I’m back with some more sheet masks reviews! These masks are ones that I used over in the last couple of months or so, and have posted them originally at Instagram. I know that searching on IG is worthless, which is why I try to repost my mini reviews once I get a fair amount of them to warrant a blog post. The name of each mask is linked to where this mask can be purchased. This blog post contains affiliate links and some masks might be press samples, which I will disclose in the mini review.
Seoul Mamas Revitalizing Mask Seoul Mamas is an indie company, located in St Louis, but their masks are made in South Korea. The founder, Geri, has 4 children all adopted from Korea and she is also an adopted child.. from Korea. Full circle, right? Her mission is to curate beauty products to help pamper and nourish our skin. Seoul Mamas reached out to me to see if I would like to try their new Revitalizing sheet mask and I said yes, as I am always on a mission to support indie women owned businesses.
The mask sheet is made from 100% bamboo material and contains antioxidant ingredients like caviar, apple and wild cherry, with soothing chamomile and moisturizing hyaluronic acid. There are also a couple of anti-aging peptides as well as gold and it is paraben and sulfate free. The packaging is simple, but beautiful with a waterfall of red, blue, pink colors. The mask sheet itself is drenched in essence and it really doesn’t have much of a scent. The sheet mask runs really on the small side ~ I couldn’t cover all of my forehead or the sides of my face. The end of my nose wasn’t covered well and the strip between the nose and upper lip was thin. I have a larger face than most, so I am sure this mask will fit fine on smaller faces ~ it is just for me, the fit wasn’t that good. It was lucky for me that there was enough essence in the bag that I could pat on my skin where the mask didn’t quite cover. I left this mask on for 40 minutes and removed ~ I will say this is a mask for the night time. It leaves my skin slightly tacky and very dewy, which isn’t the look I am going for in the morning and trying to apply makeup!! In fact, I waited a good hour for the essence to stop being sticky on my face before applying my night time skincare products. However, this mask really left my skin very soft, very moisturized and my fine lines and wrinkles were plumped up, less noticeable. Two thumbs up for Seoul Mamas mask ~ maybe offer it in a larger size too?
Ingredients: water, glycerin, dipropylene glycol, alcohol, butylene glycol, paeonia suffruticosa root extract, centella asiatica extract, 1,2-hexanediol, chamoilla recutita (matricaria) flower extract, glyceryl caprylate, ethyhexylglycerin, sodium hyaluronate, phenoxyethanol, dimethicone, PEG-60 hydrogenated castor oil, caviar extract, carbomer, xanthan gum, potassium hydroxide, allantoin, panthenol, disodium EDTA, fragrance, ethoxydiglycol, pyrus malus(apple) fruit extract, prunus serotina (wild cherry) fruit extract, caprylyl glycol, acetyl hexapeptide-8, palmitoyl tripepetide-5, gold cosDNA analysis
Nature Republic Lotus Real Fresh Mask I love the packaging on this one! This contains 10,000ppm of aloe vera and 1,000ppm of Haenam lotus extracts and it is a moisturizing mask. The mask is made from 100% cotton and it is very gelatinous when I remove it from the package. This has a thick jelly essence, and the mask is dripping in it ~ it isn’t as thick as the I’m Sorry masks, but pretty close to it. Scent ~ didn’t notice. The fit is okay ~ lots of space between the nose and mouth area and the eye area was larger than usual. After I removed the mask after wearing for 40 minutes, my face was a sticky delight! The essence was very tacky and sat on my skin. As I wasn’t going anywhere on Friday, I just waited and waited for the essence to dry. It took about an hour before I felt that my skin had absorbed the essence, but I did feel like there was a film on my skin. I left it on and I have to say, by the end of the day, when I removed my makeup and everything, my skin was still very soft and moisturized. This mask is better as a mask you do before bedtime. It is too rich for a day time mask. But two thumbs up for this one! If you are interested in the Innisfree Real Grapefruit Mask review, it is here.
