Yogi Surprise came out with two summer limited edition boxes  ~ one for lifestyle and a jewelry box.  The spoiler for the jewelry box looked amazing, so I hopped on board and purchased it.  And I am SO glad I did!   What is Yogi Surprise?

Turquoise and Golden Peach Agate Adjustable Hemp Bracelet  This is the spoiler and I am so happy with this! This bracelet has a row  turquoise and golden peach agate beads, alternating between the colors.  These beads are strung in a golden brown hemp cord with a silver tone oval button and has two loops for adjustable.   This is such a beautiful bracelet, as the bright blue shade of turquoise works beautifully with the golden color of agate ~ which I thought were amber beads at first, as that is how close the shade is ~ with the hemp cord.  This bracelet measures 3/8 inches in width and 11 inches long, with the first toggle opening at  7 1/4 inches and the 2nd at 8 3/4 “.   This is just a fun bracelet and looking forward to August’s box, this will be a great layering piece!  RV $45.00

Hemp I have to get up on my soap box here as I have written about hemp before in my blog..  I will repeat it here as I still love hemp! Hemp has gotten a bad name in the last century or so, because people associate it with marijuana.  But it wasn’t like that in the past ~ It has been cultivated for 12,000 years as a major food, fuel and fiber product.  America used to grow hemp and it was used to make rope, fabric and paper and in some states, you had to grow hemp and if you didn’t, you would go to jail!  Back in the days of King Henry Henry VIII , if you were a farmer, you were encouraged to grow hemp, as it was used for their Naval Fleet  ~ from rope, riggings  and sails.   That is how valuable that resource is.  Hemp is an amazing renewable resource and it can be used for anything ~ I’ve read about how “plastic” can be made from hemp and Henry Ford and Rudolph Diesel used hemp to create biomass fuel ~ and this in the late 19th and early 20th Century. 

Can you tell I am a HUGE hemp fan?  I think if we can ever get over the smear campaign in the 20th century with hemp (Reefer Madness, anyone?), it will become a huge player in newable fuels and to get us off the archaic fossil fuels that we are so dependent on.  If you want to read more about hemp and how great it is, check out this site www.hemp.com  So, I am really happy to get hemp products ~ they are few and far between, but I do think that the future will show a resurgence of hemp products.

 

Sacred Summer Sandalwood, Turquoise & Rose Quartz Pendant Necklace  OMGERD!  This is amazing.  This 34 inch long necklace with a HUGE 1.5 inch pendant drop ~ so 35 1/2 inches in total ~ is fab 🙂 The pendant is solid thick rose quartz disk ~ a delicate pink shade ~ and hangs from a strand of beads made from  sandalwood, turquoise and either moonstone or white quartz  ~ this necklace is a show stopper!  Even using two small crystal clear quartz beads to help anchor the pendant ~ the attention to detail and the presentation of this necklace is amazing.  I love it.   The sandalwood has that nice, lovely soothing scent of incense and yeah, I love this necklace ~ I am so happy I purchased this box!   RV $136.00

Tasty Brand Organic Chocolate Layer Cake Sandwich Cookie  As always, the Jewelry box includes a chocolate treat.  These are great chocolate cookies ~ all natural flavored, non GMO verified, vegan, Kosher, certified USDA organic and they do not contain trans-fat, high fructose corn syrup ~ can these be good??? Yep!  Tasty fudge-y creamy filling i between two crisp chocolate cookies ~ very yummy and in my tummy now.  3 cookies RV $1.30

WHAT A GREAT BOX!!  I already loved the spoiler item but that pendant is amazing.   I cannot get over how beautiful that necklace is.  Plus chocolate cookies ~ what is not to love about this box?  NOTHING.  Fantastic, absolutely great and so much so, I purchased another one as a gift.  I paid $25.00 for this box and received a RV of  $182.00.  I can say this, the price I paid for this box is really worth what I received.   Also, part of the proceeds from this box will go back to the local artisans that made these items and help educate their community.  You can still purchase this box ~ very limited ~ at Yogi Surprise for $24.99 (click here)  which includes shipping.
