Chinese Medicine Four Substance Formula Mask This is the first of the 2 Chinese Medicine masks that Beautibi sent me and this as an herbal scent ~ not bad or anything, but it does remind me of some spices in my kitchen cupboard!! I don’t know why it talks about rose in the description, as it isn’t an ingredient in the list.
Description: Using Chinese ingredients and formulas, the Chinese Medicine Series is great for people who enjoy herbal remedies to hydrate, repair and protect the skin. Red jujube is excellent for nourishing blood. Angelicae Radix helps to remove speckle. Radix Rehmanniae Preparata relieves irritated skin. Rose moisturizes skin cells. Red jujubes can supplement and adjust the qi and blood. Angelica root can remove dark spots from the skin. Processed rehmannia has a cooling nature and is good for water balance. Rose nourishes the qi. The four substances together can revive the skin, and make the skin moist and glowing, creating a beautiful complexion.
This mask was very moist and soaked with essence ~ I am discovering that all of MasKingdom masks that I have tried are like this ~ the fit is fantastic and the mask sheet is smooth to touch. I left this mask on for 40 minutes, and only the chin area was dried out when I removed it. Moisture level readings about 2 minutes after removing mask were almost 60 and my face felt brighter, looked refreshed and moisturized. Even an hour later, my face was still “glowing” but it was not oily or greasy, just the shine of natural skin oils and moisture coming thru! I really loved how these masks feel and I am already converted to Taiwan masks ~ I’ve been saying it for a while now ~ well over 5 months, but I want to say it loud and proud ~ they kick K-Beauty facial sheet masks to the curb!!

Metropolitan Series ~ Masque Revitalsant Hahah, yes that is Liza Minelli as Sally Bowles from Cabaret. The second I saw this mask with its sassy lady on the package, I thought of this movie
You have to understand the way I am, mein herr. A tiger is a tiger, not a lamb, mein herr. You’ll never turn the vinegar to jam, mein herr. So I do what I do, When I’m through, then I’m through. and I’m through
This is an all purpose facial mask, which basically means it is a good moisturizing, hydrating mask that has brightening and antioxidant ingredients (glycerin, sodium hyaluronate, swiftlet nest extract, licorice extract, tranexamic acid, yeast proteins, horse chestnut, panthenol) ! This mask is so soft and thick with essence, and the fit is amazing (once again) with these MasKingdom masks. It didn’t have much of any scent, but it felt so good on and I left it on for 40 minutes, even though it was still damp when I removed it.
Description: Repairs all aspects of skin problems and gives your skin with brightness, lightness and fair skin. There is a potent herbal soothing agent that penetrates the skin and acts from the bottom up to improve the faded look by making the skin firm and elastic. There are also water soluble licorice and peptides from edible bird’s nests; they are wonderful ingredients for soothing, vitalizing and awakening the skin.
My face felt very hydrated and those huge pores that the Ginger Oil Warming Mask caused were closed up (maybe the Ginger Oil product opened my pores up too much?) These MasKingdom series are really fabulous and if you haven’t tried one yet, you should pick one up

