Shiseido Tsubaki Extra Moist Shampoo/ Conditioner/Massage Brush   See!  This is why I am excited!  A JAPANESE brand in a Memebox ~ I haven’t seen that ever happen, even when Memebox was global.   I hope this means Memebox is going to branch out with other skincare from other Asian countries!   Shiseido is a premiere brand and I have used some of their skincare products that are available here in the USA.  However, the mundane products, like hand creams and hair care products are usually not found in the department store or Sephora.  If you are lucky, you have an Asian store or mall near you and they will carry these products, but for many people, these are not found in their neighborhood.  Tsubaki is Camellia and this is made with red camellia flower extracts, including fermented camellia seed oil

• Tsubaki (Camellia) Oil contains linoleic fatty acids ~ Omega-6 ~ along with Omega 3 and Omega-9 (oleic fatty acid)  It is also rich with vitamins A, B, D and E and has polyphenols, plant collagen and proteins, along with anti-aging antioxidants.    Camellia will add shine and moisture to your hair and will help repair damage from chemical treatments, such as perms and coloring.  It will also help prevent split ends and hair breakage.

This smells WONDERFUL ~ it is just like the Holika Holika Hair Rinsing Vinegar From Nature – Camellia ~ it is a beautiful floral scent and it isn’t cloying.  The shampoo is a nice silky shampoo that cleanses well (I used it this morning) and it didn’t cause my oily hair to be greasy or weighed down.  The conditioner is thick and really helps de-tangle my fine hair ~ again, no greasy residue ~ just beautiful scented clean hair!   

The massage brush is pretty cool ~ it is used to stimulate your scalp, promoting your blood to circulate to your scalp and encouraging hair growth.   You use this brush when you are shampooing your hair and it will also deep clean your scalp to remove excess oil and unclog your hair follicles.   Both the shampoo and conditioner are 500 mL each.  RV $31.00

Skinfood Argan Oil Silk Mask Pack  I’ve come a long way, baby!  I used to rant against getting hair treatments like this, but I have learned how to use them with my oily hair ~ and I found that hair treatments after I color my hair, help keep my hair soft and shiny, as coloring does leave my hair a bit dry and rough.  I am pretty excited to use this and it is a BIG tube of hair treatment ~ I only have chin length hair, so this should last me a while.  Just massage into freshly cleansed hair, leave in for 5 minutes and then rinse out.  For more intensive treatment, you can apply to your damp hair and leave in.   Full Size 200 mL RV $16.00

LG Elastine Travel Kit for Women LG is a huge brand that also owns The Face Shop, Beyond, Su:m 37, CNP, CDL, Derma Lift and more. This is a cute travel kit that contains a Elastine Moisturizing shampoo and conditioner ~ both 50 mL each ~ ON: The Body Cherry Blossom Body Wash (50 mL), ON: The Body Berry Essentials Cleansing Foam (30 mL), Perioe Total 7 Original Advance Toothpaste (3o mL) and a mini toothbrush.   I couldn’t find the ingredients or a lot of information, but what I could find, I will repeat here.  This is a really cute set and I will save it for when I do travel ~ these are all good sizes for a 3 -5 day trip.  RV $20.00

Bakkanto Bison Hot Bath Salt Ruby Grapefruit/Sweet Apple/Germanium (Randomly Selected) I received Soda Squash (which Memebox calls Germanium, but more on that later) and this is another Japanese product!  These are sweat bath salts and Soda Squash has a thickening agent that will turn your water into thick and slimy water that causes it to heat up ~ it is very popular in Japan and it is supposed be a fantastic experience.  These have carbon dioxide in them, so your water will crackle and pop as the bath salts dissolve.  The bath salts have pepper and ginger extracts and rock salt and Soda Squash is supposed to be a fresh, sweet scent like cucumber soda.    I don’t know if grapefruit or sweet apple have  germanium in them, which is not a flower, but a chemical ~ it is metal that helps you sweat, which will then enhance your blood circulation and remove toxins.  It is supposed to help improve your skin and also physical ailments such as digestive and circulatory issues.   Bison makes more than one germanium bath salt, including a hot ginger.   Full Size 60 g RV $5.00

There are a lot of warnings with this product, as they are sweat bath salts, so I am repeating what Bison has to say

• Please drink of water about 1 cup of before bathing.
• If you have high blood pressure, heart disease, prone to light-headedness,  you should avoid if you have a strong feeling of fatigue. 
• When feeling sick, please slowly get out of the bathtub at once.
• The floor or bathtub becomes very slippery in thickened component, so please take care when moving around.
• Please do not use when there is an abnormalities in the skin
• If you experience skin rash, redness, itching, irritation and other abnormalities, discontinue use and consult your doctor.
•  If this product gets into your eyes, rinse  immediately with lukewarm water 
• Please do not use in other than for bathing

As you can tell, I am thrilled with the April Showers Box!!  The Japanese products are really wonderful and I hope this is a new Memebox trend to contain other Asian beauty products besides K-Beauty.  I am really looking forward to trying out the bath salts ~ I wonder, after I fill up with water, if I can have some wine or sake during my bath!  I needed a new bubble maker, so this came in handy and I am looking forward to trying all of the hair products as well.
