I saw the preview of The Face Shop X Disney Collaboration over a month ago on Instagram and they had three lines of Disney/Pixar products
- Winnie the Pooh ~ includes CC Cushion, eye shadow palette in pink/browns, nail polish and nail stickers
- Mickey Mouse ~ this line has the most items ~ BB Cushion, eye/lip palette in browns/reds, lippies, eyeliners, mascara, hand cream, hand soap
- Mike from Monsters, Inc ~ includes CC Cushion and eye shadow palette in orange/browns

I didn’t care about Winnie or Mickey (if they had Tigger, Eeyore or Mickey from Fantasia, I would have been interested in those lines), but Mike Wazowski !!???!!! I am in. I love that green ball. As an added bonus, the CC cushion for the Mike line is oil control.
The Mike collection includes a CC Long Lasting cushion and an eye shadow palette. They come nicely boxed in what looks to be a recycled cardboard and a great Mike graphic on the box. The eye shadow case is a bright lime green with a happy Mike printed on the top ~ I find that this case is pretty sturdy. It has a full mirror on the top and a stupid foam applicator that is useless.
X Disney Mono Pop Eyes Shadow Palette has 8 shadows, 3 matte shades, 3 really glittery shades, 1 not-as-glittery and one satin. These colors are in the orange-brown family. The plastic protector cover is TOO much ~ it has little green Mike foot prints…
- Nude ~ Matte
- Tangerine ~ Matte
- Peach ~ Glitter
- Champagne ~ Glitter
- Orange ~ Glitter
- Cocoa ~ Satin/Glitter
- Milk Chocolate ~ Matte
- Bittersweet Chocolate ~ Satin
You can see that the first two shades are really light and not very pigmented. The 3 glitter shades are very glittery and have quite a bit of fall out ~ the orange glitter is the most pigmented of the three glitters. The best colors are the last three ~ from the shimmery cocoa brown, matte chocolate milk and deep dark bittersweet chocolate satin, these have the most pigmentation, very easy to work with and no fall out. This isn’t a bad palette considering it is Korean eyeshadow ~ I am not a huge fan of K-Eyeshadow as I find it too light and tons of fall out. However, I do like the colors and I will just wear eye shadow primer to make sure it lasts longer. I guess I am very Western when it comes to my makeup and I like more dramatic eye shadow colors. This palette is about $24.00 USD.
CC Long Lasting Cushion ~ Mike This has to be the most detailed and 3 dimensional makeup case I have ever seen. This isn’t a printed decal stuck on a lime green case ~ this is molded with height and depth make Mike’s “Oh no” face. The eyeball, ears and teeth are part of the face, they aren’t separate items ~ I had thought they were initially as that is how well they painted the pieces. There isn’t any sloppy color-out-of-the-lines here. The face has a glossy finish and the rest of the lid is a slightly textured matte finish. The rest of the case smooth matte lime green. Just amazing detail. I am blown away here. I guess the other two cushion compacts in the Disney line are just as detailed and are also 3D.
The compact is very sturdy and snaps shut with a satisfying click ~ and it even comes with a puff that has been decorated with green eyeballs! Whoever did the design work on this compact really did a fabulous job!
So, back to the actual product ~ this is an oil control, long lasting CC cushion and will help cover pores and is soothing to your skin. It has SPF 50+ PA+++ protection, which everyone should be adding some type of sunscreen on their face to protect their skin from the sun. It is also an anti-wrinkle and brightening product, as it is a CC cream.
It only comes in two shades: V201: Apricot Beige and V203: Natural Beige. I purchased V203, as I know that Korean CC/BB cushions are just light and lighter and I am medium toned. I wear Mac NW20 and Jouer Matte Moisturizing Tint in Nude for a comparison. I just did a review on TFS My Other Bag CC cushion and I was pretty happy with V203 ~ it was a little light, but it was fine on my skin tone. And since both of these products are made by The Face Shop, the shades should be the same, right? Right?
