Amlactin Moisturizing Body Lotion This is made with 12% lactic acid (derived from milk), which is an AHA and will help exfoliate dead skin, leaving smoother and softer skin. It is also supposed to be pH balanced as well. I found this to be very hydrating on my skin. It does a a little bit of a bitter scent, but that goes away quickly. Amlactin is recommended by dermatologists. As this does contain an AHA, please remember to wear sunscreen. 2 oz RV $3.16

Revlon Kiss Balm in Sweet Cherry This is a very cherry smelling lip balm with a sweet taste. It is a sheer pink color that can be built up a bit ~ not a lot, but it is a lip balm, after all. It has SPF 20 for some UV protection and it has natural fruit oils, such as pomegranate, raspberry and grape oils. This comes in other shades as well, like peach, berry and red. Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration Day Lotion (99% natural) I have used this before and I will repeat my original review here ~ This lotion is for dry skin and in the winter time, my skin can get chapped and raw if I am outside shoveling snow. This is when I would use this creamy hydrating lotion, which is, surprisingly enough for a “dry skin” cream, very lightweight. This is lotion will absorb quickly into your skin and contains clary sage, soybean oil and my friend, lactobacillus. It is their best anti-aging daytime moisturizer and has been clinically proven to deliver hydration and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, according to their website. It is dermatologist tested , noncomedogenic, non-greasy and contains “probiotic technology”, which just means that it has fermented ingredients! L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Volume Filler Re-Volumizing Serum and Moisturizing Cream These are just samples and I am a bit surprised at Target ~ they would normally try to give bigger samples than foils. The Revitalift series is supposed to help plump up your skin as they contain hyaluronic acid ~ an intensive moisturizing ingredient which bonds water to keep skin hydrated. It is a natural substance found in the human body and it made up of amino and uronic acids, and helps retain 100 to 1,000 times its own water weight in our skin cells. RV $1.00

eb5 Original Facial Treatment Intense Moisture Anti-Aging Cream I have never heard of eb5, but they have been around for 60 years. This cream is made with soothing and moisturizing oats which will “regulate” your skin’s pH level (?), along with vitamin E, allanotin and comfrey root ~ all 3 will help with celluar growth and healing, pro-vitamin B5, an antioixdiant that combats free radicals and reverses free radical damage and vitamin A, which will reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This is a heavier cream, but it doesn’t feel greasy or tacky on my skin and it is scentless. I am not sure about the regulating pH level thing, hence the ?. Sample Size 1/2 oz RV $3.81

Nexxus Comb Thru Volume Finishing Mist Hairspray I love hairspray and this mini size is great to toss in my backpack. This does have a light floral/powdery scent, but it disappears quickly. It is a light weight spray, so don’t view this as one that will keep your hair in place during a windstorm. Beautiful Nutrition Lemon Rinse Gentle Clarifying Treatment Now, this was another reason that I wanted this box (lip products were the first). I LOVE clarifying treatments for my hair as I use a lot of products ~ mousse, hairspray, leave-in conditioners, hair oil, etc. I need to have a clarifying hair rinse to help remove that buildup. You use this after you shampoo and condition your hair ~ you must condition your hair, as this is not a conditioner. Then apply this all over your hair, leave in for a minute or two and rinse out. First, this smells great ~ very lemony. Second, it does leave my hair cleaner and shiny and I feel that it does do the trick. Mane ’n Tail Shampoo I actually use this to wash my cat!! haha. It is too rich for me, but my older cat suffers sometimes from itchy skin, so I gently bathe him with this product. It seems to work nicely, although HE hates the process (and so do I!) Final Thoughts
Beauty Box #1 had some great lip products and I love the hair rinse! That is one of my favorite items in the box. I do think they went a bit overboard with three different types of facial creams, but they are sample sizes, so I guess no harm done there. I would have liked to see a mud mask in this box to replace one of the facial creams. Target claimed this box was worth over $38.00, but unless sample sizes are really different, I came to $23.75, which I am really okay with as that is over double the $10.00 amount I paid for it.
Beauty Box #2 has one of my favorite products ever ~ Carol’s Daughter Black Vanilla Leave-In Conditioner ~ and really, for me, that was worth the price of the box. Some of the hair care products I cannot use, but that is okay as I knew this going into the purchase of this box. Toothpaste is ALWAYS welcomed ~I was totally floored that we got a full sized toothpaste in this box. I received a value of around $13.00, which is great for a $5.00 box ~ although Target stated this was worth $20.00. And it could be ~ making samples and mini sizes of jars and bottles cannot come cheap!