Description: Lotus flower extract provides rich moisture, while the soft mask sheet smoothens and softens the skin as it closely adheres. Moisturizing and soothing mask sheet with Lotus extracts(1,000ppm of Haenam lotus) helps retain moisture and goes deep into the skin to create a moist and soft complexion. About this series of cotton sheets: This cotton mask sheet made with long fiber of 100% cotton seed linter is soaked in the real fresh essence
Ingredients: water, butylene glycol, aloe barbadensis leaf water (10,000ppm), glycerin, PEG/PPG-17/6 copolymer, niacinamide, alcohol, glycereth-26, citrus paradisi (grapefruit) fruit extract, hydroxyethyl acrylate/sodium acryloyldimethyl, taurate copolymer, PEG-60 hydrogenated castor oil, xanthan gum, ethylhexylglycerin, nelulmbo nucifera root extract (500ppm), nelumbo nucifera flower extract (500ppm), glyceryl polyacrylate, panthenol, natto gum, sodium hyaluronate, cymbopogon schoenathus extract, aspalathus linearis extract, prunus perisica (peach) fruit extract, disodium EDTA, phenoxyethanol, fragrance cosDNA analysis
My Scheming Cactus Essence Hydrating Black Mask After last night’s fiasco with the Inoface modeling cup, my face was still raw & irritated this morning. So, I decided to try this mask from My Scheming. This black mask is made from fibers extracted from Moso Bamboos found in Taiwan. It is full of essence, made with prickly pear (cactus), aloe vera, sodium hyaluronate ~ full of hydrating, soothing and moisturizing ingredients. The scent is a bit floral, but nothing strong ~ it is fresh and I do like it. The fit is decent and while I am wearing it, my face is feels cool. I removed this after 40 minutes (the mask was still damp) and my skin was so refreshed and hydrated. My skin didn’t hurt anymore and I think this mask is just what I needed! No sticky residue or tacky feeling, just nice bright, refreshed and soothed skin! I got my mask at Beautius ~ see my Discount page for savings at this store.
Ingredients: water, glycerin, butylene glycol, hydroxyethyl urea, chondrus crispus (carrageenan), aloe barbadensis leaf juice, hydroxyethyl ethylcellulose, niacinamide, sodium hyaluronate, xanthan gum, cestrum latifolium leaf extract, PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil, opuntia ficus-indica stem extract, arginine, iodopropynyl butylcarbamate, methlisothiazolinone, fragrance cosDNA analysis
Take-Out Spa My Coco Bottle Mask You might ask yourself why I look like I have been sucking on lemons! And that would be a good question to ask. I am no beauty queen and I hate taking selfies. I do it because I know how much the AB Community likes to see the fit of a mask on a real person, so the things I suffer thru!! hahaha Anyway, despite my half-assed look here, this mask is actually quite nice. I received in my latest MaskGenie pouch and I have used Take-Out Spa’s body gels, which I really enjoyed during the summer time. This is the first facial sheet mask I have tried by this brand and it is a coconut one ~ it does not smell like coconut ~ but then again, coconut water doesn’t smell much like coconut either. This has the hydrating and moisturizing coconut water and coconut juice and it also has sodium hyaluronate, so this is a water bomb. The mask is pretty wet but there isn’t that much essence left over in the bag. The fit is fairly decent as well, I could use more coverage on the sides of my nose, but I always complain about that area never being covered with masks. The sheet mask itself is thin, but not too thin and it adheres to my face well, initially. As it dries out, the mask pulls away from my face in places. I did remove it after 25 minutes and the essence was a bit sticky at first, but then it was absorbed into my face. This mask did leave my face feeling very moist and hydrated, without a greasy feeling and my skin looked brighter too! I would love to try more from this line as I do like the ingredients and how this mask performed. Have you tried any masks from Take-Out Spa? What did you think of it?
