Unboxing Memebox Intro to Tea Edition 2 #intrototea

I love cosmetics made from tea and my first introduction to that type of ingredient in skin care, was by the company Fresh with their Black Tea line.  I have purchased a Green Tea and Tea Cosmetics box from Memebox and have been very happy with them, plus I have received samples and purchased items from A-True.  Memebox has offered a Starter Kit Intro To Tea, which sold out quickly and it was gone before I had the chance to purchase it.  Within a few days, Memebox offered Intro to Tea Edition 2, which I quickly purchased.   This box already listed the contents, so I knew what was in here and there was one item that I really felt made this box purchase worth the while.  This box is basically the same as my Tea Cosmetics box, so I have tried most of the products already.

I have a whole section in my blog,  devoted to Memebox, so if you want to know more, check out the Memebox category.

Starter Kit Intro to Tea Edition 2

Here’s a guide to a mix of full-sized natural remedies to address all your skin care concerns!   Teas are natural wonders that have long been touted for their countless health and beauty benefits! Great for K-Beauty beginners and K-Beauty holics alike, this Intro to Tea set packs a punch with natural yet potent tea infused cosmetics that work to brighten dark spots, clear pores of impurities and perfect a glowing complexion.

As these products are unknown to me and perhaps even to my readers, I am posting a description of the product under my thoughts for every product.  Normally, I just do a snippet or if it is a product that doesn’t really need a description, I won’t post it.  But for the purposes of my Memeboxes, I will make sure I find the appropriate description, usage and ingredient list if I can find it.   The descriptions will be from the webpage that is linked to the product name.  Not all of these products are sold in the Memebox Shop, so I had to look for them on various sites.   I really had a hard time finding these products, by the way, so don’t be thrown off by the Korean websites that are linked here!

a;t Fox Tea Toc Water Clear Tablet    I happen to love this product!  I have received it in the past and I actually have traded for it and also purchased off eBay to get more.   These are great when I have painful skin issue (like a pimple that just hurts so bad) or just when I want  a nice soothing cleanse.  These are made with Jeju Island green tea leaves and green tea extract.   You just drop the tablet into a basin of warm water, let it dissolve (and it will bubble like carbonated water) and the water’s pH level becomes 4.9 ~ which is the best level for your skin and effectively cleaning and soothing your skin.   The green tea is a great detox, while also being an anti-inflammatory.   I personally add the tablet to a spritzer bottle and use it within a couple of days, to get more than one use out of it.  Full Size  4 g Value $2.00

Product Description: This water clear tablet will make your daily cleansing routine an entirely new experience! When the tablet melts in warm water, the water is transferred into pH4.9 which is basically the best condition for the skin. The green tea extracts from the tablet will then de-tox and soothe your skin to its potential.

How To Use:  Drop the tea bag into a bowl of water and wait until the tablet resolves completely into water. Gently pat your skin with the water.  Do not rinse afterwards; simply let your skin absorb the goodies.

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Maltodectrin, PEG-150, Camellia Sinensis (green tea) Leaf Extract  cosDNA.com analysis

a;t fox Jasoyup Radiance Fixer    I received the Gyoolpy version in the Memebox Tea Cosmetics box and this was the item in the first edition of Intro to Tea, which sold out before I could get it.  I am glad that I got this version as, while the Gyoolpy was fine, I really wanted the chance to try another version of a facial mist by a;t Fox.  This mist is a makeup fixer, something that I haven’t really tried, but am willing to try it out.  When I received my first a;t fox product, I discovered that “a;t” stands for Afternoon Tea, which explains their love of tea.   This company has “makeup cafes” and blogger hipsterrific (who changed her blog site ~ now it is Do Everything In Love)  wrote up her experience when she visited it in Seoul ~ you can read it here.  It is very interesting and I recommend checking it out!   Full Size 100mL Value $12.00

What is Jasoyup? P. frutescens var. crispa the aromatic leafy herb called by its Korean name Jasoyup, 자소엽, its Japanese name shiso, which in turn is a loan word from Chinese: 紫蘇; pinyin: zĭsū; Wade–Giles: tsu-su. The plant occurs in red (purple-leaved) or green-leaved forms. It also has a less fashionable translated name “beefsteak plant”, but starting around the 1980s, with the rise of popularity of Japanese cuisine, it has become increasingly more chic for the mass media to refer to it as shiso.  Expressed from these seeds, the perilla oil exhibits one of the highest proportions of omega-3 (α-linolenic acid (ALA)  fatty acids of any seed oil, at 54-64% and only 14% linoleic acid, an omega-6 fatty acid. This unusual n6:n3 ratio gives this crop potential for an alternative to other seed oils.   (source)

Product Description:  This lightweight, non-sticky facial mist is the secret to longer lasting makeup. It creates a budge-proof barrier for fresh-looking  makeup that lasts for hours and increases hydration for a silky, smooth appearance and won’t dry skin out.  This product is formulated with aloe vera, mineral water, witch hazel and chamomile to deliver a healthy-looking, radiant glow

The Skin House Lavender Lightening Emulsion   I currently am using my emulsion from the first tea cosmetics box and whereas I haven’t seen any “lightening” results (yet),  this is a nice, creamy, non-greasy emulsion, that absorbs quickly, has a light (very light) scent that disappears quickly, and my face does not feel sticky.  I think this emulsion is going to last me thru the zombie apocalypse, it is that huge.  This is made with lavender tea (another herbal tea product) and 104 fermented extracts!    Full Size 120mL Value $41.00

A-True White Snow Tea Brilliant Essence  This is my absolute favorite product in the box and this is the product that makes this box worthwhile ~ the price tag along on this product is over the cost of this box!  This White Snow Tea essence is perfect for my oily skin, as it doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy or sticky.  The essence is creamy, lightweight, quickly absorbs and almost leaves a matte finish on my face.   It has a golden sheen to it, as if there are little sparkles within the essence, but once this is massaged into the skin, you do not see the golden sparkles.   There was a slight stinging sensation, but again, it was over within a second or two.  I do not have any negative reactions with this essence, such as acne or redness.  White Snow Tea Brilliant Essence does not have any noticeable fragrance, which I really do prefer in my skin care products.  Black Tea Water 83% (Compagnie Coloniale)   Full Size 40mL Value $55.00

Product Description: The whitening and moisturizing properties of the brilliant essence helps the skin to be resilient and glow with both a pure and natural radiance. The brilliant essence has been formulated using *Oriental Beauty Fruits Newplex.  This special formula is obtained by extracting four different kinds of medicinal fructose using low-temperature ultrasonic extraction methods to maximize efficiency.  *Oriental Beauty Fruits Newplex is created by extracting pomegranate, fig, ginkgo, nuts and mulberries, all of which have excellent anti-oxidant properties. Skin relaxing properties are found withing Panthenol (vitamin B5).  This helps reduce the overall stress and irritation placed on the skin from environmental factors.  It’s also very rich in polyphenol which works to deliver vitality to skin and suppress formation of blemishes and freckles.
