Unboxing Memebox Easter Mystery Box

I am a still a sucker for mystery boxes with Memebox.  Don’t ask why, it is the way I am wired ~ lol.  This past week, Memebox came out with not one, but TWO mystery boxes ~ an Easter box and a Berrylicious Box, of which I did purchase both and they are both sold out now. My Easter box came the other day ~ a total surprise as I didn’t even get a shipping notice ~ and MAN OH MAN, was it a heavy box!  This one really was one of the more heavier boxes that I have received from Memebox.  Well, let’s find out why!

I have a whole section in my blog,  devoted to Memebox, so if you want to know more, check out the Memebox category.

It’s Skin Mangowhite Body Mist I love the scent from the Mangowhite line from It’s Skin.  I received their makeup remover wipes in one of my Beauteque bags and the scent is a light, delicate fruity floral and it is perfect for springtime.   The initial scent is strongly scented with alcohol, but that quickly evaporates and you are left with the clean, crisp scent.   This is made from Mangosteen, not mangos, which is a completely different fruit.  This has other fruity extracts in it, such as lime, grapefruit, acerola, and papaya and I really enjoy body mists in the warmer months! Full Size 150mL Value $12.50

This is a mangosteen fruit

Ingredients: Purified water, alcohol, propylene glycol, gracinia mangostana (mangosteen) peel extract, citrus aurantifolia (lime) extract, malpighia emarginata (acerola) extract, citrus paradisi (grapefruit) extract, carica papaya (papaya) fruit extract, PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil, PPG-26-Buteth-26,  benzophenone-4, sodium citrate, disodium EDTA, citric acid, yellow No. 6 (CI 15985),  Red No. 4 (CI 14700), Red No. 33 (CI 14700), fragrance cosDNA.com analysis

Skinfood Grapefruit Refreshing Body Wash This is a HUGE bottle of body wash and was part of the reason why this box weighed so much.   I like Skinfood and I never had anything from their Grapefruit line before.   It does foam up nicely, but the scent is a very light grapefruit/citrus scent ~ it is not a strong scent, so if you were expecting a really bright, clean grapefruit-y experience, this is not the body wash for you.   I am a bit disappointed in the lack of a stronger scent, but it does clean and moisturizes my skin so I will use it up.    Full Size 320mL Value $16.50

Description:  Enjoy the refreshing citrus scent, reminiscent of a summer in the Mediterranean! Containing the extract of sun-kissed grapefruits from Israel, this gel-type body wash revitalizes and invigorates your skin and senses while gently washing away skin impurities.

Ingredients: water, sodium laureth sulfate, sodium cocoyl apple amino acids, sodium cocoyl isethionate, lauramide DEA, potassium cocoyl glycinate, TEA-cocoyl glutamate, citrus paradis (grapefruit) fruit extract, glycerin, PEG-120 methyl glucose dioleate, dodium lauroyl glutamate, betaine, polyquaternium-10, disodium EDTA, citric acid, sodium PCA, sorbitol, glycine, alanine, proline, serine, threonine, arginine, lysine, glytamic acid, methylchloroisothiazolinone, methylisothizaolinone, CI 15985, CI 17200, fragrance  cosDNA.com analysis

Skinfood Soda Black Sugar Bath Fizzer   I received this in my Beauteque Head to Toe Breakfast bag and I really like them a lot!  I am happy I have more of these.   These are made from mineral-rich Brazilian black sugar, have a nice light sweet scent and I love that you can see the “chunks” of black sugar in the egg shaped fizzer.  These fizz up fantastic and the scent, once it is released in the water, is a sweet lemony scent ~ be forewarned, your bath water will look yellowish green!  Fitting in with the Easter theme, these “eggs” are in an egg carton ~ how cute is that?    Full Size 63 g (2 eggs) Value $8.00

Description: Containing brown sugar rich in minerals, this bath fizzer provides deep moisturization to skin, making it resilient.

