Memebox Missha Box Unboxing!

I waffled on getting this box.  I have mixed feelings about Missha products ~ some of their products are really great and others, like their Pure Source Facial masks, are just horrible to me.   I really wasn’t sure if I wanted a box full of Missha facial skincare items also, as I have tried some of their lines and the only one that I really love for facial skincare is the Aqua line. When I saw the spoiler for this box, I did purchase it ~ as the spoiler was from the Aqua line!  I also purchased this box during a special, which I was not aware of until I received my box with a special extra 🙂

I have a whole section in my blog,  devoted to Memebox, so if you want to know more, check out the Memebox category.  If you are new to Memebox, you use my referral link here and get 20% off your first order of $25.00 or more!

Missha Box

It’s the inside that counts. Missha is a big player in the Korean cosmetics industry, and they’ve been a part of Memebox for as long as we can remember!  Using state-of-the-art technology, this box proves that point exactly with products that will have you saying “Ooh and Ahhh”.

Informational Card

Missha Super Aqua Double Enzyme Oxygen Mask  This was the spoiler from Memebox and I really wanted to try this.  This is an “oxygen mask”, which will remove dead skin cells, debris, oil and other impurities.  It will also purify as it contains two types of enzymes and an “O2 Carrier Complex” which will re-vitalize your skin. This is a creamy, fresh scented (nothing powerful or anything, it just smells clean) mask and you can see the blue and yellow capsules that contain yeast enzymes/vitamins in one and AHA with papain (papaya) enzyme which will protect your skin and brighten, detox while unclogging pores.   This contains nature pure water, grape fruit water, Chinese plum water,  hinoki cypress water, carrot water and rice bran water, which will help reduce and relieve any skin irritation.

I did use this mask and it doesn’t bubble up, like the card states.  Actually, there might be bubbles in the jar, but that is natural and normal, according to Missha.  It is a creamy mask that you are to massage on your clean, dry face, avoiding eye and lip areas.  You will massage until the blue and yellow enzyme capsules are completely absorbed.  Leave on for 3 to 5 minutes and then rinse off with warm water.  My face felt really clean and refreshed!    Full Size 70 g Value $20.00

Missha Procure Sebum Control Scalf & Hair Pack  Scalf?  ahaha  I think this is just a play on the word scalp, because they couldn’t have really typo’d that word, right?   Anyway, I am SO excited about this product!  I usually shun hair and body boxes because the hair products are usually for dry, thick, coarse hair.  I have fine, oily, straight hair.   This is a conditioning treatment to help with controlling the oil in your scalp to prevent itching and dandruff (I don’t have dandruff, but my scalp is oily).  It will also protect your hair, keeping it soft, moisturized, static-free and tangle-free.  And lastly, the ingredients of ginger, bamboo and ceramide will be absorbed in your scalp after massing for 3 minutes and locking in moisture.   I used this conditioning treatment this morning and it has a fresh scent and my hair felt really nice and soft.  I don’t know if I am supposed to use it daily, but it looks like it could be a daily treatment instead of a conditioner ~ it is a lightweight, creamy product.   There seems to be 2 other types of “Scalf & Hair” Packs that Missha creates and I am gobsmacked that Memebox put one in for OILY hair!!  Yeah!  Full Size 300 mL Value $19.00

Ingredients:  Purified water, stearyl alcohol, glycerol, sorbitol, Steartrimonium Chloride, Behentrimonium Chloride, cetyl alcohol, erythritol, Caprylyl Glycol, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Extract, Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Root Extract, Phyllostachys Reticulata (Giant timber bamboo) Extract, Hydroxypropyltrimonium Hydrolyzed Silk, panthenol, Caprylhydroxamic Acid,  Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, lecithin, tocopheryl acetate, Phenyl Trimethicone,  keratin, cholesterol, ceramide 3, menthol, Dimethicone, Hydroxyethylcellulose,  citric acid, Chlorphenesin, fragrance analysis

Missha Bordeaux Absolute Body Scrub  I love body scrubs and this is a 25% natural salt with grape seed, sweet almond and jojoba oils scrub.  You can see the salt granules and the grape seeds in the scrub itself and it has a light grapey-wine scent.    This is full of nutrients and antioxidants from the oils and wine extracts and minerals from the natural salt, leaving your skin feeling very hydrated, smooth and exfoliated.   I found this to be a very gentle scrub and not at all harsh on the body.  Full Size 150 g Value $14.00

Ingredients: Sodium chloride (25%), glycerin, PEG-8, PEG-32, PEG-150, Dimethicone, Polysorbate 20, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Powder, Wine extract, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, tocopheryl acetate, BHT, methylparaben , propylparaben, fragrance analysis

Missha Procure Extra Volume Hair Serum   This box now contains a hair serum for us ladies who want to add some volume to our hair!  That’s me!   This serum has a trademarked ingredient called Hair Filler (HF) Complex™  ~ a nano lipsomed complex of astaxanthin, CoEnzyme Q10, Red Wine and MEA (Methy Eicosanoic Acid) ~  and that will protect damaged hair due to perms, coloring and  sunlight, which is of interest to me, as I do color my hair.  It also contains phyto keratin, extracted from soy beans, which will strengthen your hair cuticles and will help stimulate the collagen and elastic production.   Tocophenol made from soybeans will help condition the hair as well.    This is a a lightweight cream that is white in color but once I apply it to my hair, it leaves no trace of color behind.  It does not have a scent to it and my hair is not greasy or dirty looking.  I haven’t noticed any “volume”, but my hair does look really nice!    Apply this product to your hair after it is washed and slightly damp (towel dry) and use 1 to 2 pumps and massage into your hair.   Full Size 100 mL Value $11.00

