InstaReview It’s Skin Todak Todak Egg & Apple Pore Pack + Guilty Pleasures….

I purchased this Todak product a while ago when Memebox used to offer it on their site, along with the Honey & Coconut Mask ~ that will be another InstaReview blog post soon.  I have lots of products, as you might imagine, and sometimes I just try a product and I want to quickly give the good, the bad and the ugly impressions of a product, without going into a long, drawn out testing period.   I’ve used this item a few times now, so I have  a good feel about the product.   I will also add a guilty pleasure skincare product ~ if I can ‘fess up to them!!

InstaReview

I keep calling this my Talk-Talk pack 😉

This is a smooth mint green colored wash off mask pack that has some clay ingredients (kaolin, bentonite, Moraccan lava clay) to help absorb oils, clean out your pores and detox your skin.  It contains apple extracts, full of antioxidants and will hydrate and brighten your skin tone.  Egg (albumen) which helps reduce the appearance of your pores, reduce oil and reduce fine lines and wrinkles, as it high in collagen, 69 different proteins and vitamin A .  It also is loaded with glycerin to moisture and allantoin, which is an anti-inflammatory and helps soothe any skin irritations.    It has a refreshingly light apple scent, not heavy and is a very smooth and creamy mask pack.

It never quite dries completely on your skin within the 10 ~ 15 minutes it is on your skin ~ unless you have thinly, and I mean, thinly, applied it.   It should still be moist to the touch, which is actually good.  If you leave your clay masks on too long, they will start to suck out moisture from your face and actually cause irritation.  I like this little mask pack that smells like apples and has the benefits of a creamy clay mask.     If you have this product hanging around your home, you should give it a try!

Guilty Pleasures

Ohhh, before I had pH strips.  Sigh.  Well, I still love these two cleansers and they haven’t caused my face to fall off

Missha Fermented Citron (Yuzu) Cleasner  pH Level 8  Ahhh, I used this quite a bit last year and LOVED it.  So much so, that every time I made a purchase at MisshaUSA, I would toss one of these into my basket.  I also love the Aloe as well, and I am SURE it is the same pH level.   I have oily skin, not really sensitive ~ sure there are some ingredients that might make my face turn red (pumpkin enzymes, I am looking at you) but that lasts for a few minutes.   Unless I am allergic to the ingredients or there are some high octane oily ingredients in a product, I don’t normally have an issue  with cleansing products.   I do love this lightly citrus scented fermented foamy pH-death cleanser.   I will still use it.  Until my face falls off.  I went with 8, because in RL, my strip did show a major difference between 8 and 9 that doesn’t show up that well in the photo.

This is made with 2,550 mg of 100% fermented plant complex (Taraxacum Officinale (dandelion), Cirsium/Chrysanthemum Morifolium Flower, Pueraria Thunbergiana (kudzu) Root, Portulaca Oleracea, Morus Alba (mulberry) Leaf, Artemisia Vulgaris (mugwort), Phragmites Communis, Actinidia Arguta (hardy kiwi) Juice, Crataegus Oxycantha(hawthorn)) and has 450 mg of fermented citron extract.    This never made my face feel dry or stripped, but just clean ~ and I lvoe the scent.  Lots of fermented goodies in this one.  And pretty damn cheap as well ~ 150 mL for $5.00 at misshausa.com     I am not a huge fan of Missha products for the most part, but this cleanser is a staple in my routine.  Time to purchase more.

Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Scrub Foam  pH Level 10 Innisfree…WHY OH WHY??  This pore scrub foaming cleanser made it to my favorite products and I STILL LUVS IT.   I even purchased them at Innisfree’s Buy 1 Get 1 Free sale last week and it is currently $5.00, due to a major sale that is continuing at Innisfree.   I guess I will cut this product some slack as it is really a foaming exfoliator, so I don’t use it daily, just one or two times a week.  But yeah.  MAJOR guilty pleasure here.

This one is not for all skin types, but for oily and combo-to-oily skin types. It foams up like a cleanser, but has gentle exfoliating granules to help clean out my pores and remove dead skin cells. It does not have a strong scent and a little goes a long way with this product. The granules are not harsh and are effective in deep cleaning your skin. My face feels very clean and refreshed after using this product, and not dry at all. That said, do not get this product in your eyes or you will be in a world of hurt. I accidentally got some in my eyes and for an hour afterwards, I looked like I had been crying for days. This contains Jeju scoria (volcanic ash) and a potpourri of botanical goodies ~ green tea, tangerine, prickly pear, orchid, camellia, cocoa and corn.
