Each Flicker Box contains a variety of artisanal candles made from candle artists from around the United States. This is layered pillar candle and it has 3 waves of colors and scents ~ patchouli in the blue-teal wave, orange in the orange slice and sandalwood makes up the last wave in a brown shade. The scent of this candle is intoxicating ~ like walking into an incense shop. I love this scent and the colors. This is beautiful candle has a textured pebbled surface as well. This candle is hand poured into their own design molds and these pillar candles are “Fragrance Layer” pillar candles ~ with both layers of color and scent, with complimentary fragrances to help create the changing aroma as the candle burns. Illume “Desert Tulip” I love Illume candles ~ their unique tin packaging, based on a retro cake tin, with the “mock” birch labels make these travel candles a great one to gift! But I won’t gift this one ~ This is in Desert Tulip and whereas I am not a floral fan, this scent is so rich and fragrant, that I cannot resist it. This scent is described as “Like a reverie of young love, with a soul sustained on pure hope and heavy heartbeats. A lively bouquet of red tulips, lilies and white tea rose accent this passionate blend of raspberry, Mandarin and musk.” I cannot smell any roses, but I do smell the lily of the valley, tulip, citrus and amber musk. Hawk + Hatchet “Port Angeles” I received a Hawk + Hatchet candle this past January and I loved it! So I am happy to have another scent from them. Port Angeles is actually the name of the northwest port town prior to Vancouver Island on a ferry ride ~ and was the inspiration of this woodsy and earthy scent candle, with sandalwood and patchouli.

This has a sweeter scent to it, and I actually thought that there might be some floral scents in it. It has a very creamy and calming presence and it is just divine! This etsy shop is located in Wisconsin using a soy blend wax, cotton wick and fragrance oils, each candle is hand poured and in small batches. This is their travel tin version. 20 hour burn time. 4 oz RV $9.00
This month was very inspirational to me ~ the scents are strong, but soothing and calming. They are very much scents that I love ~ musks, patchouli, sandalwood ~ and make me want to take some time out in a cabin in the woods! This is a beautiful selection of candles and I love this month and its theme. This box’s value is $37.00 and I paid $34.00 for my box, as I am on a month to month subscription and I am grandfathered in, so my shipping is included in the price tag. For new subscribers, you would pay the additional $5.95 in shipping.
Flickerbox also has a store, where you purchase candles that were featured in their past boxes. They are currently having a big clearance sale and all shipping is flat rated at $2.00 ~ I picked up some more candles in their shop once I saw that shipping rate!!
