BB Cosmetic is an online K-Beauty store that carries a lot of popular brands, but also some unknown brands as well. I have never heard of Double & Zero before and a little research shows that they make a variety of sheet mask “flavors”, some of them quite fun, like their My Sweet Macaron series and Double Care Solution series, which comes with a roller for your face! They also have a Coffee series, of which there are three types ~ Cappuccino Chiffon Ampoule Mask (brightening), Iced Americano Cooling Ampoule Mask (moisturizing/cooling) and Espresso Revital Ampoule Mask (Anti-Aging).

According a very rough translation that I did on Double & Zero’s Korean site, this is what I gleaned from this mask:
This contains an espresso concentrated ampoule for strengthening elasticity, anti-aging, moisturizing and lift care. It uses premium 1,000 ppm Arabic coffee from Ethiopia and coffee contains powerful antioxidants that are more powerful than Vitamin C and E. From the USDA and National Aging Research Institute (NIH), they did a comparison of ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity) and the coffee bean has 625 times more effective than blueberry extracts and 90 times more than acai berries.

This contains seven kinds of natural polyphenol extracts, which are anti-aging and anti-oxidants compounds: Coffee Seed, Grape, Cocoa, Apple, Coconut and Wine extracts. Grape and wine extracts not only contain polyphenol, but resveratrol and tannin. It also contains three types of anti-aging peptides, to help with skin elasticity

Performance
The packaging is really delicious looking ~ every time I look at the coffee bean just dripping its goodness into the espresso cup, I feel like I have to run out to my nearest Starbucks! The first thing I notice when I open up the mask package is the scent ~ wow ~ this smells just like coffee liqueur ~ it has that same boozy, sweet scented coffee scent.
The mask is dripping in a thick essence, which makes the mask have a semi-gelatinous feel to it. There is enough of this essence ~ which is not jelly like, just thick ~ left in the package, so I just spread it on my neck and décolletage area.
The mask fits very well on my face ~ and it feels soft, adheres nicely. It isn’t too thin, but since it is such a wet mask, I think it needs to be ~ otherwise, it might tear or stretch out of shape while placing it on my face. While I am wearing this, it has a cooling and refreshing effect on my face. I accidentally tasted the essence ~ how does one do that? by drinking a glass of water and then licking my lips, which licked the mask ~ and while it does have a sweet coffee taste, it isn’t something I would drink!
I was able to leave this on for about an hour, because that mask is so wet! This is a night time mask for me, due to the slight stickiness of the essence on my face after I remove it. However, I did notice immediately that my face was very moist and hydrated with a nice glow. The next day, my face looks so plumped up and soft, without any dryness or redness. Did I mention this mask is also soothing as well?
Final Thoughts
Color me impressed with Double & Zero! I really enjoy using this mask and I am glad I have a whole box to try ~ I’ve already used 5 of them. I found that that this mask hit all of the important points for me ~ fit and feel of the mask sheet, scent, longevity, essence ingredients and results. I have used coffee ingredients before, but this is the first time for me that I have a sheet mask whose main ingredient is coffee. This is an anti-aging mask, but I would think if you have dry skin or you just want a deep and intensely moisturizing mask now and then, this one is great. I would love this essence as a separate skincare item as it is so wonderfully moisturizing ~ it is almost like I used a facial oil, but I didn’t! I don’t know if this is a new brand or not, but I am surprised that there aren’t more reviews on Double & Zero products. Especially with those masks with a roller ~ which I did purchase a couple boxes. Have you tried any D&Z masks yet? What flavor and what did you think of it?
