I Was A Sari Loop (Infinity) Scarf What a really great idea! Made in Mumbai, this handcrafted scarf is made by using up-cycled sari fabric and helps employ Indian women artisans in slum areas. This is an important mission, as women learn new skills as well as providing them a profession, helping to lift them out of poverty. Your scarf may not look like mine as it is a variation. I love my scarf ~ it measures about 31.5 by 31.5 inches and it has a beautiful chocolate brown background, with a floral border. Golds, greens and greens make up the florals and the material is a good weight too ~ it isn’t flimsily or too thin.
I do wear scarves even in the summertime, because inside the office, the cold AC really is not too comfortable, so a scarf helps make it tolerable. I Was A Sari website is coming soon with an online shop; however, they do show what products they will carry ~ not only do they make scarves from old sari’s, but tote bags of all sizes ~ from shopping to wine and regular totes ~ pouches, yoga mat carriers (oohhhh), different types of scarves, including sarongs, bandana and jewelry as well ~ the beads are made from the saris! The Sari up-cycled scarf steals the show with this month’s box, but I do love every item. I am glad to get the Yurok hair conditioning product ~ its been so long since I last tried it and I remember how much I loved it in the first place. Cuticle creams are always welcome as my hands get so dry and beat up, all year round. The algae and matcha green tea soap ~ I will have to purchase a full size version of this soon and I can always use more supplements to help strengthen my hair and nails.
