January 2017 Peaches & Petals Unboxing + Promo Code

The theme this month is “2017 Brings New Surprises!”   Peaches & Petals is a subscription service that is focused on lifestyle and beauty products.  From their website  “Experience our world of fun, flirty and fashionable vintage-modern lifestyle in a hand-curated box delivered to you each month”  This box was sent to me for review purposes from Peaches & Petals and I thank them for their generosity as always 🙂  I am always appreciative of companies who look for honest feedback on their services.

Informational Card

So, there wasn’t much info on the informational card ~ I guess they really wanted to surprise us! haha Of course, the look on the model’s face is not one of surprise-joy, but surprise-horror….

Explanation on valuing products:  Since Peaches & Petals does not give a value on their products,  I normally will use the Retail Value from the vendor’s site or an average if I find the product on multiple sites with varying prices.  Subscription boxes are usually basing their value on Retail Value, not Markdown or Sale Values.  With that in mind, you can usually find products for less, just like anything else in the marketplace.

Hamilton Beach Screw Top Sports Water Bottle  New Year, New Water Bottle!  I received a cool metallic green and the screw top is really handy to have ~ prevents spills.  This bottle will hold 17 oz and is a double walled stainless steel, vacuum insulated, which will keep your cold drinks cold for 24 hours and hot drinks hot for 12 hours.  It is pretty lightweight, but it is spill and leak proof, with a lifetime guarantee.  It is BPA-free and should only be hand washed.

I find that I can always use a water bottle, as I am trying to be more environmentally friendly and not wasteful with tons of plastic water bottles.  Every little bit counts to help save our planet from needless landfill trash.   RV $14.95

Kenneth Jones Warm Fuzzy Socks  Made from 97% polyester and 3% spandex, these are snuggly soft ankle socks ~ really cozy and warm. I love the color I got as well ~ a beautiful dark purple with black trim.   RV $3.99

So Fresh, So Clean Wet Towelettes  I do use them and these are great to keep at my work desk.  I sometimes (more than I care to admit) eat at my desk at work, and these are great for wiping my fingers clean and also my desk, where I might spill food and stuff.  You can also use these as intended ~ which is to cleanse and remove makeup from your face.  These have chamomile extracts, which is a soothing and calming ingredient.   25 wipes RV $2.99

Ingredients:  Water, Propylene Glycol, Isopropyl Palmitate, Cetyl Palmitate, Glyceryl Stearate, Ceteareth-12, Ceteareth-20, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Glycerin, Polysorbate 20, PEG- 7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Chamomile (Chamomilla Recutita) Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Panthenol, Disodium EDTA, Bisabolol, Citric Acid, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate.

Moon & Back Anahata Joy Kakin for PAPAYA!  This is a really cool set ~ it contains 480 decorative sticky notes, of which I am NOT A STICKY NOTE DECORATOR.  I want to make that clear ~ I do not have a planner where I stick cutesy notes with themes.  That isn’t my thing ~ however, I do use post-it notes A LOT and sometimes, I would like something a bit different.  These come in a nice hard case envelope with a magnetic closure and I love the color scheme ~ it is a taupe, gray and pinks with some light blue-grey ~ it is not too girly or saccharine.

When opened, it looks like a rocket-ship, doesn’t it?  The design is beautiful, trees and leaves in the ranges of pink, with black birds and a big ol’ moon.  The stickers come in different sizes and designs ~ rectangular, square and little strips to use as book marks.  I love the art work as it has so many cool elements  ~ scientific with the moon, nature with birds, trees and leaves and art nouveau.   This is really a cool sticker set and I think this is my favorite item in the box this month!  RV $13.00

Viva Beads Clay Beaded Bracelet in Sea Life  This is really adorable.  These clay beads are handmade  and each one has a marine theme to it ~ turtles, fish, sand dollar, starfish in vibrant aqua, greens, yellows.  Each clay bead is separated by a silver plated bead ~ all metal parts are lead, nickle and cadmium free.  This bracelet is strung on a black stretchy cord and it is easy to wear.

The clay beads are so smooth to the touch and are quite whimsical.  To clean the bracelet, use hot water and laundry detergent to scrub clean with a soft toothbrush and then dry with a cloth.  RV $5.00

Final Thoughts

This wasn’t my favorite box from Peaches & Petals ~ I will use all of the items and the sticky note set is just adorable ~ but, it seems to have lacked cohesion on the theme.  I am not sure what the new surprise was ~ we have received water bottles, socks, jewelry and cleansing wipes before from them ~ maybe the sticky notes?  haha   All of the items are useful or cute, so it isn’t that it is a bad box, just not my favorite one from them.   Peaches & Petals monthly subscription boxes are $19.99 a month and that includes shipping.   This month, the box looks to be of  a retail value almost $40.00 in retail value.  Many thanks to Miranda for sending me this box to review ~ I always look forward to seeing what P&P puts in their boxes! Did you receive this month’s Peaches & Petals box?  What was your favorite item and what do you think of it?

If you subscribe to Peaches and Petals currently, you could win a Keurig Single Serve Coffee Maker in Turquoise by posting a photo of your unboxing ~ see below on the rules.

Next month’s theme is “Made with Love“, so look for hearts and stuff!
