Fall 2016 BuddhiBox Jewelry Box
This quarter’s box featured a couple of favorite vendors. a variety of vendors and my items came in a box this time, with a smaller jewelry pouch for a couple of items.
This quarter’s box jewelry is exclusively made for BuddhiBox from Hot Chakras Yoga.
Agate Stone and Charm Mala Bracelet These faceted beads has a grayish-blue color and at first, I thought it was labradorite as it has a similar look. This is a beautiful color and it allows us to open up our ajna (third-eye) chakra, aiding in awareness and imagination. This also has a lovely Bodhi leaf charm ~ this is random, as you could received a Om symbol. I love the gold-toned leaf against the cool tones of the grey stones RV $28.00
Mala are an ancient tool to help focus when you meditate and pray. This is a symbol of the never ending cycle, and each bead is a Sanskrit prayer or mantra in sets. You move the beads in rhythm with your breathing and it will help you center and quiet your mind, focusing on the mantra. Mala beads can be used regardless of your religious beliefs as a mediation tool and will help you relax and calm your mind, body and spirit.
Bodhi Leaf is a symbol of Buddha’s enlightenment, a symbol of peace and the potential that lies within all of us. Buddha was sitting under a tree at the time of his enlightenment, so the Bodhi Tree has now become known as “being awake, enlightened, supreme knowledge”. These trees are found in Buddists centers globally.
Agate Stone Mala Bracelet Another Mala bracelet, feature a bright turquoise-green faceted agate stones and it works well paired with the gray-blue bracelet. There is gold toned faceted bead as an accent which a lovely pop of sparkle Agate soothes and calms, bringing inner strength, self acceptance and self confidence, while helping you release negativity from your life RV $28.00
Agate Primary Chakra ~ Heart Chakra Secondary Chakra ~ Crown Chakra A soothing and calming stone which works slowly to bring inner strength, self-acceptance and self-confidence. Agate encourages you to stop worrying and to release negativity from your life. Hot Chakas Yoga
Suede Cord Necklace with Tree of Life Charm and Tassel This is so pretty ~ it is delicate looking, but actually has a nice presence, due to the aqua turquoise and gold cotton tassel that adds 3 inches to the piece and the beautiful gold-toned Tree of Life charm, which is about 1/2 inch in diameter. This also has a nice golden bead near the pendants and hangs from a 26 inch dove gray suede cord that is adjustable in length by sliding another golden-tone bead to adjust the length. Once again, the cool colors of aqua and grey work nicely against the golden tones of the charms. All three jewelry items work beautifully together and if you love the look of Hot Chakras Yoga designs, you can save 20% off at their store using promo code KARMA. I am going to use it because they have matching earrings to this tassel necklace! RV $25.00
Tree of Life “You are a child of the Universe… You have the right to exist.. You have the responsibility to grow to be yourself… The meaning of the Tree of Life as a spiritual symbol is well known and, like the tree itself, many branched and deeply rooted. Here, the Tree of Life meaning tells us that although we are rooted in the Earth plane, we are reaching for the Spiritual Realms. Here we are each alone… there we are one.” From (and learn more at) Old Earth
Butterfly Scarf I saw this on Buddibox’s Instagram account and was hoping that I would get this one! I didn’t know if the scarves were variations and this scarf is beautiful ~ it has an ombré background in greys ~ from deep charcoal grey (almost black) and then up to a lighter grey. Printed in a mandala pattern are butterflies, mandalas and paisley designs in shades of rose pink, turquoise and white. This huge scarf measure about 72 x 38 inches and it is so soft and is made with a viscose material RV $25.00
Stinky Yogi Natural Perfume I have NO CLUE what scent this is!! haha. This is an item that was not included in our info card, but Stinky Yogi is a favorite of Buddhibox and is one of my favs too! I own several of their oils and they blend some beautiful fragrances together. This is kinda cool as the oils are suspended in a base, so it moves around like a lava lamp. Just remember to shake well before using, so you mix the oils up. I think, but am not positive, that this is Amrita, which has oils of sandalwood, ylang ylang, tuberose, citrus, and vanilla. However, I could be wrong and I did email both Buddhibox and Stinky Yogi to find out 🙂 Travel Eau de Parfum Atomizer RV $30.00
Update: I was this close! Stinky Yogi messaged me back and let me know that this perfume is a custom blend for Buddhibox and it is very similar to Amrita and Harvest Vintage ~ which has a sweet amber vanilla base, spices of nutmeg, cinnamon and ginger. Geranium, lavender and neroli are the middle notes.
I love the curation of this quarters box. It seems that the colors with the jewelry and accessories are around transition, as there are bright cool toned colors (summer) pairing nicely with the cooler, more muted shades (winter). I really love all of the items ~ the perfume is lovely, the scarf is just stunning and the jewelry just complements one another so nicely. BuddhiBox is more expensive, but it only ships out 4 times a year plus they feature different artisans each quarter and it breaks down to under $17.00 a month for such enjoyable, handcrafted artisan jewelry and accessories. I did pay $49.00 for my box, and I received a value of $136.00 for handcrafted, spiritual pieces that I just really enjoy wearing.
The BuddhiBox Fall Jewelry Box is still available for sale, so if you love what you see here, I totally recommend purchasing this box.
