I have become a huge fan of A. by BOM products ~ their Ultra Watery Eoseongcho Cleanser and 2 Step Ultra Cool Leaf Mask are my favorites and I will purchase those once I am done with them.  You can read my A. by Bom review here, where I have reviewed several of their products already.  A. by BOM sent me their latest product, which is the 2 Step Ultra Floral Leaf Mask ~ their Cool Leaf is a best seller and now they have created a floral version. Once again, I am very grateful towards Inyoung for sending me these great products.

A. by BOM uses showcases ingredients from natural vegetable and botanical  ~ such as using autumn grains which will help nourish and revive dull, tired skin; floral extracts that will create firm, toned skin that is elastic and soft and seed oils, giving nourishment to make your skin glowing and radiant.  A. by BOM believes that the beauty of Korea is the world’s best, constantly looks to improve and bring better, unique products to their customers and listens to their customers needs. 

Skin Type and Concerns:  Oily, blemish prone, aging, fine lines/wrinkles and hyper pigmentation.

To help tell the difference between a fake and a real A. by BOM product, A. by BOM has put instructions and a security code on each of their products.  Download the M-Check app on your mobile device and then scan the security bar on your package to verify.   If will ask for a security code, which is that area on the box where it states “Security Code”.  Use your finger nail or a coin, and scratch off that area, as if you are playing a lottery ticket and your security code will appear.  Enter that into the app and it will verify if this is genuine or fake.

A. by BOM 2 Step Ultra Floral Leaf Sheet Mask is a brightening and soothing mask and like its green leaf counterpart,  is made from eco-friendly and cooling Lyocell, which is a 100% natural material made from the cellulose extracted from trees. This sheet is biodegradable and is supposed to decompose within a month.  It is hypo allergic and has a soft and silky feel to it, which will absorb more moisture than cotton,  whose strength and durability is similar to polyester and has the coolness of linen.

The mask also has an added bonus of containing aronia (chokeberries) extracts and in China,  this berry is called the “fruit that does not grow old”.  Aronia extracts contribution to the lovely blush-pink color in the mask.  Chokeberries contain a huge amount of antioxidant benefits and its anthocyanin and flavonoids help prevent free radical damage, inflammation and photo-aging from harmful UVB rays.   It not only helps reduce and prevent sun damage hyper-pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, scarring and acne, it also helps firm and tone the skin.

The floral patches contain niacinamide and licorice which are both brightening ingredients that will even out your skin tone and reduce post inflammatory hyper-pigmentation. Niacinamide also provides anti-inflammatory and elasticity benefits while licorice soothes and calms the skin. 

This also has a slew of floral extracts ~ cherry blossom, camellia, lotus, peach and rose ~ I was worried about the rose, so I did do a patch test on the essence and I did not get a negative reaction.  Cherry blossoms and rose will provide soothing and hydration care with rose also providing astringent and pore care.  Camellia helps moisturize and provide oil controlling benefits, while protecting your skin from the environmental damages, peach blossoms provide nutrition.  Lotus extracts are chock full of antioxidants to help with aging ~ antioxidants help combat free radicals and reverse some of the damage caused by it, such as hyper-pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles. Lotus is fantastic for those who are struggling with oily, blemish prone or clogged/large pores, as it purifies your skin ~ your pores will look smaller and tighter and since lotus contains AHA (alpha hydroxy acids), it will help gently exfoliate your skin, removing excess dirt, debris and oil, unclogging pores and stimulating cellular renewal.

This also contains saccharomyces ferment filtrate, which is a fermented ingredient.  Fermented ingredients in skin care products are highly moisturizing, have polypeptides and other anti-aging, anti-oxidant benefits along with antibacterial properties, which is why my blemish-prone and aging skin loves it so much.   They can also penetrate your skin more easily and deliver their concentrated benefits to your quicker.  Centella asiatica is used medicinally to help speed up wound healing, such as blemishes and skin rashes. It also helps minimize the appearance of pores, and since it stimulates collagen production, it will make your skin more supple and firm.