Special Recipe Recovery Treatment Mask and bonus mask L’HerbofloreBlack Cherry and Tranexamic Acid Whitening Eye Mask ~ I purchased the eye mask pre-Black Friday, and this is the first time I have tried it. I needed this ~ feeling a bit under the weather right now, so time for some good hydrating masks! I have to say, the artwork on MasKingdom masks are really special. I actually saved these mask envelopes and put them in a scrapbook, as they are so pretty.
MasKingdom Special Recipe Recovery Treatment Mask Description: Repairs skin, prevents aging and dryness, moisturizes and brighten up the skin.
L’Herboflore Black Cherry and Tranexamic Acid Whitening Eye Mask Description: Black Cherry Extract is rich in iron, vitamins A, B and C that can enhance skin elasticity and smoothness. Tranexamic Acid can brighten the skin, giving more luminosity. Trehalose, Hyaluronic Acid and Sodium Hyaluronate enhance skin moisture and provide long-lasting hydration
MasKingdom Special Recipe masks are smooth and silky to touch with 30 mL of a thicker essence that feels very luxurious on my skin. I first put the L’Herboflore eye mask on ~ this is in a butterfly shape, so it is a one piece with a wing over the bridge of my nose. Lots of essence in this eye mask as well and it has a lot of nourishing ingredients: B5 (panthenol), royal jelly, propolis, glycerin, honey and a nice yeasty ferment. I didn’t detect any strong scents with either of these masks and again, a great fit with MasKingdom ~ excuse the poor lighting with my selfie, it is pitch dark outside when I get home and the lighting in my home hasn’t been equipped with floodlights!! haha. But I wanted to show you the fit of this mask, which I think is very excellent. As the essence was drying, my face felt cool, which is a plus, as I wasn’t feeling well at the time I used this mask ~ these really helped me to relax. After 40 minutes, I removed both masks.
My skin and any fine lines were very much plumped up and not noticeable, my skin texture felt soft and smooth & the moisture level was at 60% after 3 minutes. I did feel that my skin tone was brighter and there was no sticky residue on my face. This is not a mattifying mask, as my face looks dewy. The eye mask really smoothed out the wrinkles under my eyes BUT my eyes were a little puffy from all of that hydration!! haha. I think I will have to just use the eye masks alone, instead of placing a sheet mask over it. I think I gave my eye area TOO much moisture. Thankfully, I am not going anywhere, so by the morning, that should go down.
MasKingdom Special Recipe Recovery Treatment Mask Ingredients: aqua, sorbitol, 2-methyl-1,3-propanediol, butylene glycol, biosaccharide gum-1, phenoxyethanol, ethylhexylglycerin, chlorphenesin, panthenol, anthemis nobilis, honey extract, arginine, royal jelly, cyanocobalamin, propolis extract, alpha-arbutin, carboxyvinyl polymer, propylene glycol, saccharomyces/podophyllum peltatum ferment filtrate, glycerin cosDNA.com analysis
L’Herboflore Black Cherry & Tranexamic Acid Whitening Eye Mask Ingredients: aqua, aloe barbadensis leaf extract, citric acid, butylene glycol, glycerin, chondrus crispus (carrageenan), propylene glycol, chamomilla recutita (matricaria) flower extract, hydroxyethylcellulose, isopropyl alcohol, cellulose, mannitol, sodum citrate, acetyl tetrapeptide-15, allantoin, sodium hyaluronate, hyaluronic acid, glucosyl hesperidin, trehalose, prunus serotina (black cherry) fruit extract, tranexamic acid, sodium polystyrene sulfonate, PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil, fragrance, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, sodium sulfite, phenoxyethanol, chlorphenesin, sodium dehydroacetate, sodium acetate, methylisothiazolinone, iodopropynylbutylcarbamate, sorbic acid cosDNA.com analysis
Secret Recipe Deep Pore Cleansing Mask with lemon, nettle, horse chestnut and burdock extracts ~ ingredients which will help absorb oil and purify your skin, acts as an astringent to help tighten the appearance of your pores, help regulate sebum production, soothe skin and leave a matte finish. It also contains hyaluronic acid, which attracts and traps moisture in your skin. I am pretty impressed that there are only 10 ingredients in this mask! The sheet mask is made from Japanese silkworm silk and it is an “invisible mask”, like a second skin ~ and really hugs the contours of my face and is very smooth to the touch. It is not as thin as Lovemore, Annie’s Way or Innisfree Skin Clinic masks, so it won’t tear as easily. I couldn’t get a good selfie as I am a bit tired ~ I will try again with another mask from this collection. The essence is very silky and smooth, not watery, but more rich in its viscosity, and it basically scentless (I couldn’t detect a scent).
There was enough essence to put on my neck & arms as this mask has 30mL of essence. I really loved the feel of the essence, it has a lot slip and a richness to it, without being sticky or heavy. I left this mask on for 45 minutes and my face felt moist but not sticky. Moisture level reading after 2 minutes is at 62%. I will say my face feels really refreshed, looks brighter and after the essence dried on my face, my skin was not shiny, but had a nice satin/matte finish to it.
I purposely did not put any skincare products on my face after I took that mask off for the evening. I just used an eye cream, but when I went to bed, I didn’t do my normal routine, as I wanted to see if the results from the mask still held in the am. When I woke up, my face did not feel dry at all nor did I have a lot of oil around my T-zone area. Really a 2 thumbs up for the Pore Cleansing mask!

Final Thoughts
MasKingdom is a pricey line ~ but the masks themselves are first rate. From the beautiful and sometimes quirky artwork on their packages, ingredients list, soft, silky plush mask material and the benefits of using them, I really enjoyed them. In fact, I did purchase more masks in the Chinese Medicine line, so I hope to get around to reviewing those as well. I still have four more masks that were mentioned here and I will update this blog post as I use them.
What do you think? Are you going to give these masks a try? Have you tried them? Let me know in the comments below!
