Unboxing Beauty

I now have two Yogi Surprise subs!  One is for their lifestyle box, which I will be receiving next week and the other is my jewelry sub, which I have been sub’d to since last fall.     They usually give one spoiler for the box, but the other 2 items are a mystery 🙂  What is Yogi Surprise?

The Jewelry box will contain two handcrafted yoga inspired jewelry pieces, that are fair trade, sustainably harvested materials, nickle-free, lead-free and cadmium free.  These are made in Bali, Indonesia and 10% of all proceeds will be given to education the Balinese families to make these beautiful pieces.   It also contains an organic chocolate treat.

“I am Healed” Labradorite & Jade Bracelet  Ohhh, this is so pretty!  There are a lot of elements here ~ their are six labradorite beads, which are more of a mossy green shade than a blue-grey ~ I thought these were the jade beads at first!  Then there are silver toned carved beads with flat spacers that have little crystals for some subtle bling!  I didn’t even notice it until I was editing the photos ~ ha.  There is a lotus silver tone round charm and the rest of the beads in the bracelet are white jade.  This is just stunning ~ it is a bit on the small size, but I am hoping that the elastic will stretch a bit ~ it should as March’s bracelet had the same sizing problem and it is stretch so where it wasn’t so tight.  I hope Yogi Surprise goes back to a slightly large size as it is easy to restring if it is too large ~ you cannot go the other way if it is too small.    RV $35.00

Labradorite  This stone has healing energy and is good crystal to aid in relieving both pain and stress.  It can open up physic hearing, which involves the throat chakra and the third eye chakra.  Labradorite will protect and remove negativity from your aura.  If you need energy, it will help to recharge you.  It will bring insight, clarity and success towards your destiny.    Read more at Crystal Meanings    

White Jade  Primary Chakra ~  Heart Chakra   Secondary Chakra ~  Crown Chakra  White Jade is a grounding stone that helps calm the wearer while protecting them from negative energies.  It will bring harmony, luck, peace and helps filter distractions, so you can make the proper decision. 

Lotus In Buddhism, the lotus flower represents purity, spiritual awaking and faithfulness.    The flower symbolizes purity, because it is clean, despite living in murky pond waters.

 

“Balance” Sandalwood, Pearl and Amazonite Mala  This was the spoiler and the photo that Yogi Surprise had does NOT do this mala justice.  This mala is just stunning.  It has 108 beads, consisting of luminous white pearls, sea aqua amazonite and the creamy tan of sandalwood ~ and yes, this smells just like sandalwood!  I had this on today and was wondering what perfume I was wearing as it was a nice relaxing woody scent ~ and I realized it was my necklace!  This is about 34 inches in length and with the 3 1/2 inch pure white tassel, the total length is about 37 1/2 inches.  108 beads in a mala has many different meanings, whether it is associated with chakras, the different stages of the human soul’s journey or obtaining enlightenment via taking 108 breaths daily while in deep mediation.  However, there are many different reasons and open to many different interpretations, but it is used to help with mediation, healing and cleansing.     RV $120.00

I love this month ~ the sandalwood mala necklace is just so amazing and smells so GOOD and despite the bracelet being a wee bit smaller than I would like ~ I like a looser fit ~ it is so beautiful with the charms and beads.   Love the tootsie roll candy  ~  I loved them as a child and am happy to see that there are healthy alternatives being made.  I paid $25.00 for this box and received a RV of  $157.00 ~ I don’t think the mala is worth THAT much, but I do feel that my box is worth well over $25.00 ~ plus part of the proceeds from this box will go back to the local artisans that made these items and help educate their community.
