Another View Starting on the left:  Big White Yeti “Nude Beach”, Mosley Lane “Beachy”, The Flying Farm  “Tahitian Bay”

Big White Yeti “Nude Beach”  A favorite brand of mine (who can resist a Yeti?  I know I can’t!!) and this is in Nude Beach ~ this scent reminds me of suntanning oil and it smells wonderful ~ I love the scent of tanning oils and lotions ~ brings back a lot of childhood memories at the beach.   One thing I like to do is to try and guess the scent of the candle first before I read the description.  I was originally sad to see this “It’s simple, light and fresh with sugary note of sweet coconut oil.”  Then I read this “That’s the official scent profile. The unofficial way we describe it- sunscreen. It smells like you are on a beach slathering yourself in the brown bottle sunscreen that you either way overpaid for at a shop across the street from the beach or you responsibly picked up at a drug store by your home when planning for your beach excursion.”  hahaha So, I guessed it correctly!  It is suntanning oil/lotion and it is great! Big White Yeti candles are made from 100% soy and are hand poured in Milwaukee, WI.   Burn Time 35 hours  Burn time approximately 30 hours.  6oz  RV $10.00

Mosley Lane “Beachy”  Mosley Lane is another favorite of mine as I usually GET HUGE whoppers of a candle from them!  This one smells like a tropical fruity drink ~ I can really smell the papaya and kiwi in here!  The official description is “ripened mango and juicy papaya blended with kiwi and pineapple:”  Another great scent!  Mosley Lane is an eco-friendly family owned business from Ohio and this huge candle in a mason glass jar with a gold screw top lid, nothing fancy, but it will work in every room.  Mosley Lane’s hand poured candles are made with 100% USA ingredients: 100% natural dye free soy wax and beeswax blend, lead free, natural fiber cotton wick and concentrated fragrance oil that are phthalate free. Burn time is 50+ hours 11 oz RV $15.99

The Flying Farm “Tahitian Bay”  Now, I haven’t heard of this brand before, but based on what Flickerbox’s description stated, this was an original brand that they used to have in their boxes, but then the makers took some time off.  They are back again and this is the 3rd candle in the box ~ This one smells like a banana smoothie to me!  Official description: ” Tahitian Bay is a blissful blend of ripe bananas, coconut milk, luscious vanilla, with a touch of fruitiness. It smells like a luxurious tanning lotion and turns the room into an exotic Polynesian escape.”  I don’t think it smells like tanning lotion,  though. I did get the bananas right, however!   Etsy shop The Flying Farm operates out of Greenville, South Carolina and they handcraft and hand pore their 100% all natural soy wax candles that use only phthalate free fragrances and cotton wicks.   4 oz RV $8.00  Promo Code: Save 10% on your next purchase at The Flying Farm using code SAVE10

LOVE this month’s box!  The scents are tropical, fruity and just really lovely. I am a fan of these types of sweet scents and I am also excited to see a new brand (to  me) in this box ~ hopefully The Flying Farm will be featured more. This box’s value is $34.00 and I paid $34.00 for my box, as I am on a month to month subscription and I am grandfathered in, so my shipping is included in the price tag.  It is the same as what I paid for it, but I have very low expectations with Flickerbox .   I always mention this in each review, as I think you should have the proper expectation if you subscribe to FlickerBox.  I never expect to have a huge value placed on it.   Shipping costs for candles is expensive and the products are made by artisans, making their eco-friendly candles with their own scents and hand crafted, it is a great deal.  Also, some months are well over $40.00 in value, so it does even out in the end.

Flickerbox also has a store, where you purchase candles that were featured in their past boxes.

Do you subscribe to Flickerbox?  What did you think of this month’s candles?  Let me know in the comments below!
