October 2016 Peaches & Petals Unboxing + Promo Code

I love fall time ~ subscription boxes seem to hit their stride and give us the most fun and wonderful products.  At least that is how I view it 🙂   I’ve been haunting my mailbox for the last few days, as I saw some unboxings on IG and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this month’s box!  Peaches & Petals is a subscription service that is focused on lifestyle and beauty products.  From their website  “Experience our world of fun, flirty and fashionable vintage-modern lifestyle in a hand-curated box delivered to you each month”  This box was sent to me for review purposes from Peaches & Petals and I thank them for their generosity as always 🙂  I am always appreciative of companies who look for honest feedback on their services.

Informational Card

The October 2016 theme is “Pumpkin Spice & Everything Nice” and there was no spoiler, but based on the theme, there was bound to be a pumpkin product in here!

Explanation on valuing products:  Since Peaches & Petals does not give a value on their products,  I normally will use the Retail Value from the vendor’s site or an average if I find the product on multiple sites with varying prices.  Subscription boxes are usually basing their value on Retail Value, not Markdown or Sale Values.  With that in mind, you can usually find products for less, just like anything else in the marketplace.

Cozy Scarf  Yes!!  This is more of a shawl as it is triangular in shape, but this is so soft and ..well..COZY.  This scarf had color variations and I was lusting after this Tartan plaid one and I did get it!   The colors range from a cream, orange, red, black, blues, green and yellow.  It has a little fringe on two of the sides with one side being flat and finished off.   It probably is made from acrylic as it is so soft.  I lost my measuring tape (oy!! Have to purchase one now) so I couldn’t do exact measurements by it looks to be 98 x 48 x 48 inches.  It is quite large but since the weave is open, it is very light weight and not bulky.  I couldn’t find the exact scarf, but there is one very similar on etsy, so I used that link and value here.  I love, love love this scarf ~ last year, Peaches and Petals gave us a nice soft scarf and I still wear it.  RV $16.00

Mornin’ Pumpkin! Travel Mug  I always can use another travel mug as I leave them in my car or at the office so when I need to have a coffee on the way to work, there isn’t one IN MY HOME.  It is somewhere else! ahaha At some point & time, I do go around collecting my mugs, washing and storing them, but I do run a shortage until then. This one is really nicely made ~ it is lightweight BPA-free plastic with a black background and the sun and the words “Mornin’ Pumpkin” on the front.  What I REALLY like about this mug is the lid.

One side has angled sip lid so that the coffee doesn’t come pouring out and spilling everywhere, but pours nicely into your mouth.    The top of the lid is also easy to slide ~ some travel mugs, I have to use both hands to wrestle that thing open, but not with this one ~ I can use one hand.   Very nice!  This mug is about 8 inches in height. I couldn’t find this mug online, so I will estimate it to be around $10.00

Bay Point Candles Pumpkin Pie  Here is our pumpkin!  And yes, this candle smells just like a sweet and spicy pumpkin pie ~ this candle doesn’t hold back in its scent.  This came in a lovely striped box and the candle is in a glass mason jam jar with a screw off metal lid.  It has a nice burlap bow around the neck of the jar.  The candle is a beautiful deep golden-orange color, very festive.  These candles are poured in the USA and Bay Point is a company from Colorado.  This is a 4 oz candle and based on Bay Point Candles found at Amazon, I am going to retail this at around $14.00.  The presentation on this candle is so cute and well done.

Karmin Creations Mandalas Color-A-Puzzle (Teal Box) I really like this!  This will be my project when the snow starts coming down.  Thankfully, this is only a 100 piece puzzle as I sucked at puzzles as a child and still do as an adult.  The finished puzzle will measure 10 x 8 inches and once you complete it, you color it!

How cool is that?  I will pick up a wooden frame (or make one ~ it is easy) with a backing and then place this in there with sticky glue.  This eco-friendly puzzle is made from 90%  or more recycled materials and printed with vegetable based inks.  There is a variation of the designs you can get as well.   My only complaint is the box ~ there was no opening, so I basically torn it open and now I have to find a box for my puzzle pieces until I start this ;D  RV $10.99

Fannie May Pixies  I am very familiar with Fannie May chocolates ~ growing up in Michigan, they were so popular. There were two types of Fannie May chocolate treats we could get in this month’s box ~  Trinidads, which is a chocolate buttercream with coconut and Pixies, which I know as Turtles!  It has pecans, caramel and rich milk chocolate.  The Pixie was created in 1946 and it is one of Fannie May’s best sellers ~ in fact, there are tons of copy-cat recipes out there for this treat.  I already ate this while writing my review ~ haha.  Now, if you got the Trinidads, there was a problem with them melting  ~ so Peaches and Petals has send out an email on these ~ don’t eat them, just email them for a replacement item.  The Pixies were not affected and it was yummy.  1.5 oz RV $1.39

Ingredients: Milk Chocolate (Sugar, Cocoa Butter, Chocolate Liqour, Milk, Whole Milk Powder, Soy Lecithin (an Emulsifier), Vanilla Extract), Sweetened Condensed Milk (Milk, Sugar and Skim Milk), Corn Syrup, Pecans, Salted Butter (Cream, Salt), Granulated Sugar, Partially Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil (Cottonseed, Soybean), Water, Pure Vanilla Extract, Salt

This  month is absolutely my favorite Peaches and Petals Box! I love every item in here ~ no dud in sight!!  I hope Peaches and Petals does more boxes like this one, because whoever curated it really knew their stuff.   Peaches & Petals monthly subscription boxes are $19.99 a month and that includes shipping.   This month, the box looks to be of  a retail value about $52.00 in retail value.  Many thanks to Miranda for sending me this box to review ~ I always look forward to seeing what P&P puts in their boxes and this month was just lovely. Did you receive this month’s Peaches & Petals box?  What was your favorite item and what do you think of it?  I have to say that the candle and scarf are my favorites.

If you subscribe to Peaches and Petals currently, you could win a $100.00 Wayfair gift card by posting a photo of your unboxing ~ see below on the rules.

November’s Theme is another winner!   Campfires & Cuddles ~ ohhhh, maybe some socks?  Cookies?  More cozy goodness?

These codes are only valid on the monthly subscription option and will not work on a 3, 6 or 12 month option at Peaches and Petals.