Ingredients: purified water, glycerin, glycereth-26, butylene glycol, coconut water, cocos nucifera fruit juice, sodium hyaluronate, trehalose, betaine, erythritol, PEG/PPG-17/6 copolymer, PEG-60 hydrogenated castor oil, xanthan gum, allantoin, PEG-14M, carbomer, triethanolamine, hydroxiethyl urea, tocopheryl acetate, disodium EDTA, ethylhexylglycerin, phenoxyethanol, fragrance cosDNA analysis
Shray Ms. Amazing Mask I received this mask from 0.8L USA for review. This overpriced and overhyped mask comes in a cute paper envelope that has drawings inside and then you get the mask packet. The mask sheet is made from natural wood pulp that is very thin ~ it is confusing as I am not sure if this is a USA brand or a Taiwanese brand ~ the mask is made in Taiwan, but the company is from the USA. Ms Amazing is a hyaluronic mask, so it is a very hydrating mask ~ the sheet is drenched in essence and I cannot detect a scent, although I have read that some people claim it has a fruit scent. It has rice extracts to help tighten pores and control oil and kava-kava to help lock in water. This does come with a plastic protecting sheet, to help apply the mask, but then Shray did something dumb and stupid with such a thin mask ~ they split the mask at the chin and above the lip strip area. This makes applying and positioning the mask very difficult. I fiddled with it for over 5 minutes to position this mask and then gave up. I tore the mask at other places as the fit keep pulling one way as I adjusted the lower half. What a waste ~ you don’t have to split the mask like this ~ just add cuts into the mask and let people adjust it that way ~ a total split means it will start hanging off your face as the mask dries. Sigh. Outside of some ingredients near the end of the list ~ gluconic acid, sutilains, beta-carotene ~ I didn’t find the ingredients list to be special at all. And I laughed when Shray made a big deal of WATER being an ingredient ~ not even special water, like mineral or glacier ~ just “pure water”. So how did it perform? It was hydrating. It helped add moisture back into my face. I can get this from any decent HA mask ~ Etude House makes a really good inexpensive one. These masks retail for $6.00 each. Overpriced and overhyped is right. Get rid of the splits in the mask and cut the mask price by at least 50% and then it is a decent mask.
Ingredients: Pure Water, Butylene Glycol, Glyceryl Polymethacrylate, Hydroxyethyl Urea, Oryza Sativa(Rice) Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Piper Methysticum (kava-kava) Extract, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Dithiaoctanediol, Gluconic Acid, Sutilains, Beta-Carotene, Tocopherol Acetate, DMDM Hydrantion, Iodopropynyl Butylcabamate, Perfume cosDNA analysis
Peach & Lily ☀️☀️ Good Skin Day 💦💦 Drench + Nourish Mask Peach & Lily created their own brand of facial sheet masks ~ they have 3 types ~ and I purchased these during Black Friday week. I actually did this mask almost a week ago, but I am now just getting around to writing my mini review! This mask has chia seed, aloe vera and hyaluronic acid, all which are powerful hydrators and will help drench your skin in moisture. It also has centella asiatica whose herbal properties help heal skin. Lemon peel is a great ingredient for oily, blemish prone skin as it purifies, and soybean and ceramides are powerful anti-aging ingredients. The mask is pretty wet with a watery essence and I didn’t notice any scent. The fit is pretty darn good and in fact, it runs on the larger side ~ the sheet mask is very thin, but strong. I was able to leave this mask on for 40 minutes ~ after removing, my face was wet with essence, but it was not tacky or sticky. The dry down occurred within a few minutes and my face not only felt refreshed and hydrated, my skin felt cool and soothed. I really like this mask a lot – but wow, pricey at $6.00 for a cotton sheet mask.

