This does come with an informational pamphlet that tells you what you got and that is helpful, as it is a great starting point for me.   Since I do more research on the interwebs after I read the pamphlet, I don’t bother taking a photo of it, for the most part.

As I am still getting the hang of using various tools to help translate Japanese to English, my translations are still rough with the ingredient list.  If you do not see the cosDNA analysis at the end of the list, then that means I am not 100% sure that I translated this correctly.

Profael Massage Jelly Body Mask  This is such a cool product ~ it contains wormwood and 30 other Japanese botanical herbs and flowers.  This jelly is so sticky and smells just like a pine tree.  It helps transform dull and dry skin into soft and nourished skin.  We put jelly masks on our face, why not our body?  Just take two grape sized amounts of jelly and massage into wet, clean skin ~ this warms up slightly on the skin and feels really nice.  The scent is also very spa like and it is both invigorating and relaxing.  Rinse off after 2 to 3 minutes.   My skin is moisturized without any residue and it does feel softer.  I do really like this jelly a lot!   200 grams RV  $11.38

Browtician Tweezers This was randomly selected from a pointed tip or a slant tip ~ I received the slant tip, so I am really happy!!  This has a holographic zebra stripe design, which is from their Zoo Collection and it is very cute. The tweezers come in its own rectangular mirrored compact, with its own slot built-in the compact, so the tweezers won’t scratch the mirror. 

This is great, because now I can put this in my makeup bag and keep them with me ~ and since it is in a plastic compact, it is easy to find ~ otherwise, I would be digging around looking for a slim tweezer.  Love the concept and design.  The tweezers are made from  titanium-plated Japanese stainless steel and the tips are hand ground for precision.  RV $10.00

Sweets-Sweets Air Moisturizing CC Cream SPF 50+PA++++ in 03 Peach Sweets-Sweets is the sister brand for the popular drugstore cosmetic brand Canmake.  This is a tinted CC cream that will help color correct, conceal pores, moisturize and protect from the sun, as it has SPF 50+ PA++++, with a UVA/UVB protection.  This is a neutral peach shade which is the skin brightener CC choice ~ it comes in 3 shades (light, natural and peach)  and it is quite thick coming out of the tube, which has a pointy tip applicator. 

However, it is easy to spread and apply onto my skin and I can tell that it slightly brightens my skin tone.  This peach shade works for my Mac NW20 skin tone, but if you are paler or darker than me, this is not a good choice.

I don’t think that NMNL should be putting in foundation/tinted products in our boxes. Either NMNL should have a profile where we can select our shades or just don’t put this in the box.  This color does work for me, but I can see how a lot of peeps would be unhappy about this product.   30 grams RV $14.22

Hollywood Orchid Enzyme Mask  This is a DIY wash off mask pack ~ it has two parts, a powder and a cream and you mix it up fresh before application.  This mask has been in production for 50 years and enzymes will help brighten your skin while refining your skin’s texture.  It won 3rd place in the 2016 Cosme Best Skin Care Exfoliating Category.

The powder and cream are mixed right before application to increase the effectiveness of the enzymes and you can use this mask either on your face or your body.  Just open the package up and squeeze the cream packet into the side where the powder is.  Then separate the packet into two parts and stir the mixture until completely blended.  Apply to a clean face and you leave on for

• 3 to 6 minutes for sensitive and/or dry skin
• 7 to 10 minutes for normal and/or oily skin

PureSmile Peelingood Peeling Gel Kit  This is by Puresmile ~ it took some digging to discover that ~ and Puresmile is a brand that I am very familiar with.   This is a mild gommage AHA peeling gel kit that contains papain, a papaya enzyme to exfoliate, remove dead skin and unclog pores, hydrolyzed collagen and lemon fruit extract.  I love that the gel comes in a test tube bottle!  

Description:  Hydrolyzed Collagen protects the skin by giving the skin shine and gloss. Papain formulation – It prepares the skin.  Lemon fruit extract formulation – It tightens the skin and prevents rough skin.

Unlike other peeling gels, this one is applied with a huge swab. Wash and dry your face and then soak one of the oversized black cotton swabs in the gel solution.  Spread the gel all over the face, avoiding your lips and eyes ~ do not re-dip the swab back into the solution once you have used it on your face, as you will contaminate the gel in the tube.  Leave on for a few minutes and then rinse off with warm water.  Finish with a toner or lotion.  for wash and dry your face. soak one of the black cotton swabs in the gel solution. spread gel over face using cotton swab, avoiding lips and eyes. wash off gel with water and finish with a toner  Peeling Gel 15mL 6 Black Swabs  RV $9.87

Final Thoughts

I love this month’s box!!  I think this month’s theme was BRIGHTENING, as there were a lot of brightening skincare items in here. Full of enzyme skincare products with the mask and peeling gel, a fantastic smelling and nourishing body massage gel, great tweezer kit and a brightening CC cream.  The only one that I feel could be a fail for some is the CC cream as it is not a universal shade.  I think my favorite items are the Profael Massage Body Jelly, Hollywood Orchid Mask and the PureSmile Peeling Gel kit.  I sometimes wonder if because I really do research about the products and their claims that I wind up liking my box a lot more if I didn’t do that. I find that sometimes I am underwhelmed by the selections, but as I find these products on Japanese sites, where they give more information and the ingredients, I get really excited about trying them.  Are you like that too? The total retail value is over $50.00, which is about twice the amount I paid for it ~ it has a lesser value than last month’s box, but I love this box a lot more!!  Did you get this month’s box?  What was your favorite items?  I do need to write a blog post about how to use Buyee, a Japanese shipping service.  It is so easy and a lot of these products are only available in Japan, so this could be a way for you to purchase them.  I have used Buyee several times and have been very pleased with it.
