors! It is sandal time out here and I need to paint my toenails 🙂 I purchased mine off of eBay. Full Size Value $5.00 each