AM Piggy Head Ali Shan Green Tea Purifying Facial Mask (Taiwan) So, I think all of these AM Piggy Head (LOVE THE NAME) masks are named for famous teas ~ Ali Shan is an alpine green oolong tea from Taiwan ~ yet there is no tea in this mask. This does have lavender and chamomile for a healing and soothing mask with anti-inflammatory benefits as well as grapefruit and witch hazel to help detox, cleanse and clean your skin, while tightening pores. This has no scent and the sheet mask material is very thin, adheres really well ~ the cuts in the mask are strategically placed and work well for a great fit. This felt very cool on my skin. There is a lot of watery essence and I was able to leave it on for 40 minutes. My face was initially wet when I removed the mask, but the essence dried down quickly, leaving my face visibly brighter overall and very refreshed. No dewiness, just hydrated! two thumbs up for these masks from AM Piggy Head. I purchased this from Beautibi

The Lotus Pure Jeju Step 1 Exfoliation Mask I am really enjoying lotus extracts in my skin care ~ they are soothing and brightening, while clarifying your skin tone and is anti-aging due to all of its antioxidant properties. The Lotus Pure Jeju is a newish skin care line from Korea and they specialize in …lotus skincare (of course!) I purchased their 3 piece mask set during Black Friday as it was 40% off. This 3 piece set is supposed to be used in the following order: Exfoliation, Skin Soothing+Whitening and Skin Moisturization+Wrinkle Treatment (cream type). I am assuming that the 1st 2 masks are watery ones as the last step specifically states cream type. These rayon mask sheets are a light pink-peach in color due to the Benitsubaki (Red Camellia) oil that is mixed into the sheet. Camilla seed oil is very moisturizing and the sheet itself is antibiotic, helping prevent acne.
The mask fits really well on my face and there is a lot of slightly bitter scented watery essence in the bag ~ and I mean a lot! The exfoliation mask has lactic acid, which is an AHA that will gently .. exfoliate your skin, removing dead skin cells, excess oil and unclogging pores. Even after I splashed the excess essence on the mask, this mask did dry out very quickly ~ you can even see in the photo that it was already drying around the edges of my face when I took this photo (I normally take sheet mask photos within a couple of minutes after I put it on) After 15 minutes, I removed the mask and I didn’t really see any difference with it. My face was a bit sticky with the essence, which was surprising as it was so watery, but I didn’t see or feel any difference on my face. This is an $8.00 mask, so it better act like one. I hope that the other 2 masks are better, as I did have such high hopes with this brand after reading so many great reviews. Have you tried these masks yet? What did you think of them? I will say they have really beautiful packaging!
Description: Light-Pink Natural Rayon Sheet Containing Red Camellia Oil. This outstanding mask sheet has oil extracted from Benitsubaki (-Red Camellia) see directly mixed into the rayon. It is very soft, causes no irritation to the skin, and easily applies to the skin. The sheet contains a sufficient amount of oleate and camellia seed oil, which has skin high moisturizing effects, and therefore creates a layer of moisture and shine shine balancing the moisture of the skin. As a light-pink sheet, it applies naturally to the skin without standing out. The sheet has outstanding antibiotic effects, which helps prevent the proliferation of acne bacteria. STEP 1. Exfoliation: This mask pack, with its home-spa concept, contains peeling ingredients used by professional skin care centers. This softens the skin and shortens the cycle of dead skin cells without having to scrub the skin with particles. The melts the dead skin cells – this is normal. If the skin continues to prickle and feel irritated, remove the mask, lightly tap the skin, and wash with lukewarm water.
