I have decided to stay with one mini Asian beauty subscription box, as I have so many samples right now! I do like that this box is really affordable and The 3B Box has improved a lot lately. What is 3B (Beauty Beyond Borders)? It is an Asian sample monthly subscription box and is very affordable at $12.00/monthly. It is similar to ipsy and Birchbox, where you get 4 to 5 deluxe samples (and sometimes a full sized item!)
More about 3B’s monthly service:
Each box contains a collection of deluxe samples that are new or popular in Asia but hard to get your hands on. The products will change each month, and you’ll get to try new skincare, haircare, nailcare, and cosmetic products. Sample products range from go-to brands such as Lioele, Etude House and Skinfood to high-end premium brands like SK-II, Kanebo, and Sulwhasoo. Don’t worry about not being able to read Japanese or Korean – we’ve got you covered with English translations of descriptions in each box. (https://the3bbox.com/the-box/)
Informational Card
I like how they changed the back side of the info card to have a nice design, instead of the bland burnt orange background. I hope they do this every month
UNT Aqua Nettoyant Cleanser (Taiwan) This was a spoiler from 3B when they sent out the shipping notices ~ this is what they had to say about it:
As a leading brand in Taiwan, UNT creates medical grade skincare that gives you visible results. We’re featuring the UNT Aqua Cleanser which we love because it has a pH of 5.5 making it suitable for all skin types, and it simultaneously hydrates and cleanses with 23% amino acids. In case you are wondering, amino acids are the building blocks of skincare. Each amino acid has a unique benefit, and combined, they help heal damaged skin, encourage skin cell regeneration, enhance collagen production, fight aging and keep your skin hydrated! When washing your face remember to always use luke warm water before and after to avoid exposing your skin to extreme temperature differences!
This is a small sample, so I will probably get one, maybe two uses out of it ~ except it has rose extracts in it. I cannot find the complete list of ingredients (only a partial), but when I opened up the tube, I could REALLY smell the rose in this… Oh well… I am happy to see new brands in The 3B Box, however! I hope that means they will continue to give us new and exciting samples 🙂 Sample Size 0.3 oz RV $1.10
Description: This superb facial cleanser contains 23% of Amino Acids to power the most hydrating wash there is! Amino Acids are able to maintain high moisture level while cleansing thoroughly. Their fine foaming micro beads go into every pore to scour the deepest clogs, leaving your face feeling clean and smooth without feeling taut. AQUA NETTOYANT is formulated at a mildly acidic pH of 5.6 to match your skin’s pH so the cleanser is fully compatible with your skin! Amino Acids are basic building blocks of peptides. They offer superb cleansing power while maintaining their mild pH character. Amino Acids also have hydrating advantage by enhancing the skin’s water retention.

3W Clinic Intensive UV Sunblock Cream SPF 50+/PA+++ This is a full sized item! I actually like trying out more products from 3W Clinic ~ they are an inexpensive brand, similar to Secret Key, but their products can be really nice. And sunscreen is always needed in my household ~ even if a sunscreen may not work well for your skin type, the rest of your body would appreciate it! This is SPF 50+ PA+++, which is pretty decent coverage for a Korean brand. I like the silver tube with the bright orange sun ~ very cool looking. This sunscreen has a pointed tube tip applicator and the gel-cream is very soft and lightweight, but not runny. It has a generic light soapy scent to it, spreads easily, doesn’t leave a white cast behind nor a sticky residue and my skin is very hydrated and dewy (so, not going on my face!!) Please note that this product contains dimethicone and parabens. Full Size 70 mL RV $7.00
Description: This soft cream type sun screen could be spread softly on face which then protects skin from sun and its moisturizing component provides water to the face keeping it moist. Contains aloe extract which relieves skin irritation, and protects from skin troubles while making the face healthy. Dual Function: You can use as a make-up base (even up the skin tone without looking like make up.

