Wow, so busy lately with Turkey Day coming up!! Today’s Sunday Beauty Zen is a bit different. I haven’t tried these yet, as I just got them, but I though that the design was so pretty that it deserved to have a Zen post. And yes, I did just purchase these for the packaging and herb description! Call me shallow 😉
Take photos of your “Beauty Zen” and post on your social media sites ~ use hashtag #unboxingbeautyzen so we can all see the Zenful products you love!
My Sunday Beauty Zen for 11.22.2015
Too Cool For School Aroma Garden Mask Set This set of masks came in a wonderful presentation box that folded over to house all of the masks. There are 2 masks each of each type and the botanical prints are so pretty that.I.had.to.buy. The descriptions about the masks in the “booklet” are pretty, err, unique. These masks are made from Tencel, a wood pulp and they basically contain the same ingredient list except for the two featured ingredients.
Happy & Moisturizing Mask with Mandarin & Neroli
So, the description is very cute, very fantasy story-like
A long, long time ago, on a lost island, somewhere between Fiji and Scotland, lived th magical Mandarine Elf. Smelling strongly of Rosewood and Orange Blossom, the elf attracted a beautiful family of butterflies which followed her everywhere, singing glorious tiny tunes with their tiny, glorious voices. Every morning, afternoon and evening, the Mandarine Elf worked happily on the side of a volcano, farming bubbles for the butterflies to sleep in. The butterflies slept in bubbles because they believed it was good for their voices. And their voices were so beautiful, that it seemed as though this was true. At least the Mandarine Elf thought so, since she dedicated her whole life to bubble farming

Refreshing & Pore Care with Spearmint & Lemon Verbena
The description on this mask sounds, err, very personal to someone. Perhaps the writer was having a really crappy day! This isn’t very refreshing ~ I was expecting another story about an elf, perhaps a water nymph or something ~ instead, a jilted lover ~ ahaha
A summer frolic in the fields with best friends. An evening by the lake in the late afternoon, sipping iced tea listening to the wind pass through the trees. Almost perfect, natural silence. A duck flaps by, quacking an urgent message, but who cares, you don’t understand duck language. You are buy worrying about your student loans.. I mean you are completely relaxed, totally unbothered by anything, in love with the whole world, leaving not a single thing unloved. Except that girl who ignored you last Friday.. No, no, even loving her in all her beauty and flaws. Her many, many flaws. If only she smelled more like Lemon Verbena and Spearmint… That would help, maybe
Ingredients: water, glycerin, butylene glycol, PEG-32, PEG/PPG-17/6 copolymer, panthenol, mentha viridis (spearmint) extract, lippia citriodora leaf extract, sodium hyaluronate, PEG-60 hydrogenated castor oil, allantoin, betaine, glycereth-26, acrylates/C10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, arginine, xanthan gum, disodium EDTA, dipotassium glycyrrhizate, phenoxyethanol, ethylhexylglycerin, fragrance cosDNA.com analysis
Relaxing & Soothing with Sandalwood & Clarisage
Must have been the same disgruntled TCFS employee who wrote this description too. Wow, totally touchy person!! I guess writing these descriptions were cheaper than some therapy ~:D Also must be a Dr Who fan.. I love Mariachi bands, btw.
Like an aromatic transportation through time and space, this mask of healing herbal Sage, Sandalwood and Lavender takes you back to your favorite moment of relaxation. It of course removes that annoying Mariachi band that wouldn’t give you a moment to talk with your loved ones over dinner. It will omit that bone you didn’t see in the fish dinner, the one that scratched the inside of your mouth and nearly ruined your appetite for the rest of the vacation. It will only soothe you the way you want to be soothe. Worry not, for the ocean tide will not rise and spoil that almost perfect night. The ocean tide will be controlled by this mask. Your experience will be just as you wanted. Smooth, full of wonder and completely affordable.
Ingredients: water, glycerin, butylene glycol, PEG-32, PEG/PPG-17/6 copolymer, panthenol, santalum album (sandlewood) extract, salvia sclarea (clary) extract, sodium hyaluronate, PEG-60 hydrogenated castor oil, allantoin, betaine, glycereth-26, acrylates/C10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, arginine, xanthan gum, disodium EDTA, dipotassium glycyrrhizate, phenoxyethanol, ethylhexylglycerin, fragrance cosDNA.com analysis
I do plan to use this as soon as I finish up with some other masks that I am reviewing and will post the reviews once I finish all three. Have you tried any of my Zen-Featured products? What do you think of them ~ please let me know in the comments below 🙂
Hauls
Not so much as a haul as I got sponsored by Jolse.com and I was given the chance to pick 3 products from their website to review for you!
Beauty Routines
I did a series of IG for Oily/Acne-prone skin and thought it might be of interest to my blog readers
I had so many products in the above photo, that I couldn’t include all of them in the initial opening description
Centella Blemish Cream ~ this gentle treatment cream has a matte finish and will turn colorless when massaged in your skin. I use this mainly at night, sometimes during the day. It really helps my skin in reducing those closed comedones (whiteheads)
Houttuynia Cordata Ferment Cream ~ similar to cosRX, this was my first such cream to use and I use it regularly at night. This is more of a shiny cream, which is why I don’t use it during the day, but it does also help reduce whiteheads and get them before they become problem children. jolse sent me the serum recently and I will be testing that out as well as reviewing it!
These are the products that work for me when dealing with acne and oily skin. I’ve tried LJH essence and whereas it didn’t do anything bad for my skin, it didn’t do anything …period.. for my skin. Why post this? Because next week, I should have the results of my 6 week Chica Y Chico product review live and one of the items was for blemishes and oily skin. Epic failure. So, I had to go back to these products to help combat my oily, aging but acne prone skin! What products work for you?
Beauty Hack
All those lovely little (and expensive) concentrate samples I’ve been getting ~ how to stretch them out…
If you are interested in Rice Force, I did write a review on some of their products here and I have a special promo on their travel kit which expires at the end of this month.

Lovely packaging, and I’m a total sucker for that kind of “story telling” in a product. Hopefully the masks live up to their imagery 🙂
