Candelaria in “Pearl” Pearl is a sweet pea blossom scented candle, very light, airy, sweet and feminine. Candelaria Candles is FlickerBox own brand and they have done a great job with their scents and they name their candles after rocks and gems. This is a hand-poured 100% soy derived candle, made with American Grown soy beans in Denver, Colorado. Soy is an eco-friendly and provides a clean burn ~ this candle also has a lead free cotton wick, primed with vegetable based wax and uses only premium grade blended fragrances and essentials with no dyes or chemicals. Sweet Birch Co in “Hydrangea Citron” Sweet Birch is a new brand to Flickerbox and it is a small batch candle business from Spokane, Washington. Using 100% soy wax, sourced from USA farms and hand poured in small batches, they have created a natural recipe that will create a cleaner burn and longer burn time. I love this scent a lot ~ it is floral with lots of sweet citrus ~ the description is “Scented with blooming florals blend beautifully with subtle orange and grapefruit notes to create something truly captivating.” I love the jar as well ~it is a frosted 7 0z glass jar, which makes it look really classy. The candle is infused with orange and grapefruit essential oils, along with their non-toxic specialty fragrance blend to create these wonderful scent. Karma Lit in “Sweet Magnolia” This is one of my favorite candle brands from Flickerbox and this is my favorite scent out of the trio! Now, Sweet Magnolia is an “exclusive” scent to Flickerbox, but I learned that KarmaLit will just rename their candle for FlickerBox! I think this is their RainBoots, because Sweet Magnolia is scented like magnolia with a sweet fruity citrus scent ~ RainBoots is described as “Apple, Orange, and Magnolia! This candle has all your favorite southern notes and will remind you of Spring showers in the South!” And that pretty much describes Sweet Magnolia! KarmaLit handpours their all-natural, eco-friendly and 100% soy wax and all of the materials are biodegradable or recyclable. KarmaLit donates a percentage of each candle sold to education based non profit organizations. This comes in a 4 oz jam jar with a tin lid. I normally am not a fan of most floral scents, but I love the fragrances that Flickerbox choose this month ~ the delicate pea blossom scent, the bold hydrangea with citrus from a new brand, and the lovely magnolia and fruit scents from KarmaLit. I was hard pressed to chose between Sweet Birch and KarmaLit for which scent I liked better, and thankfully, I really don’t need to choose ~ I have both!! This box’s value is $38.00 and I paid $34.00 for my box, as I am on a month to month subscription and I am grandfathered in, so my shipping is included in the price tag. It is lower than what I paid for it, but I have very low expectations with Flickerbox . I always mention this in each review, as I think you should have the proper expectation if you subscribe to FlickerBox. I never expect to have a huge value placed on it. Shipping costs for candles is expensive and the products are made by artisans, making their eco-friendly candles with their own scents and hand crafted, it is a great deal. Also, some months are well over $40.00 in value, so it does even out in the end.
