Wishtrend Haul: Ciracle and CosRX

Just a teaser to let you know what products I will be testing later on this summer!  I am in the middle of testing other facial products for a July review (theYeon and A;T Fox) so I need to finish off some products before starting in on these.   August is usually the worst month EVER out here in the Boston area ~ hot, muggy, steamy and if I am going to break out badly in acne, this is that month.   I am too old for this shit, but my body just loves to produce oil and all of that jazz.

I purchased these at Wishtrend ~ The Centella products were a recommendation from Elya, one of my readers who commented on the CosRX AHA/BHA and Hyaluronic Acid skincare review blog post.  All of the products listed in this haul are linked back to Wishtrend if you wish to read more about them

Ciracle Anti-Blemish TeaTree Wash  This is a facial cleanser that is specifically for clearing up blemishes.   I haven’t done a pH level test yet, but if it is too high, I can use this as a body wash instead.   On occasion, I do get blemishes on my body during the hot, muggy summer months.   I also just love tea tree products and they help with hives and bug bites, which I get in the summer as well.  However, I am hoping this has an acceptable pH level so I can use this as designed ~ for my face.

This not only has tea tree oil in it, which has anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties, but Salix Alba (willow) bark extract.  Willow Bark is a BHA, which helps exfoliate skin by removing dead skin cells and contains salicylic acid, to help combat acne.  It is also high in anti-oxidants, which tone and reduce inflammation as well as being an astringent, to control oil.  Rhus Javanica is Chinese sumac and that is a natural plant extract to help brighten your skin tone and reduce hyper-pigmentation caused by acne and sun damage.     250 mL $20.49

Product Description: Purified light foam enables you to thoroughly cleanse acne spots while treating with healing properties of tea tree. While treating present blemishes, It also works deep in the skin to reduce excess sebum and oils that can cause future acne.  Balance the natural oils in your skin and fade acne pimples while preventing new ones with Ciracle’s tea tree face wash. As you cleanse tea tree face wash, you will both cleansing and hydration. The gentle formula of this cleanser is effective at even removing makeup and excess dirty. It contains a Surfactant with low irritation, working in combination with other ingredients to cleanse and heal your troubled skin.

Remove excess oils while enjoying the calming, cooling and anti-bacterial effects of tea tree oil. Acne is often caused by the excessive amount of oil on your skin which can create the acne causing bacteria. Start treating your skin with proper care! Clear excess oils, dead skin cells and bacteria from your skin and start the healing process. Fun fact, as your skins temperature rises even by just one degree, your skins sebum creation increase by 10~20%. Tea tree face wash helps cool the skin while controlling excess oils. It cleanses out the pores while still maintain your skins natural moisture levels.

I am really digging the CosRX product line and went with the Centella kit for acne and also a BHA product, as I had such wonderful success with the AHA/BHA toner from CosRX.  I love that CosRX has just a few ingredients, I can pronounce them and they are natural.

I purchased these next two items in a kit, but you can also purchase them separately.  The kit is $34.64 so that will save you a few dollars if you want both items.

Centella Asiatica is a common herbal ingredient that is used medicinally to help speed up wound healing, such as blemishes and skin rashes.  It also helps minimize the appearance of pores, and since it stimulates collagen production, it will make your skin more supple and firm.

CosRX Natural BHA Skin Returning A-Sol  pH level 4.30  This has 60% of black bee propolis extract, which is a miracle worker for those with irritated skin, as it soothes and calms, while hydrating your skin.   I love my AHA/BHA toner, and was looking for more of a serum product to help control my sebum and to mattify my skin.   Even though this serum is marketed as a BHA (beta hydroxy acid) due to its betaine salicylate, it also is an AHA (alpha hydroxy acid), as it does contain lactic acid and glycolic acid.   AHA/BHA products will help unclog pores and remove dead skin cells.   Cassia Obtusifolia is a legume (sicklepod) and fights topical infections as it is an anti-fungal.  This product is supposed to be non-drying to the skin as well. This product contains no parabens, artificial colors, artificial fragrances, trethanolamine or phthalate.  100 mL $14.67

  1. Ah, how well I remember late July/early August when I lived in an unairconditioned apartment in Waltham. It would be too hot to sleep, so I would wet a towel and put it over me with the fan blowing. Good times.

I’ll be interested to hear how the BHA Skin Returning A-Sol works. I’ve been using a BHA lotion from Paula’s Choice, which I like okay.
