The Lastest in cosRX Sheet Masks Review

For the longest time, cosRX didn’t have any sheet masks.  Then they came out with Holy Moly Snail Mask back in 2016 (review here) and it was a fan favorite.  Then nothing. Nada, ziltch for the longest time again.  This year, cosRX decided to comeback with not one, not two but three drops at once!  And they covered the bases here ~ soothing, nourishing and hydrating.   Jolse, a premier K-Beauty online store, sent me two of the 3 masks to review and I had the other mask already.  I will say that I do wish cosRX would renew their Holy Moly Snail Mask, as that was a great skin brightener, formulated with ginseng and snail.

Skin type/concerns:  Oily, aging, blemish prone, pores, hyper-pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles.

I received these products complementary to review and was not paid.  All reviews are my own honest opinion and  I never have been asked to write copy for a brand.  This blog post might contain promo codes, affiliate and referral links, which using my links will help generate a small commission that helps support my blog at no extra cost to you.

omg I have my Mona Lisa smile here!  My mom used to complain when I was little that I would never “teeth smile” and called me Mona Lisa due to my very smug and secretive smile

CICA Calming True Sheet Mask contains a  CICA-7 Solution formula, consisting of centella plant, leaf and root extracts and its concentrated derivatives:  asiaticoside, asiatic acid, madecassic acid and madecassoside.  Centella is a common herbal ingredient that is used medicinally to help speed up wound healing, such as blemishes and skin rashes. It also helps minimize the appearance of pores, and since it stimulates collagen production, it will make your skin more supple and firm. The derivatives come from centella ~ asiaticoside helps form collagen to strengthen your skin and speeds up wound healing. Asiatic acid is an anti-aging compound, that helps to plump up your skin, prevents wrinkles, fine lines and scar tissue. Madecassic acid helps aid in the production of collagen and tissue while madecassoisise helps soothe, reduce redness and inflammation and helps heal your skin.

This also has calming soothing chamomile and healing, anti-sebum tea tree, along with hydrating betaine, pantolactone and glycerin. This does contain alcohol, but I have oily skin, so I don’t mind it as much.   The sheet mask is thin, but not too thin that it stretches out of shape or tears and it fits fairly well.   It has a very faint scent of alcohol with a very watery essence.  It does feel quite refreshing on my skin and cools my skin down nicely. After I removed the mask, my skin felt cool and very hydrated but I didn’t notice any anti-inflammatory benefits.   This does not leave a sticky or tacky residue, so it is a nice morning mask and it does feel good if your skin is overheated.

Ingredients: water, butylene glycol, glycerin, alcohol, betaine, centella asiatica extract, xanthan gum, paeonia suffruticosa root extract, 1,2-hexanediol, polyglyceryl-10 laurate, chamomilla recutita (matricaria) flower extract, glyceryl caprylate, panthenol, ethylhexylglycerin, disodium EDTA, eucalyptus globulus leaf oil, centella asiatica leaf extract, melaleuca alternifolia (tea tree) leaf oil, hydrogenated phosphatidylcholine, diethylhexyl sodium sulfosuccinate, caprylic/capric triglyceride, sucrose stearate, pantolactone, dipropylene glycol, asiaticoside, asiatic acid, madecassic acid, cholesterol, madecassoside, centella asiatica root extract cosDNA

Propolis Nourishing Magnet Sheet Mask  is a nourishing, anti-aging mask that will help moisturize and plump up your skin.  It contains the Bee Trifecta: propolis, royal jelly and honey. Propolis (bee glue) is created by honey bees by using the sap from evergreens or the sap on conifer, evergreens and other trees whose leaves are needle-like.  Propolis has been used for medicinal purposes for thousands of years and is known for its antibacterial, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal properties as well as speeding up the healing time on wounds. It contains antioxidant properties due to its slew of vitamins, minerals and has over 50 different flavonoids. It is also an emollient, so it is not only a good blemish and anti-aging treatment, it also moisturizes your skin as well

Honey has antibacterial properties and can speed up healing in your skin ~ think acne, rashes, cuts ~ while preventing additional infection.  The wonderful texture of honey will keep moisture close to your skin, which makes for a glowing and radiant complexion.  Not only does honey keep moisture in your skin, but it is a humectant, which means it attracts moisture too!   Honey is also an antioxidant, which means it helps repair and combat any damage caused by free radicals and prevents premature wrinkling.  Royal jelly contains B-complex vitamins, nucleic acid, decanoic acid, flavonoids, essential fatty acids, amino acids, enzymes, minerals and natural antibiotic and antibacterial compounds. It is an anti-aging ingredient as well, as it can increase collagen production in your skin. increased collagen production.

