Winter/Spring 2016 BuddhiBox Jewelry Box
I do get confused about the quarters ~ they seem to be in transitional months for the seasons, so I will call the February box Winter/Spring. This quarter’s box is exclusively made for BuddhiBox from Hot Chakras Yoga.
My items came in a large jewelry pouch, with BuddiBox’s logo, and the inscription of “Discovery, Union, Compassion“. The jewelry items feature the stone Howlite.
Howlite has an extremely calming energy and can be used to relieve anxiety, tension and intense emotions. It is said to be able to calm the mind and help you to relax in preparation for sleep or meditation. If you suffer from insomnia, caused by racing thoughts at bedtime, a piece of howlite placed under your pillow or around your bed may help. from Hot Chakras Yoga
White Howlite Valentine’s Day Mala with Red Tassel This is a lovely hand-knotted, white howlite beaded mala with antique gold-toned spacers, measuring 30 inches in length. It has 108 beads total and the bright red, hand-cut tassel is adds an additional 3 inches to the length of this necklace and has a lovely antique gold-tone guru bead, tied with gold thread accents. This is so festive and perfect for Valentine’s Day and I believe this is the first time I have a mala made with Howlite beads. RV $55.00
Red Howlite Valentine’s Day Bracelet with Buddha Charm This 7 inch stretchy bracelet features red howlite 6mm beads with an antique gold-tone spacer and bead, with a brass Buddha charm. It really complements the necklace very well ~ the red stones work with the red tassel in the mala and they both have gold toned accents. This bracelet is a bit on the tight side for my wrist, but Hot Chakras Yoga will restring it for me!! I reached out to them about this and they are happy to do so. I love customer service like this! RV $23.00
The Buddha meaning the ‘awakened’ or ‘enlightened one’ represents peace and freedom from suffering, encourages us to end the life, death, rebirth cycle by realizing the latent potential, invincible power and true nature of the human heart and mind in attaining the highest knowledge and supreme Enlightenment. Buddha taught the noble ideal of selfless service, compassion and loving kindness and to aspire to perfection, attaining spiritual awakening and by our own efforts, reach the eternal bliss of Nirvana. Buddhism has a deep and ancient talismanic tradition and charms of the Buddha are worn for protection and to assist on the path of Enlightenment or Buddhahood. From Heart Mala
Deep Purple Luxe Scarf This is a beautiful purple scarf with white paisley and floral print. It measures about 74 inches by 38 inches (it is HUGE!) and is very soft. Made from 100% Viscose, it is lightweight enough to wear all year round ~ double up for a thicker scarf, wear as a shawl in the warmer months. I really love this shade and print. Plus I am a scarf fiend too! Buddhi Box has this retailing at $24.00, but Hot Chakras sells it for $30.00, so .. RV $30.00

This is a really festive box this quarter! I love the Valentine’s Jewelry ~ and they also will be great in the summertime as well. The scarf is totally unexpected for a jewelry box and I love the deep purple color. The print is just so pretty, especially the border. BuddhiBox is more expensive, but it only ships out 4 times a year plus they feature different artisans each quarter and it breaks down to under $17.00 a month for such enjoyable, handcrafted artisan jewelry and accessories. I did pay $49.00 for my box, and I received a value of almost $108.00!!
The BuddhiBox Winter/Spring Jewelry Box is still available for sale, so if you love what you see here, I totally recommend purchasing this box.

Great review! I have been deciding about this box. I guess for me it is the whole I get so many pick and choose type of thing. But it looks like a great way to wear and have reminders to hold your zen. An aside, If I was a Victorian I would have blushed at the sight of your wrist! 😉 Can you imagine what they would think about today’s culture? lol