Tonymoly Kiss Kiss Lovely Lip Patch I wear a lot of matte lippies, so having my lips in good shape means not only using a lip exfoliator and moisturizing balm, but lip mask patches too. These do make a difference for hydrating your lips and prepping them for a matte lippie ~ if your lips are chapped or dry, matte lipsticks will just accentuate those flaws. After being outside in the sun all day long (beach, camping, hanging out), slap one of these babies on to soothe, plump and add moisture back into your lips. This is a jiggly hydro-gel mask so be careful not to rip it. These are reported to have a sweet berry and flavor to them and they are enriched with Vitamin C, due to the berry complex ingredients. Oh.. Jessica Alba and Lady Gaga are huge fans of these lip masks! RV $2.50
Ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Chondrus Crispsus (carrageenan), Butylene Glycol, Hamamelis Virginiana (witch hazel) Extract, Paeonia Suffruticosa Root Extract, Ceratonia Siliqua Gum, Agar, Methylparaben, Fragaria Chiloensis (strawberry) Fruit Extract, Vaccinium Angustifolium (blueberry) Fruit Extract, Rubus Fruticosus (blackberry) Fruit Extract, Arclostaphylos Uv a Ursi Leaf Extract, CI 16185, Sodium Citrate, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Benzophenone-4, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Flavor cosDNA analysis
Etude House Pink Vital Water Facial Emulsion The little bottle this sample came is TOO CUTE. If I had a little one around, this would be great as milk bottle for his/her dolls! This emulsion has a light scent to it and it isn’t that unpleasant ~ I love using emulsions because I have oily skin and have a hard time with traditional creams. Creams sometimes just “sit” on the surface of my skin, instead of being absorbed, leaving my face looking greasy. Whereas emulsions are light weight (even lighter than lotions) and since I layer hydrating products pre-emulsion step, this is all I need to lock in that moisture. I will give this a try and see how it works ~ it has some nice ingredients in it, such as peach, bilberry and Giant sequoia bud extracts (channeling primera products here ~ they are famous for their bud/sprout ingredients), vitamin C, vitamin E, beta-carotene and peptides, Sample Size 15 mL $1.50
Description: The vitality-charging moisture emulsion makes the flaky, tired skin feel smooth as it gently wraps the skin without creating a stuffy feel.
Ingredients: Water, Propanediol, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Pentaerythrityl Tetraethylhexanoate, Prunus Persica (Peach) Bud Extract, Beta-Carotene, Ascorbic Acid (vitamin C), Tocopherol (vitamin E), Tocopheryl Acetate, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Sequoiadendron Gigantea Bud Extract, Vaccinium Myrtillus Bud Extract, Copper Tripeptide-1, Caffeic Acid, C12-20 Alkyl Glucoside, C14-22 Alcohols, Glycerin, Glyceryl Stearate, Glyceryl Caprylate, Dextrin, Dimethicone, Lecithin, Methoxy PEG-114/Polyepsilon Caprolactone, Betaine, Butylene Glycol, Cyclopentasiloxane, Cyclohexasiloxane, Acrylates/Ammonium Methacrylate Copolymer, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Ethylhexylglycerin, Alcohol, Ubiquinone, Xanthan Gum, Zinc DNA, Gardenia Florida Fruit Extract, Carbomer, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Extract, Caprylyl Glycol, Calcium Pantetheine Sulfonate, Cholesteryl Hexyl Dicarbamate Pullulan, Tromethamine, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Polyacrylic Acid, PEG-100 Stearate, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Hydrolyzed Millet, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance cosDNA analysis

This is a great month from The 3B Box for me ~ despite the rose foam cleanser, I am pleased that they are including products from other countries besides Korea. I am happy to have another sunscreen, as I am really trying to be good this year and reapply, reapply and reapply that stuff to my skin! The lip patch is a lot of fun and does temporarily help bring moisture to your lips and I am pretty excited about the Etude House emulsion. Lots of summer-ready products here ~ lightweight and hydrating, plus sunscreen. I paid $12.00 for this and received a RV of over $12.10, which is pretty darn low, but last month was really high in RV value. Perhaps they should have added 3 of the lip masks, as that would have helped bring the value up a bit more.
Did you receive The 3B box this month? What did you think of it? Let me know in the comments below!
