Starting on the left: Hearth & Hammer “Burning Books, From The Page “Reading Nook”, Paddy Wax “Edgar Allen Poe”
Hearth & Hammer “Burning Books” This candle’s brand was a variation in our box this month ~ you could receive Walden Woods, Signal Fire, The Green Light, Open Road or this one, Burning Books. I would never burn a book, but I do love this scent ~ it is a cinnamon, orange and pine fir. Hearth & Hammer is located in Batavia, IL and are literary inspired ~ with series like their Literary Classics. These candles are made in small batches, hand poured natural USA sourced soy wax with lead free, eco cotton wicks. This candle comes in a brushed glass jar with a screw top lid. Burn Time 35 hours 8 oz RV $18.00
Description: Burn candles not books! This candle is packed with cinnamon orange heat. Smells like you’re sitting by a fire reading your favorite banned book.
From the Page “Reading Nook” From Valley Stream, NY, Etsy shop From the Page candles are inspired by novels ~ they are hand-poured with USA sourced soy wax, which is eco-friendly and clean burning. This candle has a lovely aqua-blue tint to the soy wax and it has a musky-vanilla scent to it. I looked up the product description ~ and yes, it is a very earthy scent ~ “Is there anything better than a cozy spot to read? Make yours smell great with this musky, warm Reading Nook candle! The scents used are bergamot, amber, coriander and vanilla” Burn Time 20 ~ 24 hours 4 oz travel tin RV $6.00 Promo Code: Use FLICKER to get 10% off your purchases at From the Page. Expires 02/28/2017
Paddywax “Edgar Allan Poe” ~ “All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream.” – Edgar Allen Poe Paddywax makes another appearance in Flickerbox with their “Library” Collection ~ This series is wonderful as I have purchased a few of them myself in the past. The long rectangle copper tin with a “book label” on top, with an old time-y script. Edgar Allan Poe, the creator of the first detective story plus amazing Gothic horror stories, was a literary genius. Like most geniuses, he was a troubled soul and died way too young. This candle’s scent is cardamom, absinthe and sandalwood, which is perfect for Poe and it is a really sexy scent. This candle is made from soy wax with 2 cotton wicks. Burn Time 20 hours 2.5 oz Travel Tin RV $8.00
I love all three scents ~ these are great for the winter time, with their piney, earthy scents. I love Burning Books and Edgar Allan Poe ~ those really are my type of scents and Reading Nook is a great musky scent as well ~ I enjoy seeing candles that have a color other than white or cream! Great job with the tint on that candle. This box’s value is $32.00 and I paid $34.00 for my box, as I am on a month to month subscription and I am grandfathered in, so my shipping is included in the price tag. When you subscribe to Flickerbox, don’t expect to have a HUGE value placed on it, as shipping costs for candles is expensive and the products are made by artisans, making their eco-friendly candles with their own scents and hand crafted, it is a great deal.
Flickerbox also has a store, where you purchase candles that were featured in their past boxes.
