A. by BOM has released 4 new sheet masks, one patch mask and a modeling mask in recent months.  I have purchased some and others were received for review purposes from Bemused Korea, which is the only store that I know that keeps up with the latest releases!   You can read my past A. by Bom reviews here, where I have reviewed several of their products already.  Oh and any brand that has Siwon from Suju as their spokesperson gets MY attention!!

A. by BOM uses ingredients from natural vegetable and botanicals  ~ such as using autumn grains which will help nourish and revive dull, tired skin; floral extracts that will create firm, toned skin that is elastic and soft and seed oils, giving nourishment to make your skin glowing and radiant.  A. by BOM believes that the beauty of Korea is the world’s best, constantly looks to improve and bring better, unique products to their customers and listens to their customers needs. 

Skin Type and Concerns:  Oily, blemish prone, aging, pores fine lines/wrinkles and hyper pigmentation.

A. by BOM Ultra Serum Leaf Mask (gifted) I love A. by BOM products and this mask is a winner! The sheet mask with this is a bit different from the other masks made by A. by BOM ~ this is a hypoallergenic Bemliese sheet mask. Bemliese uses 100% cotton linter and just like all A. by BOM sheet masks, is biodegradable.This contains antioxidant Korean panax ginseng, which can stimulate the skin and activate the blood flow, which will increase toning and production of new skin cells.  Ginseng detoxes your skin and leaves it radiant and glowing. Applied topically, it helps stimulate collagen production to promote cellular renewal. Its herbal properties and usage dates back over 5,000 years.  Lightweight and dry apricot kernel oil is very nourishing and rich in vitamin E, helping to combat dark circles and fatty acids, helping to soften wrinkles.  It is not greasy, is an anti-inflammatory and calms and soothes skin.  Pomegranate helps promote collagen production to help skin become firm and hydrated. Pomegranate also is an antioxidant with a rice source of vitamin C, which also aids in collagen production, while brightening and evening out skin tones. Figs have a high mucilage content ~ a polysaccharide found in plants which store moisture, helping trap water in your skin, keeping it hydrated. As an emollient, fig extracts also help soften and smooth your skin.  

This mask has a mesh protector to help keeps its shape in the package and also to better apply to face. The essence is jelly like and peachy pink in color, with a slight floral scent. This is not as strongly scented as other A. by BOM masks. The fit on this mask is excellent and it is quite cooling on my skin. What I didn’t expect were the results. Seriously, this mask made my skin FEEL firmer and more toned. Yes, my skin was very hydrated and soft, but it felt more taunt and firm. It was temporary, but I did purchase a full box of these!! I think this is one of the few masks that I can honestly say that my skin felt very toned!

A. by BOM Ultra Bouquet Patch Mask (courtesy of Bemused Korea)  One of my favorite A. by BOM products is their A. by BOM (2 step) Ultra Night Leaf Mask, which has these huge calendula patches and a sleep pack ~ which I hope they will make into a full size tub.  So, when I saw these patches come out, I was really excited. These are made from natural tencel fiber, and they are thicker but that is good, as I can keep them on longer without them drying out ~ they adhere nicely and are very smooth. They also are in this adorable camellia flower design ~ white on white ~ very classy looking!

Speaking of camellia, that is one of the key ingredients in here. Camilla is a powerful antioxidant & will help combat free radicals, preventing wrinkles and reducing hyper-pigmentation. It aids in the production of collagen and it also can restore the moisture balance back into your skin, resulting in radiant, glowing skin. This includes both camellia extracts and seed oil. These patches also has anti-inflammatory fraxinus rhynchophylla, cooling and  soothing basil, skin softening wild yam, antioxidant-rich wakame helps detox, regenerate and soothe your skin. It also has moisturizing and hydrating sodium hyaluronate, betaine, beta-glucan and squalane. These have a light floral scent and thankfully, it is lightly scented compared to other A. by BOM products.

