This month’s theme is Open Bar 🍾🍷🥂 and wow, yeah!  Flickerbox did get some candles that have a nice boozy scent to them!

Lit and Co Candles “Merlot”    From Boise, Idaho, Lit & Co is a favorite with Flickerbox and I always enjoy getting their candles (plus their name is so great!)  The hand crafted and hand poured soy candles are made with quality ingredients ~ pure fragrance, 100% American grown soy, botanical oils, braided cotton wicks.   They are known for their true to life scents and I will say this, they got it right with this one!  This creamy white candle comes in a golden amber glass jar and wow…. This is one wine smelling candle!  Merlot has the strongest boozy scent out of the 3 candles this month and it is a deep, warm wine scent.  I feel like I need a glass of wine now.  Burn Time: 45 hours  8 oz RV $15.00

Bridge Nine Candles “Mint Julep”  Bridge Nine is also a fan favorite and they are know for their jelly jars with cut-out tin lids ~ in this case, it is a green one for mint!  This candle is made in Portland, OR and is hand poured using all natural ingredients, such as soy, which is 100% sourced from American farmers, 100% cotton braided wicks and pure essential oils.   “Straight from the American South and made popular by the annual Kentucky Derby, this classic adult beverage is the refreshing combination of muddled mint leaves and a hint of sugar!” This does have a strong sweet sugary mint scent and it is very unique ~ I have never had a mint candle with this scent before! Burn Time: 20 hours 4 oz RV $12.00 

 Mint Julep recipe: 1 teaspoon Powdered sugar, 2 oz. Bourbon whiskey, 2 teaspoons Water, 4 Mint leaves, muddle, shake and serve

Copper & Clover “Sweet Bourbon”  And finally, from Copper & Clover, a brand that is rarely seen in Flicker Box ~ in fact, the first and last time I had a candle from them was a year ago ~ a candle that is the least alcohol-y scented one ~ but still really nice.  I can really smell the warm musk and vanilla in here and Copper & Clover say it also has peach and Kentucky bourbon ~ but I cannot pick up those notes.  Maybe they will be more apparent when I burn this candle.  Copper & Clover candles are hand made in San Diego, California and made in small, hand poured batches, using 100% soy.  This creamy colored candle is packing a strong scent  and it in a small glass jar with a bronze colored screw lid.  4 oz  RV $12.00

I really loved this month’s offerings and I am glad that Flicker Box will still do themes like this one along with their vendor spotlight months.  My favorite is Mint Julep and I love the Merlot one ~ I have the feeling, though, my room will smell like the-day-after-a-wild-party when I burn it ~ hahahaha.  It was also good to see Copper & Clover again ~ I really am glad they made another appearance with Flicker Box. This box’s value is $39.00 and I paid $34.00 for my box, as I am on a month to month subscription and I am grandfathered in, so my shipping is included in the price tag.   I always mention this in each review, as I think you should have the proper expectation if you subscribe to Flicker Box.  I never expect to have a huge value placed on it.  Shipping costs for candles is expensive and the products are made by artisans, making their eco-friendly candles with their own scents and hand crafted, it is a great deal.  Also, some months are well over $40.00 in value, so it does even out in the end.