This also has hydrating glycerin, panthenol, trehalose and pantolactone along with moisturizing coconut oil.  Soothing chamomile and centella are included while strawberries are great for blemish prone skin ~ strawberries have antibacterial and astringent benefits which help to control oil and acne prevention. It also nourishes your skin with a slew of vitamins: A, B1, B2, B6, C and E, and as an antioxidant, which helps prevent/reduce the signs of aging.

This mask comes with a plastic protector unlike the other two masks ~ I am not sure why as this mask is actually the most plush and has a thicker material.  The essence is watery but it has a much more slippery feel and IT.SMELLS.LIKE.COCONUTS!!!  This mask is really nice on, fit is decent and feels good on the skin.  Despite the thicker material, it adhered well on my skin. Once I removed it, my skin felt very moisturized but again, with no sticky or tacky residue.  My skin actually looked more refreshed and glowing ~ if you are oily or combo/oily skinned, you will really enjoy this as you get a glow up without all of that extra dewiness!

Ingredients: water, dipropylene glycol, glycerin, glycereth-26, alcohol, butylene glycol, trehalose, panthenol, xanthan gum, paeonia suffruticosa root extract, centella asiatica extract, 1,2-hexanediol, polyglyceryl-10 laurate, chamomilla recutita (matricaria) flower extract, glyceryl caprylate, ethylhexylglycerin, disodium EDTA, pimpinella anisum (anise) fruit extract, pantolactone, royal jelly extract, diethylhexyl sodium sulfosuccinate, vanilla planifolia fruit extract, camellia sinensis leaf extract, honey extract, rosa centifolia flower extract, pyrus communis (pear) fruit extract, propolis extract, cocos nucifera (coconut) oil, rose extract, fragaria chiloensis (strawberry) fruit extract cosDNA

The Triple Hyaluronic Water Wave Sheet Mask is a bonus mask that I was gifted.  This one is part of the  Hydrium line, which  contains panthenol aka vitamin B5. Panthenol helps cellular renewal,  is an effective moisturizer and anti-inflammatory. Panthenol is a natural humectant, which retains moisture and hydrates the skin. It also is a good lubricant on the skin, making skin look soft and smooth. Except for the gel cream, these products also contain hyaluronic acid, which not only hydrates your skin, but helps attract and bind moisture to your skin as well.  This mask is cruelty free

Triple Hyaluronic Water Wave Sheet Mask is a mask I wish I had a few more of!  Why Triple? Because it contains a triple hyaluronic acid  formula which will help attract moisture and deeply improve hydration to your skin: sodium acetylated hyaluronate, hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid and sodium hyaluronate.

But wait, there is more hydrating ingredients in here ~ along with panthenol, there is pantolactone, another humectant that leaves skin radiant and plumped up.   acts as a humectant to help the skin retain moisture, leaving skin looking glowy, healthy and plump.  Humectant amino acid betaine is also an anti-irritant, providing silky smooth skin and soothes and calms skin. This also contains calming, soothing and healing herbs of centella and chamomile.  This does contain alcohol in it, so it might not be the best for very dry skin types.

The very thin, yet strong mask is made from an eco-friendly, biodegradable material and the fit is great  The essence is very watery and lightweight.  Despite the alcohol in here, I didn’t pick up the scent of alcohol ~ the alcohol contributes to the refreshing, cooling sensation of the mask and the scent is a very faint herbally smell, to the point where I would say it doesn’t smell like anything. This feels really nice on and afterwards, my skin felt so cool to the touch, hydrated and refreshed. Another great hot day skincare product to use