You can use these as a toner step, by just wiping on all over your skin after cleaning or my favorite way, slap a few on your face where you are dry, sunburned, red or just want a little more TLC. I can leave mine on for 30 minutes with no problems and my skin is so soft, hydrated and less red looking after I remove them. My only complaint is that there are only 30 patches in here, so I am going to empty this container soon!! Many thanks to Bemused Korea for this product!!

 I do love modeling masks but they do take time! A. by BOM has been churning out the new releases and I was lucky enough to get the latest offering from them from Bemused Korea. A. by BOM Lux Bride Modeling Mask and a platinum-color silver bowl to mix it all up in! This is a 3 part mask kit ~ you have the silver gel and pearl powder that you mix together. Applying silver topically can provide antimicrobial and antibacterial benefits, which is great for healing blemishes. Pearls have been used in TCM (traditional Chinese Medicine) for over 2000 years and they are known for their anti-aging, brightening and firming benefits ~ containing minerals and amino acids to help nourish your skin and retain moisture on your skin. After mixing, apply on a clean dry face. It is not clay based, but a transparent gelly based mask ~ I have to work quickly to get it on my face once it is mixed up, otherwise, it will start clumping ~ this is normal with gelly-based modeling masks.

It is very cool and refreshing on my skin, with just a faint floral scent. The jelly-modeling mask is very wet to the touch, even when it “dries” down, it still feels very moist ~ its like hydrating snot on mah face! But in a good way…lol

I could have left this on for over an hour, but I did remove it after 30 minutes ~ it came off with no issues (although I couldn’t remove it in one piece) and my skin felt really hydrated and soft! This gave my skin the extra moisture boost it needed. After removing the mask, use the 3rd part, which is a gold serum, containing 100ppm gold and Japanese goldthread ~ you can see the flecks of gold in the serum! Topically applied, gold has a brightening effect on your skin as it is a reflective ingredient. This was very nourishing and left a nice smooth finish on my skin. Again, this had a faint scent to it ~ I am hoping this means that A. by BOM is formulating their products so they aren’t so strongly scented! I kept the mask remains out on a dish overnight and in the morning, it was still wet jelly! A. by BOM Ultra Water Leaf Mask  (originally gifted) This is another sheet mask that is made from the hypoallergenic Bemliese™, material, which uses 100% cotton linter as its raw material with no adhesive, dissolves naturally and is a non woven mask.  It has a fine thin mesh protector so that the mask can hold its shape and also for ease of placement on your face. This has a cast of some great ingredients ~ meadowfoam oil has excellent anti-oxidant and skin softening properties and benefits. It has rich texture that helps with your skin’s barrier and locks in your skin’s moisture, preventing dryness.  Hollyhock  is a demulcent, meaning that it is relieves inflammation & irritation. This ingredient helps heal and soften skin. It has a slippery texture, known as mucilaginous, plumping up your skin, smoothing out fine lines & reducing redness.

Japanese birch water is full of compounds that will help tone, moisturize and make your face smooth, supple and radiant. It is also known as the Water of Life and contains high concentrates of amino acids, minerals, vitamins such as magnesium, potassium, enzymes, sodium, iron, vitamin C and sugars. Birch Sap has been traditionally used in Northern European countries and the Baltic regions and it will protect and combat free radicals due to its powerful anti-aging and antioxidant ingredient. Hinoki cypress (chamaecyparis obtusa) has antiseptic, anti fungal and antiviral properties to heal blemishes and minor skin issues, like abrasions and rashes, and purifying your skin. English lavender helps regulate the amount of sebum our skin produces. Lavender balances the oil production of the skin and also helps speed up wound healing. Korean perilla is full of anthocyanins and flavonoids, which perform as an antioxidant, repairing your skin, protecting against free radicals and aiding in cellular turnover. 

Like all A. by BOM masks, this is drenched in essence ~ this time a watery one, with a light floral scent that reminds me of wildflowers.  The mask fit is fantastic and it feels soft and plush against my skin. 