Ingredients:  sodium bicarbonate, anhydrous citric acid, sucrose, alcohol, ferric oxide, chronium oxide greens, hydrated ferric oxide, caramel, parfum  cosDNA.com analysis

Tonymoly Egg Pore Shiny Skin Soap  More eggs!!  I’ve received pore soaps like this in the past, but never the Tonymoly brand.  These are handmade soaps, designed to care for your pores.  The white egg is an exfoliating cleansing soap and it balances your skin’s sebum.  You would use this egg in the morning, massaging into your skin for 2 to 3 minutes and then rinsing well.  The brown egg is a purifying, refining soap that helps close pores and reduces wrinkles.  You use this egg at night, massaging into your skin for 2 to 3 minutes and then letting it sit on your face for 15 minutes, like a facial mask.  Rinse well with warm water.    Some of the ingredients in these eggs are red clay, egg white and coconut oil.  The white egg doesn’t have much of a scent, but the brown egg has a nice melon-y scent to it ~ go figure!   Full Size 50 g x 2 value $14.00

Description: Remove waste from your skin and clean off any excess impurities that collect on your skin throughout the day. Reduce the size of your pores with this sebum reducing and pore shrinking soap for nourished and well-cleansed skin, but also a smooth, clean, pore look as well.  Formulated with egg whites red clay and coconut oil, to extract, shrink and purify those pores while still keeping your skin moisturized.

Main Ingredients: Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Palm Oil, Glycerin, Loess/Yellow Ocher (iron oxides), Egg Whites

Skin79 Olive Repairing Mask   This was the only spoiler that Memebox released and it is a sleeping pack.  It is probably too heavy for me right now but I will save it for next fall/winter, when I can use the more deeply moisturizing sleep packs.  This is made with Olive Leaf and Manuka Honey extracts, avocado oil, Baobab oil, Murumuru oil, as well as Vitamin E, so it is a very moisturizing sleep pack ~ if you have dry skin or damaged skin, this can be used year round.   This was the other really heavy product in the box, so combined with the body wash weight, this box was pretty hefty!    Full Size 75mL Value $17.00

Description: Skin79 Olive Repairing Mask is a nighttime sleeping mask that creates smooth and moist skin. Olive leaf extract and Makuka Honey extract indulge skin with rich nutrients to keep it healthy and prevent dryness.  Natural oils such as avocado and baobab seed oil form a protective moisture-retaining layer that helps to strengthen the skin barrier. Great for all skin types, especially those with dry skin.

Ingredients:  Water (Aqua), Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate,  Cyclopentasiloxane, Olea Europaea (Olive) Leaf Extract, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride,  Sodium Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Honey Extract, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower Extract, Castanea Crenata (Japanese Chestnut) Shell Extract,  Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Extract, Symphytum Officinale (comfrey) Leaf Extract, Adansonia Digitata (baobab) Seed Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Astrocaryum Murumuru Seed Butter, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, dimethicone, isohexadecane, polysorbate 80, Carbomer, Tromethamine, Sodium Hyaluronate, tocopheryl acetate (vitamin E), Sodium Polyacrylate, Copper Tripeptide-1, benzophenone-5, disodium  EDTA, phenoxyethanol, Chlorphenesin, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Yellow No. 5 (CI 19140), Blue No. 1 (CI 42090), Fragrance  cosDNA.com analysis

I happen to like this Easter Mystery box ~ I will use all of the items in it and my only disappointment is that the Skinfood body wash doesn’t smell strongly of grapefruit, which is one of my favorite scents.  I am really happy to get the Mangowhite body mist, Skinfood Soda Bath Fizzers and the Skin79 Olive Sleeping pack, even if it is a bit off season for me.  The Tonymoly eggs are not off season, however, and will be used to help control my oily skin in the warmer months.  I paid  $39.00 including shipping and received a MemeValue**  of $67.50.    ** MemeValue ~ you can certainly find these products cheaper elsewhere.  Always do some comparison shopping.      The days of receiving over a $100.00 value for a $23.00 Memebox are long gone 😦
