August 2016 Peaches & Petals Unboxing + Promo Code

Peaches & Petals is a subscription service that is focused on lifestyle and beauty products. From their website “Experience our world of fun, flirty and fashionable vintage-modern lifestyle in a hand-curated box delivered to you each month. ” This box was sent to me for review purposes from Peaches & Petals and I thank them for their generosity as always 🙂 I am always appreciative of companies who look for honest feedback on their services.

Informational Card

The August 2016 theme is “Thank You For Being A Friend” and there were no spoilers for this month.

5-Pack Note Cards featuring The Golden Girls with the inscription “Thank You For Being a Friend” These look to be a Peaches & Petals exclusive as when I looked at the back of the card, it had the Peaches logo. I was never a fan of The Golden Girls, but my mom is a HUGE fan, so I will gift these to her ~ she will love them. I know that The Golden Girls is a huge favorite among a lot of people, but if I had to pick a buddy-girl series from that time that I liked, it would be Designing Women and then later on, and much more my style, the wacky-bad codependent relationship of Edina and Patsy in Ab Fab ~ haha.

But that is just me! These look to be a very good quality and it includes envelopes as well. RV $10.00

Inspirational Decal Mine has the saying “It’s Not What We Have in Life, But Who We Have In Our Life That Matters” on a pink and yellow watercolor type background. RV $1.00

Funky Tech Kitty Kat 2-Port Splitters by DCI This is really cute! I love it ~ I don’t wear headphones as a rule, but I know that I have needed on occasion to use a splitter. You can listen to one device that has a 3.5 mm headphone port with two sets of headphones ~ I should be able to use this with MP3 players, cell phones, PDA, iPads, gaming systems and laptops. This has a chain on it too, so I can attach this to my key chain ~ it has a little black cover over the port so it stays protected. This is awesomely adorable!! RV $7.25

Friendship “Anchor” Necklace This is a very dainty and delicate gold-tone necklace that that features a smooth 9.3 mm anchor, that represents the influencing nature of good friends, who are with us, thru calm seas and rough waters. The chain is 18 inches and it is adjustable with a lobster claw clasp. My original unboxing was based on the brand name on the card and its value and since then, Peaches and Petals wanted to make sure that we knew that there was a problem with the branding on the informational card that came with the necklace. This was a mistake on the part of supplier who had incorrectly marked them as from another brand. This necklace is not associated with the brand name that was with the necklace. Peaches and Petals states that this necklace is not more than $9.99, but I did find a similar one that was $19.99. This is not my style, but it will be a nice gift to give someone RV $9.99 to $19.99

Demdeco Lyricology “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” Trinket Box This is my Friendship Surprise item. I LOVE this SONG. It brings back such memories

Oh girls they want to have fun

This is a 4 x 4 inch cube in orange and red, like Cyndi’s hair 😉 ~ its interior is painted black. This is a nice catch all box to put little things in it ~ skincare samples, earrings, that kinda of stuff. This is one of my favorite items this month 🙂 I couldn’t find the exact item, but similar ones retail for about $15.00

Manna Kadar Radiance Split Pan Bronzer & Highlighter This is actually a brand new product from Manna Kadar ~ it was just released this summer. This was slightly damaged as I think that my trinket box kinda smashed into it a bit. This version has a flip top lid, instead of the screw off, which I have originally ~ I like the flip top better. I guess Manna Kadar made two versions of this product, one with a screw lid and another with a flip top, as my research does show that other beauty boxes received this with a flip top. I already own it so I will repeat my review on this product here.

I am not a fan of shimmery bronzers, but I love these colors as eye shadows! The bronzer is a pretty shimmery golden brown and the highligher is a light peachy shimmery. These colors are very pigmented and very smooth to apply. These are shimmers, not glitters as there are no huge chunks ~ not that much fall out here either! You can foil these as well, by damping a brush and then picking up the product ~ this will give the color a deep metallic finish. This bronzer/highligher is paraben free, cruelty free and allergy tested. Full Size RV $21.00

Even though not all of the items in this months box were my style, this was a good box this month. As Manna Kadar 3-in-1 pan is new and the colors are beautiful. My favorite items are the splitter (love that black kitty-kat) and the trinket box, as I love that song. My only complaint this month is that if a heavy item such as the box is floating around with a delicate item like the Manna Kadar item, perhaps taking care to wrap the delicate item and store it inside of the box. I was sad to see it damaged. I do like how Peaches & Petals reached out to their customers and reviewers quickly about the issue with the necklace and that makes for great customer service. Peaches & Petals monthly subscription boxes are $19.99 a month and that includes shipping. This month, the box looks to be of a retail value of between $64.00 and $74.00, depending if you go with the low value of the necklace at $9.99 or the higher value of $19.99.