The aronia infused mask contains the 5 blossom ingredients as well hydrating humectants of glycerin and sodium hyaluronate ~ both moisturizing ingredients that will not only hydrating your skin, but draw moisture to your skin.   This mask is full of herbal ingredients as well  ~ lavender helps regulate the amount of sebum our skin produces.  Lavender balances the oil production of the skin and also helps speed up wound healing.  Rosemary has antimicrobial effects and prevents bacteria from infecting pores and thyme is a highly anti-septic herb, helping to clean and disinfect your skin. Chamomile can calm down the skin and relieve redness effectively as it has antioxidant, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. It helps to relieve skin issues and irritations because it soothes and lessens swelling and redness, while healing skin and stimulating cellular renewal. 

Green tea is full of powerful anti-oxidants, due to its high concentration of polyphenols.  Green tea helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Eucalyptus is quite the little powerhouse as it is an anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, antiseptic, antibacterial and will speed up wound healing and finally, one of my favorite ingredients ~  tea tree is used for many infections and diseases due to its healing and disinfectant properties ~ antibacterial, fungicide, antiseptic, antimicrobial, antiviral and can help speed up wound healing and reduce scarring. It helps with preventing dry, flaky skin and because of its antibacterial properties, can help heal current blemishes while reducing future blemishes and control excess oil. It helps with rashes, allergic skin reactions and fungal infections

Based on the ingredients in here, I think this is more of a soothing and healing care mask than brightening, so lets see how this works!

This mask comes in two steps ~ the first one contains 2 adorable pink cherry blossom shaped patches that even have stamens printed on the blossom.  It comes protected in a heavy mesh.  These are quite juicy with a nice gelly essence that smells wonderful!  I am not a normally a huge floral fan, but these smell like cherry blossoms to me.  I love it!  Since these is the brightening step,  you would place this on your skin where you would like additional brightening ~ under your eyes, on your cheeks or on your forehead.

I placed my blossoms on my cheeks, as I have a lot of ruddiness and sun damaged hyper-pigmentation there. 

The mask is also protected with that thick open weave mesh ~ I have never seen any other company use this type of thicker weave mesh protector ~ I find it to be easier to remove the mask from this type of protector than other ones I have tried.  The color of the mask is pink and is also very wet with a thicker essence that is also scented like cherry blossoms. 

The mask fit is really good and covers my big face nicely.   It even comes down on my upper eye area a bit, which I appreciate, as my eye area can use additional hydration and moisture.  This mask has a nice cooling effect while I am wearing it.

After 40 minutes, I removed the mask and whereas my skin was still very damp from all of that lovely essence, I just patted it in and it absorbed into my skin, without any tacky residue.  My skin felt so hydrated and moist, that I just added sunscreen and then applied my makeup, as I felt I didn’t need any additional moisturizing skincare products.  I did noticed that my skin looked very refreshed and brighter ~ overall, my skin looked really good! I also noticed that my redness from my blemishes was reduced, thanks to all of those lovely anti-inflammatory and healing herbal ingredients.

Another fantastic product from A. by Bom!  I originally thought I wasn’t going to like it, due to all of the florals and some initial reviews based on the scent ~ but I LOVE the cherry blossom scent, so the floral scent doesn’t bother me at all.  It is a strong scent, so if you are sensitive to scents, please note this is not delicate or subtle.  This mask is also super cute with the cherry blossom patches and the attention to detail with the design printed on the blossoms ~ A. by Bom did this as well with their Cooling Leaf Mask too ~ the leaves had really lovely detail drawn on them.  The sheet mask is super silky soft and a great fit too for my face ~ I also love that it is pink!  Not only is this a refreshing, cooling and hydrating mask, it is pretty too.   I think this mask is now my favorite out of all of the A. by Bom masks I have tried and I will purchase this!  Many thanks to Inyoung at A. by BOM for her generosity.