This sheet mask is a cool, refreshing drink of water for my skin ~ it feels so good on after after 30 minutes, I removed it.  My skin feels very hydrated, smooth and very cool to the touch.  There  are some water droplets on my skin, but that does dry down within several minutes ~ it takes longer as my skin is so damp!  There is no sticky or tacky residue, and my mores also look smaller in appearance ~ thanks to the birch juice!  This also a favorite mask of mine ~ I purchased a full sized box of it!

A. by BOM 2 Step Ultra Royal Leaf Mask  A. by BOM is known for their masks with flowers and leaf patches so it comes to no surprise that they would create a gold mask ~ with royal jelly!  This mask is a 2 Step process as it has 4 gold leaves and then the sheet mask that goes over it.   This mask set will help give you glowing skin.  This has a lot of lovely ingredients that are anti-aging ~ including propolis, the aforementioned royal jelly, fermented black truffle and sea buckthorne.

This cashmere-soft mask is made from the next generation of sheet mask material ~ Trans Tencel ~ and it is a breathable sheet mask that allows the skin to quickly absorbs the nutritious essence.  The mask is full of a thick watery essence, not quite jelly and the sheet is almost gelatinous. The scent is a very faint sweet soapy smell.  There are four gold leaves  ~ two larger and two that were smaller.  Just slap on the patches where you need additional skincare.  Both the mask and leaves are protected by a thicker hard mesh sheet, so that these products don’t loose their shape in the pouch.  The gold leaves are a bit hard to separate, so if you think you only have 2 leaves, it is most likely they are they sticking together and you need a bit of patience in pulling them apart.

After 40 minutes, I removed and as this is a very wet mask, the dry down for me was about 5 minutes.  My skin looks visibly brighter and clearer.

A. by BOM Ultra Royal Glow Queen Mask  This is the most recent mask release ~ A. by BOM has been on a continuous release roll this year ~ and I love this one!  This is another royal jelly mask ~ along with Manuka honey and green propolis: Royal jelly is  honey bee product ~ it contains B-complex vitamins, nucleic acid, decanoic acid, flavonoids, essential fatty acids, amino acids, enzymes, minerals and natural antibiotic and antibacterial compounds. It is an anti-aging ingredient as well, as it can increase collagen production in your skin.   Honey has antibacterial properties, that can speed up healing in your skin ~ think acne, rashes, cuts ~ and prevent additional infection. The wonderful texture of honey will keep moisture close to your skin, which makes for a glowing and radiant complexion.

Not only does honey keep moisture in your skin, but it is humectant, which means it attracts moisture too! Honey is also an antioxidant, which means it helps repair and combat any damage caused by free radicals and prevents premature wrinkling  Propolis is a natural antibiotic that is produced by honey bees. This ingredient is wonderful for those with blemish prone skin or have other skin issues, as it really helps heal your skin.   This also has moringa, the “miracle tree”, not only is nourishing to your skin, they are also known for their purifying and anti-inflammatory, soothing benefits.

This mask is so plush and full of honey scented jelly goodness! This is one nutritious mask and the light amber colored essence is so thick that the mask sheet is almost gelatinous in its feel.  This also has a light mesh protector for ease of application and the mask fit is excellent.  After 40 minutes, I removed…. I honestly thought this was going to be a night time mask, as the essence was so thick, but but it dries down quickly, leaving my skin soft, silky and supple to the touch.  AND my skin is glowing with radiance with no dewy or sticky residue.  This mask also helped heal some blemishes and make them less apparent in size and color ~ that is the trifecta of honey bee ingredients at work ~ well known  to help skin issues.

Final Thoughts

Seriously, A. by BOM has stepped up their game.  They really must have listened to feedback, as their masks are not so perfumed scented as before ~ instead, it is light florals and honey scents. All of these masks products are fantastic ~ but if I had to choose, I would pick the Ultra Water Leaf Mask, Ultra Serum Leaf Mask and the Ultra Royal Glow Queen Mask.  But seriously all of them are fantastic and you cannot go wrong with any of them.  The packaging design is once again on point with the lovely watercolor type florals and the cute bees! Have you tried A. by Bom yet?  Do you want to?  Which of their products looks to be the most interesting to you?