I don’t know if you can tell by my photo, but they are not the same shade. My Other Bag is brighter, where as Mike is darker and has more yellow in it. Now, on my arm, it isn’t that bad, but my arm is not my face. Oh jeez, the dreaded selfie is coming up. I hope I don’t scare too many of you! On the left, my freshly washed and prep’d with skincare face ~ ruddy around my T-Zone. You can see that my cheeks and forehead are more warm with hyper pigmentation.
On the right is with one application of Long Lasting CC Cushion. I find that this shade is a bit too yellow for my skin tone and it really shows on my cheeks and forehead. What else am I wearing in that photo? On my brows, Berrison Oops! Dual Tint Brow in 01 Dark Brown, Clinique High Impact Extreme Volume Mascara and Pony Effect Stay Fit Matte Lip Color in On Fleek on my lips.
Outside of the shade, which I feel really was not a good fit for me, I didn’t find this covered that well ~ perhaps it was because I only did 1 application and got scared to try two, as I didn’t want to turn yellow. I didn’t think its application was as silky smooth as My Other Bag CC cushion, but it wasn’t an issue to apply and it wasn’t sticky ~ but again, I have to compare it with My Other Bag ~ I didn’t find it to be as mattifying as that formula. It wasn’t dewy, that is for sure, but my oil was breaking thru within an hour after the application. This has an sweat and oil resistant formula which will help with shine. It is also formulated with powder particles of different sizes, which will help smooth and fill in pores, bumps and other skin imperfections. I didn’t find that it really helped with my oil and I did feel that it didn’t help smooth out my pores, as I could still see a lot of imperfections on my chin ~ then again, I only applied one coat, so maybe I needed another one.
I do know that when I wore this, people at my job thought I was ill, so this must have turned into a shade that disagreed with me ~ ahaha. That is how much a slight difference in shading will affect how you look. I think I should have purchased this in V201, Apricot Beige, but I also fear that might be too light for me. This shade was just a bit too yellow for my skin tone, which is a shame as I liked V203 shade in My Other Bag. This compact cushion is around $20 to $25.00
Ingredients of Note
I was shocked to see rose extract in here, but thankfully it was one of the last ingredients in the list. I am so not using this again anyway, but I didn’t have any adverse reaction to this product
This formula includes the ingredient Biosaccharide Gum-1, which is a natural moisturizing factor ingredient. It is derived from fermentation and will help make your skin look healthy while creating a moisture barrier.
Titanium dioxide and phenylbenzimidazole sulfonic acid provide the UVA and UVB protection and the light, non greasy finish is due to phenylbenzimidazole sulfonic acid. Niacinamide is a skin brightener and yeast derived adenosine provides anti-inflammatory benefits.
Hyaluronic acid will attract and bind moisture to your skin, whereas ceramides will repair and protect your moisture barrier, retain moisture and is a great anti-aging ingredient ~ this also has some amino acid proteins as well ~ peptides to help with anti-aging, plumping up your skin to also reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
This also has some moisturizing oils with sweet almond and calendula. Borago oil contains the essential fatty acid of gamma linolenic acid and will bring back smoothness, tone and elasticity of skin, while acting as an anti-septic to heal acne. Additionally, there are soothing and anti-inflammatory oils with chamomile and rose, along with the astringent, healing and anti-bacterial oils of rosemary and lavender.

Final Thoughts
So, to be quite honest, I didn’t purchase these items for the product ~ but the packaging. If the product worked out, that was a bonus for me. However, most people would want to use the makeup and not just have it as a keepsake, so I thought it was important to review these honestly as I can. I don’t understand why The Face Shop has a color shade and it is not consistent among the different products. Not everyone has a local K-Beauty store they can go to at lunch time and swatch these shades, so I have to go by photos on the ‘net and so many bloggers do not even tell you want other shades they use ~ so I can compare and say, well if they wear NC30, I know this shade isn’t for me. It really is a gamble for foundation shades. I am thrilled with the packaging however!! I think this Disney Collection with The Face Shop is really amazing in terms of design and I am very happy I got the compact. The eye shadows I can work with and I will use them, but the compact will just be emptied out and stored away with my toy collection.
So, have you tried The Face Shop Disney Collection yet? Or want to? What items are on your list?