Ingredients: water, nelumbo nucifera (lotus) leaf extract, lactic acid, 1,3-butylene glycol, glycerin, 1,2-hexanediol, green tea extract, tangerine blossom extract, PEG-60 hydrogenated castor oil, sodium hyaluronate, carbomer, allantoin, disodium EDTA, tocopherol, D-panthenol, triethanolamine, bergamot oil, , scented geranium blossom oil, lemon oil, mandarin oil cosDNA analysis
Mitomo Aloe & Cherry Blossoms Essence Mask (Japan) I purchased a lot of Mitomo masks from @japanskin a few weeks ago and I am just starting to use them. I chose the aloe & cherry blossom one has I needed a soothing mask ~ this has cherry blossoms (sakura) which is an anti-oxidant known for its skin repairing properties and aloe vera, which is intensely hydrating and soothing ~ helping to reduce inflammation. Mitomo uses natural cotton for its sheet masks. This maks is thicker than Korean or Taiwanese brands, but it is very soft and plush. The essence, for a lack of a better word, is slimy and there is a ton of it on the mask. That slimy texture made it difficult to position the mask initially and it did take me a few tries to get it on properly. But once I got it in place, that mask stayed put! There is a light floral fragrance (cherry blossoms?? IDK) but it disappears quickly. This mask has a nice cooling effect and I was able to leave it on for about 40 minutes and it was still damp. My skin felt hydrated, refreshed, my pores looked a bit smaller and my face looked brighter. I do like this mask a lot and I believe this is the first Japanese mask in a long time that I really like (the last one was the Melano CC masks in a tub) Have you tried any Mitomo masks? Wish Formula The Bat Eye Mask with Centella Honey Fermented Essence ~ I guess I had applied to Jolse’s Wish Formula blogger review program! I received this item + some more, which I will review on my IG feed. This is Wish Formula’s eye patches, made with fermented honey to help soothe and nourish your delicate eye area. More fermented goodness in olive, peppermint and clover and this also has vitamin C, which is full of antioxidants which will help brighten your skin. This doesn’t have much of a scent to it and it is pretty wet with essence. I do like how this mask is made ~ the wings all go under your eyes ~ I am not a fan of eye masks that circle my eyes completely. It also covers my nose area very nicely, so my nose will get some TLC as well. To honor my bat wing mask, I decided to also use Banish Pumpkin Enzyme Masque (supplied by Banish) ~ which I have reviewed here. It is wonderful by the way and is better than Naturopathica Pumpkin Purifying Enzyme Peel.
I left the bat eye mask on for 20 minutes and removed. I did notice that my fine lines and wrinkles were very much less noticeable, as this did plump up that area and my under eye area looked brighter. I didn’t notice any firming, but overall, I did enjoy using this as I did get some positive benefits. As always, masks are a temporary solution, but this is great for when you need to look your best! Have you tried this mask yet from Wish Formula? I like this one better than their mistletoe version, Panda Eye Essence Mask.
Description: Vitamin C, adenosine, centella and fermented honey in the mask essence provide Anti-wrinkle & Anti-aging effect on the Bat Eye-Zone. Anti-wrinkle effect on the Eye areas, center of the forehead and around the nose. Leaders Wrinkle-Tox First Ampoule Sheet Mask (Anti-aging) I am not a fan of Leaders Coconut masks or hydrogels, but I do love their normal sheet masks. I have been looking to try their First Ampoule masks for a while now and I purchased this 4 mask set at Memebox, which includes the Aquaringer, Mela-Tox, Snail Therapy and this one, Wrinkle-Tox First Ampoule masks. This set is still available at Memebox, btw. The First Ampoule sheet masks are made with a biodegradable cellulose sheet, which looks to have a real open weave and they come in this cool test tube. Just open up the tube and there is a spindle where you just pull out and the mask is wrapped around it. This mask is very yellowish in color and it did throw my photo off a bit there. There is a lot of essence (which seems to be scentless) and about a teaspoon of it left in the tube, which I place over the mask once I get it in place. The fit is pretty decent and covers the important bits, with the normal lack of coverage between the upper lip and nose. There are 3 different types of anti-aging peptides and the star ingredient is rosemary extract, which is an anti-inflammatory and will help reduce swelling and redness. This also has glycerin and sodium hyaluronate for hydrating and plumping up your skin. I was able to leave this on for about 40 minutes and the usual suspect areas dried out first (the aforementioned nose & lip strip and forehead area). I removed it and my face felt more hydrated and soft. It helped reduce redness as well ~ the meds I am on is causing my face to flush and I also loved how cooling and soothing this mask is. It also plumped up fine lines and wrinkles too. I really enjoyed this mask from Leaders (and I did purchase another set from Memebox as I have the feeling I want to continue using these masks!) Have you tried the First Ampoule masks from Leaders yet? What did you think of them? I still have 3 to go!