Missha In Shower Comfort Hair Removal Cream for Sensitive Skin  This is like Nair ~ it is a cream that you apply to your skin, wait 90 seconds before gently sponging off.  You might need to leave on a little bit longer, depending on how thick and coarse the hair is, but NO MORE than 3 minutes!!  Rinse thoroughly  with warm water.  The little sponge is included in this kit.  It is supposed to be for sensitive skin with a fresh scent and I can use this in the shower.  I am going to try this over the weekend, as during the summer, I do want to have smoother and conditioned legs, so if this doesn’t irrirate my skin, I can cut down on the daily shaving.   This has some ingredients that are to prevent irritation, protect your skin and to soothe ~ licorice extract, aloe vera gel, avocado oil, inula britannica flower extract, and jojoba oil.    Full Size 100 g Value $13.00

Ingredients: purified water, urea, mineral oil, cetearyl alcohol, Thioglycolic Acid, Isopropyl Palmitate, calcium hydroxide, Ceteareth-20, potassium hydroxide, propylene glycol, PPG-15 Stearyl Ether, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Chrysanthemum extract, dimethicone, Lithium Magnesium Sodium Silicate, Biosaccharide Gum-1, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, glyceryl stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Microcrystalline Wax, BHT, Sodium Metabisulfite, Sodium Magnesium Silicate, disodium EDTA, fragrance analysis

Papabubble Lychee Lollipop ~ I ordered my Missha Box when Memebox was offering a free Papabubble lollipop. I had no idea that promo was going on and I was surprised to see this in my box.  I love fresh lychee fruits (so goooood), so I will give this a try!

You know what? I LOVE this box!  I know, based on a couple of reviews on Memebox and some of the IG photos, that some are really unhappy with this box, but I love the unexpected items in this box!  To be fair, Memebox should have stated that this was a hair and body box, as folks made the wrong assumption that it was all skincare ~ the description doesn’t state skincare specifically and Missha is known for their other products in South Korea ~ just not here in the USA.

It is rare that hair products are included that aren’t for dry, coarse hair ~ this time, the hair products were for people like me ~ oily, straight, fine hair that needs volume 🙂   I love the body scrub and the Aqua facial cream mask and I will try out the hair removal system, as it is made for sensitive skin.   Outside of the Aqua product, I had no idea that these other items would be included and I am pretty happy that Memebox decided to gamble here and give us products that are not well known in the USA market, but are known in the Korean market.   I guess I am skincare’d out here  (I am a bit overloaded right now)  and having a box with hair and body care items that I can actually use is really exciting to me 🙂  I will use all of the items in this box, which is rare for me and Memebox 🙂

I paid $32.00 for my Missha Box, which is still available, and received a MemeValue of $77.00   I already purchased a second box as I love all of the products in here.   Did you get the Missha Box?  What did you think of it?

Missha In Shower Comfort Hair Removal Cream for Sensitive Skin   As promised, I have come back to give an impression on this product.  I used it on my forearm to test it out ~ my hair there is fine, not coarse.  I put on a layer of this cream and waited 90 seconds ~ wiped off a bit.  A little bit of hair came off, so I left this on for the full 3 minutes and then, using firm but gentle pressure, used the sponge to wipe off (not RUB) the cream and then rinse off.  This did remove the hair and my skin is not red or irritated and the cream does leave a moisturized feeling behind.  I did not experience any rashes or problems ~ but if you wish to use this, try a small patch first on your skin and wipe off at intervals up to 3 minutes, before completely removing, to find how long this needs to stay on your skin.   I do not know how this would work on coarse hair, as this seems to work fine for finer hair.   The scent was not strong, not like Nair, and it did not linger after I wiped the product off.  I might just use this for my peach fuzz around my upper lip area 🙂

  1. I was disappointed when I got the box, but I did make the assumption that it was going to be skincare & makeup based on an old Missha Memebox I’d seen. I’m still going to keep it. I’ll get to try out products I wouldn’t have otherwise. I’ve been disappointed before only to be pleasantly surprised, e.g. Enprani Bounce Cheese Cream. And I forget, it’s not all about the face – scalfs are important, too!

  2. I was hoping you had purchased the Missha box.
Ive never used anything like any of the products in this box, except for the face mask.

Do you use the body scrub all over?
I assume you just use your hands and rub it all over, and not use a rag, because that might be too harsh?

Im interested in the Hair sebum control, but the hair volumizer… I have super thick, straight long hair… I just wash and towel dry and my hair volumizes itself. Lol.

Will you be posting about how the hair remover goes for you?
    Please do =D

    1. hi teri! Yes, on the body scrub, I use it on my arms and legs – but you could use it all over your body (but not your face!) I just put some in my hands and and massage it into my skin that way. The volumnizer – You might want to use it as a night pack for your hair – as it has some great conditioning and moisturizing ingredients in it – wash it out in the morning. I will post back here with an update on the hair remover!! thank you for reading my blog 🙂

      1. Ah kay cool.
How do I use it as a night pack for my hair?
Does it absorb into the skin, like a face night pack?
Or do I have to wear something over my hair so that it doesnt mess up the pillows?

        Thanks for making your blog.
I read it up so I can get some in depth info on the boxes. =D
Usually Id wait till a review goes up, but I was afraid that the Missha box would have sold out. Lol.

Im bummed that its not skincare, but Im hoping Ill get some good usage outta the products.

        1. you just massage it into your hair and leave it on overnight. This product claims it will help strengthen and hydrate your hair, so it would be good as an overnight treatment. It dries quickly and it isn’t greasy, but you might want to change your pillowcase the next morning 🙂