Description: The Wrinkle-Tox Mask is soaked in ampoule formulated with anti-inflammatory Rosemary Extract to help minimize the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. 23.5°N Red Pearl Barley Whitening Ultra-Feather Mask (Taiwan) I received this mask from Beautibi for review purposes. So, I should mention who 23.5°N are and what they do not include in their products. 23.5°N actually stands for the Tropic of Cancer (23.4371°) and it is the most northerly circle of latitude of the Earth where the sun can be directly above. It is also known as the Northern Tropic and it passes thru 16 countries around the earth, most of which are dry and arid (wiki) One of the exceptions is Taiwan, known as “The Magical Green Belt of the Tropic” and it has a abundant rainfall and vegetation on this “blessing island“. 23.5°N is a natural brand, and is free from artificial coloring, fragrance, alcohol, parabens, SLS, SLES, mineral surfactant. It also doesn’t contain the 1,371 ingredients that are against the law in the EU and they do not conduct animal testing and are cruelty free.
This mask has the same ingredients as their jelly, so it as the same type of benefits, brightening your skin tone, while nourishing your skin. This mask has an ultra thin and invisible sheet to help better adhere to your face. Sorry for the demonic photo above ~ lol ~ my brows decided to have a conversation with my camera. I did find that this mask was uber thin and it came with a plastic (pearl) paper to help keep its shape as well as ease of application. The fit was huge! This is a mask that bigger faces can use and even on my huge face, it was big ~ you can see the bagging around the jawline and also how far it went up and over my forehead’s hairline. But I was thrilled to have ample coverage ~ a lot of sheet masks are made for slimmer and narrower faces than mine. This was soaked in essence and I didn’t really notice a scent. I was able to leave this on for about 35 minutes as it did dry out quickly due to its thin sheet. Once I removed it, I noticed that my face looked very refreshed, more brighter in skintone and my pores looked smaller. My skin was very hydrated and there was no tacky residue on my face. I really loved this mask!

Labiotte FrenIQ Turn Over Soothing First Mask (Korea) This has quite a bit of an ingredient that is prefixed with xylit ~ xylitylglucoside, anhydroxylitol and xylitol glucose ~ these are sugars that help retain moisture and also aid in boosting hylauronic acid. It can aid in collagen production, increase ceramide production and also improve your skin’s barrier. I was looking forward to using this mask as I love the Labiotte Lotus line and am eager to try out more from this brand. The scent is a slightly sweet fruity-floral scent, but nothing overpowering. This is a very wet mask and the sheet is gelatinous because it is so wet. The essence is a bit thicker than water, but it is a “watery” type. I liked that this sheet mask is thinner than most Korean masks, and it did have a plastic pearl paper to protect the form and to help apply it to your face. This is very hydrating and my face is quite moist, but not sticky. I didn’t notice any reduction in redness or swelling however, so I am not sure how soothing this was. However, the moisture level of this mask is really intense and I do not think I want to use it again, as I feel it is too much for my skin type. However, if you have dry skin, this mask might be perfect for you.
Description: The ermergent soothing first mask containing tripe aqua seal ingredients delivers the first-step skin boosting effect to skin as the clear sheet adhers to skin

Thanks for the reviews dear, especially for the Mitomo one! It was a great round up. Even though I wouldn’t say that IG search on certain things is worthless – I’ve found loads of inspiration and good tips on products over there, but of course you’re able to produce much more useful information in a blog post, since you’re not limited to a number of icons.

IG is great for inspiration – I agree! But sometimes I have the hardest time finding good reviews on products.
